"How do you handle power? How do I? All of us have some power & authority over other people. Every mother inherits her home and rules there. How does a mother handle the authority she has over her children, for example." By Jill Briscoe
Leaving a Mark or legacy is more than just wealth. It is more than just monetary. But rather how we impact other people's lives especially our children. How they will remember us matters the most and how we have influenced their lives is by far more important.

Many of us feel like we are stuck and have been in the same rut for so long that we don't know how get out from it. Rut is something to do about unable living the dream we desire for ourselves due to fear, excuses, procrastination, validation & so forth
Discipline is important raising our children as well as managing our time wisely. When you want to achieve great things in life it takes discipline as well as if you expect your kids to know from right and wrong, discipline will show them what is acceptable and what isn't.
Making a decision may it be a small purchase or making a lifetime decision is crucial but rather hard. It takes trial and error. But as much as we can we want to avoid making a decision that we will eventually regret. You will feel peace of mind and heart and you will just know when you have made the right decision when you can sleep well at night. Never compromise your happiness by being with the wrong person.
Sometimes we need to go against the current and take a risk. We can't expect to have a different life and do the same old things over and over again. It takes courage and gut to step out into the unknown. Anything is possible when you have Faith.
Labeling people and judging others is easy to do rather than looking into our own issues and dealing with it. Labeling people create division and it promotes hate. Rather than label people, it is much better to understand and emphatize with them and see them as a human being who also wants the same things as you do, to be loved, accepted and to belong.
Being Authentic is hard but it is a character you should cultivate. It is now very rare to live life with integrity and authenticity as we look around us, we are surrounded of some who loves to pretend and live a life with facade.
Most of us don't want to confront others especially our family members but it is necessary so that we don't live in bitterness and resentment. It takes courage to tell the person of what she or he has done wrong to you and they might misunderstand you but at least you have spoken your truth.
Our thoughts govern our emotions. Watch your thoughts and shift your mind to think positively. We must discipline our thoughts by shifting our paradigm in how we interpret things only then we will experience change.
Dr. Marshall Rosenberg discussed about Nonviolent communication. To be clear about what you want. Avoid vague and abstract language. Name a concrete action. Clarify your needs. Avoid evaluating and diagnosing people instead observe and emphatize with your needs and able to convey it towards them
Beauty is knowing who you are and being authentic. Beauty is not trying to blend in because you are meant to stand out. Beauty is gentle yet fierce going after her dreams. Beauty is quiet yet relentless by putting her mind and heart into something.
Troubles come unexpectedly. Problems arise out of nowhere but how do we deal when this happens in our lives? We either can go away and escape from God or gaze up and ask for His help. The choice is yours . I hope you choose the latter which I will be discussing in depth in this episode.
David prayed in Psalm 18:37-39, and did not stop praying until he won and tasted victory against the enemy. We don't wrestle again blood & flesh but against the unseen world of the heavenly places against the forces of darkness. We are always in the battle but we can overcome by prayer and meditating on the Word of God. www.lifewithglennavelle.com
Our mind must be directed and must be instructed to where you want it to go. Otherwise, our lives will be no direction if we don't know what we are aiming for. Our mind can act like a child, throwing a fit when it doesn't want to do anything, it is often tell you to stay where you are at being on your comfort zone and don't take a risk because what if you fail. Our mind is powerful and we must recognize that if we really want to see our lives differently and for the better then we have to redirect and teach our brain to think differently.
In this unprecented time, we can't help but get overwhelmed especially as mothers we have been staying at home with our children and doing our business at the same time. Dealing with stress are as follows: Delegate other tasks for another day, Pray, Worship, Take a deep breath, Assess yourself by writing down your thoughts
1. Have a grateful heart. 2. Take one day at a time 3. Laugh, 4. Say, I love you 5. The magic of touch, 6. Don't take matters into your own hands, 7. Drink plenty of water, 8. Clean up your space, 9.;Deal with your past. ,10. Pray ,11. Read the Bible, 12. Journal
1. Make your own meal, 2. Make your own coffee, 3. Cancel unused subscriptions, 4. Conserve energy, 5. Do your own mani/pedi, 6. Trim your own bangs, 7. Buy items on sale/shop at the thrift store, 8. Buy generic brands, 9. Borrow books at the library/ebook format, 10. Sew or stitch your own ripped clothes.
