It is of a fact that affirmations generate positivity and Goop says: " to consciously harness the power of words for your benefit, we have to start with the ones you’re using".
Together, Let's harness the power of words in our favour. I am Glory Ihinose and see you in the podcast.
Thank you God for me. I must have really loved talking. I shared in this podcast a written speech I gave to fellow teenagers of my church when I was in JSS3 I believe. You would hear me say everything just the way it is. So, get ready for the laughs but I am sure you will learn something; one or two. Thank you so much for the 1,112 plays. I am really grateful.

Note: I missed a lined or two while reading arond time 3:16🤦; Here goes- Carlos answered, " Well, I was thinking about that this afternoon. I clearly remember a time before I had my sporting goods business, when I had a rough encounter with change. "I wasn't Sniff- I didn't sniff out the situation and see the change early. And I certainly wasn't Scurry- I didn't go into action immediately. "I was more like Hem, who wanted to stay in familiar territory. The truth is, I didn't want to deal with the change. I didn't even want to see it." Please pardon me. I must have thought I read it. This episode is ( on discussions amongst the students about how change affect each of their lives.)
1. Change Happens 2. Anticipate change 3. Monitor Change 4. Adapt to change quickly 5. Change 6. Enjoy change 7. Be ready to change quickly and enjoy it again and again. Understand it is safer to be aware of your real choices than to isolate yourself so much in your comfort zone.
NEVER OVERANALYZE OR OVERCOMPLICATE THINGS. Alas, Haw has found cheese station N. To what seemed like a never ending journey has finally paid off. He learnt a lot that the fatest way to change is to laugh at your own folly-- then you can let go and quickly move on. So! Hooray to change!😊
Old beliefs do not lead you to new cheese. Your new beliefs will encourage new behaviours. Haw knew that when you change what you believe, you change what you do. So, you can believe that a change will harm you and resist it... Or you can believe that finding New Cheese will help you and embrace the change.
Your old thinking had been clouded by your worries and fears. Don't think about not having enough cheese, or not having it last as long as you wanted. You may have been thinking more about what could go wrong than what could go right? Remember, don't hang on the believe that changes shouldn't happen or that you be moved. That thought of yours towards change isn't always right.
We find strength and joy in progress, movement and in the belief that Change could lead to something better. This is the case of Haw, He is racing the maze with greater strength and agility. Thoughts of what he would gain instead of what he would lose is all over the place. And I know soonest, he will find just exactly what he's looking for! Is it Cheddar, or Brie... He would find all of them😊
It's getting tougher