We can't be tossed by the sea but learn to just decide whatever we find our hands to do. Make a firm decision by not second guessing yourself as if your life depends on it. Stop comparing yourself. You are uniquely different.
Procrastination, Laziness, Excuses, Perfectionist & Fear are the attitude that can prevent you from achieving your dreams and goals in life. Taking a leap of faith is all we need to take a step forward to the uncharted territory. We can't expect a different result when we are doing the same things over & over again.
Joie de vivre as French would say. We can approach life with joy by being in the present and being grateful to God that we are alive and we can have peace as Jesus said, "Peace I leave you and peace I give you, not the peace of this world." We can rejoice to our day to day mundane tasks by doing it unto the Lord instead of men.
Procrastination, making excuses, distractions and shortcuts are not the way to go about achieving anything in life. So today, I will help you tackle some of the hurdles that will prevent you from not accomplishing your goals and dreams
We grew up watching fairy tale movies like Cinderella, Snow White & Sleeping Beauty to name a few that were saved by their Prince Charming. But what would happen if we somehow realized the man we marry is nothing like the Prince we have fantasize in movies, is love and happy ending possible?
What are the things that makes you happy without feeling guilty? Mine are as follows: 1. Make-up & Beautifying, 2. Chocolates & Ice cream, 3. French music & classical pop music, 4. Making love, naked 5. Red wine. Enjoy life and do something you love. Avoid living life with legaslism prohibiting you for living your best life now.
Here are the steps I have implemented in creating a business: 1. Be patient, 2. Be Committed, 3. Be Consistent, 4. Enjoy Your Journey, 5. Everything has its time, 6. Keep Learning, 7. Keep your vision alive 8. Set Goals
How to become a classy woman with grace and elegance?
1. Self-evaluation by asking yourself whether you are happy to where you are at today.
2. Watch your thoughts and change your thoughts.
3. Act you become by the British School of Etiquette.
4. Mind your own business. Avoid gossip.
5. A good reputation is better than riches.
6. The law of sowing and reaping
7. Grace is defined as Gently Radiating A Christ-Like Example by markinc.org
8. Give life Through Our Words.
A classy lady displays self-respect, class, appreciation, and etiquette. Once you figured out what matters to you the most, I believe people are going to respect you for it.
To possess and to live a life of becoming a classy woman, you must:
1. Set healthy boundaries.
2. Be willing to say "No."
3. Be honest with yourself and others about what you want.
4. Surround yourself with likeminded people who celebrate and support your journey.
5. Fear the Lord.
6. Never stop learning and challenging yourself.
7. You don't need to prove yourself to someone else but only do what is best for you.
An individual who doubts their talents or accomplishments that internalized their struggle with a fear that they come on as "fraud." Most of us experienced this one way or another. But we must conquer these lies by: 1. Believing in God's calling. 2. Have Faith 3. We are not alone.
These are the attributes on what separates a Wise Classy woman vs a Foolish and not so classy woman. Confidence vs Lack thereof, Accepting vs Comparing, Complaining vs Grateful & Encourager vs Critical Spirit.
1. Prayerful - Communication to God on a more personal level not formulaic.
2. Meditation - Memorizing and contemplating on the Word of God as Joshuah 1:9 was told by God to meditate on the Book of Law if he wants his ways to become prosperous and successful.
3. Journaling - Free writing your thoughts down on a paper or a notebook is a form of therapeutic that can elevate your mood.
4. Reading a book - Reading on your favorite genre can help you expand your vocabulary and be well-versed with that specific topic.

Somehow this art of being a classy lady has lost in our society. Today, I am sharing to you some of the ways we can develop our femininity to be classy and an elegant lady. 1. Being a classy lady, we must learn to develop our Communication Skills. Communication is both verbal and none-verbal. People can read as depending on our language that we have spoken or our body language, either way, it is something we must improve on. Secondly, As a classy lady, we must let our circumstances dictate our mood. There were times in my life when I just moped and loved self-pitied myself after I had a fight with my husband. I refused to eat, cook or take shower but rather I just lied down in bed the whole day, contemplating on what I have done wrong or rehearsing the fight that happened the night or the day before. Instead of wasting our days pitying ourselves, as a classy lady, she will learn to rise up and use her energy towards positive hobbies to get out of rut.
A classy woman is define as displaying self-respect, appreciation, class & etiquette. Dressing conservatively and appropriately are of the ways we can exudes classy. Avoid dressing up with vulgarity that draws attention towards our cleavage. Dress in a way that you feel confident. Secondly is keeping up with our appearance by trimming our nails, combing our hair, keeping active by exercising. Keeping our place tidy and organized is showing our appreciation to our place. We want to be able to keep our place neat and less clutter.
1 Samuel 25:3-25 is a story about redemption, humility and grace. Abigail was a woman who defended her husband despite of his evil doings yet she willingly risked her life to meet with David and begged of his forgiveness to bring harm and destruction to their household and livestock. She girded herself with strength even if she would not be heard or accepted by David.
Shame and guilt must be dealt with in order for us to grow and move on with purpose. There are 7 ways I would like to tackle today on how you can move on from these bondages. 1. Recognize where it came from. 2. Let it out in the open. 3. Forgive yourself. 4. Replace negative talk with positive affirmations. 5. Pray and give your past to God. 6. Set realistic goals. 7. Get-up and pick up your mat and walk
Feminity is more than just our clothes, the way we style our hair or our jewels on our neck or ears, but rather it is the way we carry ourselves as women with elegance, grace, sophistication and class. In the eyes of God quietness and gentleness are very precious in His sight and we must strive to behave as such.
As a parent, we have an obligation to guide our children especially teenage girls and boys to the kind of music and movies they listen and watch. Just recently, a popular worldy musician is promoting vulgarity in her music on which I consider repugnant. What happened to virtue and teaching respect to our younger generation?
King James Version
11 And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him.
12 And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation.
13 And he left them, and entering into the ship again departed to the other side.
14 Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the ship with them more than one loaf.
15 And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod.
16 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread.
17 And when Jesus knew it, he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened?
Jeremiah 11:4, "obey my voice and do according to all I commanded you, so shall you be My people, and I will be your God." The moment we are saved through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, salvation is just the first step. Then sanctification soon will be followed, we are being changed from glory to glory. 2 Corinthians 5:17, "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed away, behold all things have become new." There should be evidence that our lives are transformed from the day of our salvation until today.
A new heart is given when we repent and we have become a born again Christian. We will be indwelt by the Holy Spirit by convicting us of our sin. Once we have accepted Jesus into our lives, the stony heart will be removed and will be replaced with a new heart made of flesh.
Raising a family is rather challenging that can make mothers feel stressed out or get overwhelmed. I was reminded by God that I must operate not by might not by power but by God's spirit. It easier said than done and as a Christ follower I failed to exercise the fruit of the spirit of gentleness and self-control because I let my emotion ruled over me instead of allowing the Holy Spirit led me.
Our lips can either bring life or death, blessing or cursing. Deuteronomy 30:19, Today, I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make.
As an apple tree produces an apple fruit do does our choices we make. What we sow we will reap a harvest whether good or bad. If we sow love we will reap love, if we sow hate we will also harvest hate. Adam and Eve sewed death due to their disobedience the moment they have disobeyed God's command not to eat the tree of good & evil in the midst of the garden. Ultimately we have all fallen short of the glory of God that He had to let His one and only Son die on the cross to give us eternal life. For God so loved the world that He have his one & only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
We will explore the book of James to count it with all joy when we face trials and tribulations in life. We must have faith that is unwavering, ask God's wisdom, trust and wait upon the Lord. Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, acknowledge Him with all your ways and He will direct you paths."
If you confess in your mouth that Jesus is the Son of God you will have everlasting life. Romans 10:10. 1. Saved by grace. 2. We have the witness that tells us about Jesus, the spirit of the water, and the blood. 3. We have the love of God in us. 4. We are promised of eternal life. 5. We have victory against the world.
Be faithful in the small areas on where God has planted you and have called you to do. Read Genesis 37 and study the life of Joseph on how he went through trials after trials before He finally fulfilled his God given purpose. Lamentations 3:26, It is good that one should hope and wait quietly.
The importance of seeking God in our lives is to keep us centered and to focus our gaze to Him who is sovereign of all. Signs of backsliding heart are: lack of zeal for the Lord, No time for prayer, We don't take the time to read our Bible, and We are no longer interested to have a fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ. We must repent and go back to God and seek Him wholeheartedly.
Ezekiel 16:6-14 New International Version 6 “‘Then I passed by and saw you kicking about in your blood, and as you lay there in your blood I said to you, “Live!”[a](A) 7 I made you grow(B) like a plant of the field. You grew and developed and entered puberty. Your breasts had formed and your hair had grown, yet you were stark naked.(C) 8 “‘Later I passed by, and when I looked at you and saw that you were old enough for love, I spread the corner of my garment(D) over you and covered your naked body. I gave you my solemn oath and entered into a covenant(E) with you, declares the Sovereign Lord, and you became mine.(F) 9 “‘I bathed you with water and washed(G) the blood from you and put ointments on you. 10 I clothed you with an embroidered(H) dress and put sandals of fine leather on you. I dressed you in fine linen(I) and covered you with costly garments.(J) 11 I adorned you with jewelry:(K) I put bracelets(L) on your arms and a necklace(M) around your neck, 12 and I put a ring on your nose,(N) earrings(O) on your ears and a beautiful crown(P) on your head.(Q) 13 So you were adorned with gold and silver; your clothes(R) were of fine linen and costly fabric and embroidered cloth. Your food was honey, olive oil(S) and the finest flour. You became very beautiful and rose to be a queen.(T) 14 And your fame(U) spread among the nations on account of your beauty,(V) because the splendor I had given you made your beauty perfect, declares the Sovereign Lord.(W)
Watch to whom you listen! Be not deceived! Not all preachers preach biblical principles. Ask God for wisdom and against the seducing spirits.
2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine but according to their own desires because they have itching ears, they will reap up for themselves teachers, and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist.
Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned and avoid them. 18 For those who are such do not serve our Lord [a]Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.- Watch for the preachers who don’t preach about hell, the judgment of God and sin who speaks more like a Motivational Speaker rather than a preacher. We are asked to convince, rebuke, and exhort and preach the word of God.
We are called not to sugarcoat the truth and cherry-picked the word of God. God is love but God is also a God of just. We are all accountable for every deed and word we have spoken in the dark and in the light.
A tree is known by its fruit. An evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things. -Matthew 12:35-36. We are judge with the words we speak. "For by your words you will be justified and by your words you will be condemned." Matthew 12:37
The fruit of the Holy Spirit came during the Day of Pentecost. Acts 2 illustrates the Holy Spirit as a rushing wind and appeared to the disciples and divided tongues. The roles of the Holy Spirit is found in 1 Corinthians 12:4-10. The Holy Spirit is our helper. As a born again Christian we are indwelt by the Holy Spirit and we must abide and be led by Spirit of God crucifying our flesh.
God is going to purify us like gold and He will remove any impurities out of our lives. He tests our faith whether or not it is genuine. It may be uncomfortable but when we surrender to God's refining process we will come out better and more like Jesus. The thief comes in to steal, to kill and to destroy. Jesus came said, "I have come that you may have life and that you may have it more abundantly." Our enemy is an identity thief and he uses predators preying the lives of our children behind scenes using a social media like Facebook, instagram or tweeter to lurk the lives of teenagers who are gullible and vulnerable individuals. We must end and expose the darkness of Satan and discuss this issue.
Today, I am going to tell you about myself and where I came from. Also, I will share my struggles and the challenges I have faced migrating in the U.S. I am so blessed that God had given me another year to celebrate my 38th years on this planet.
Psalm 62:8, “Trust in Him at all times, you people, pour out your heart before Him, God is a refuge for us.”
Trusting in the Lord is not based on emotion or logic. We don’t trust God when it is convenient but we rely on and trust in Him in spite of our circumstances especially in the midst of trials. As we observe our world right now, we can’t help but get overwhelmed and worry creeps in wondering whether or not there is hope in a dire situation. However in Psalm 60:12 states, “Through God, we will do valiantly, for it is He who shall tread down our enemies.”
God is like a mother hen protecting her chicks in times of trouble, Psalm 60:4 I will abide in Your tabernacle forever, I will trust in the shelter of Your wings.” it may not always be the case that He shelters us from persecution but He promised that He will abide with us forever even if life gets difficult.
Salvation is deliverance from sin and its consequences, believed by Christians to be brought about by faith in Christ.
Every human being (except for Jesus Christ) has sinned. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). The penalty for sin is death. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
According to Galatians 2:16, “knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but faith in Jesus Christ even we have believed in Christ Jesus that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.”
Romans 10:9 New International Version (NIV) If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
As we live in this generation that some are intolerance of our differences and cancel culture is becoming prominent just because we don't agree to the wrong beliefs or support those who are contrary to the Word of God, people or an organization can defame you or take away your career. But as a child of God we must show mercy, love and forgiveness as Jesus exemplify in His own life.
As a child of God we are given tools on how we must live in this chaotic world. We must be set apart from the world. 1) Watch our words. Our words can either bless or curse. 2) We must humble ourselves before the Lord. 3) Be sober & vigilant because of our enemy, the devil. 4) Live RIGHTEOUSLY 5) Seek first the kingdom of God.
We will study Galatians 5:22 & discuss the fruit of the Spirit. The holy spirit is known to be as our Helper, Convictor & who judges the world. As a born again Christian, we are indwelt by the Holy Spirit. We are given a new Identity in Christ.
Fasting is to abstain from eating certain food for a period of time. Jesus fasted for 40 days before He started his ministry. Esther asked her people, the Jews to fast to spare their lives from the destruction. Daniel fasted by only eating vegetables and God had highly favored him. Fasting and praying is a sign of humility to God. When we fast, we must spend our time praying and seeking God's presence. I promise you, He will reveal the hidden secrets of heaven.
Our mind is the battlefield. 2 Corinthians 10:4, For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high that exalts itself against the knowledge of God bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. It isn't about our circumstances, our past or other people's opinions but it is how we respond or virew ourselves.
We don't wrestle against flesh and blood but against the spiritual. The devil likes to conquer and divide to bring down a nation or a family. But God wants us to be unified in spite of our gender, race & social status. As a child of God we know that our enemy are not people but behind that person's body who is at work to create chaos.
We will study and take a look at David and Joseph's lives on how God had anointed and chose them to be in a higher positions. But before they've managed to be in a position, they were both tested with their faith, integrity & loyalty. No matter what they have faced that seem unfair, they never gave up. We can learn from their examples on how we too can fulfill whatever God had called us to do because He is the One who equips us. He. God chooses and God anoints.
Living a holy life for God is being set apart from the world. We can no longer participate to the dictates of our flesh but walk in the spirit. According to Romans 12:1, "We must present our bodies as a living SACRIFICE, holy, acceptable to God. Don't be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of our mind."
God is urging us to Repent and turn away from our idols. Idolatry is defined as worshipping an idol or a person other than God. When we exalt men other than God, He isn't pleased. We must go back and seek God's face while He still can be found. Today when you hear His invitation to seek Him and have a fellowship with Him, don't harden your hearts in a way of being a rebellious child. Read Hebrews 3:15, Ezekiel 14:6-12. Be blessed and be encourage! The Lord is at hand!
Let Christ identify you. If you have been believing the lies of the enemy, it is time to tear them down and let the word of God change you the way you view yourself. Meditate on God's word and use it as our foundation to know who we are. Enough living in a victim mentality and start believing that you are a victor!
My beloved, God had given me a vision on June 29, 2020, a fireball that fell from the sky towards earth and a Man whom I believe is Jesus riding on a cloud. God confirmed it to me in the book of Amos 7:4-6 that says, "Behold, the Lord God called for conflict by fire and it consumed the great deep and devoured the territory."
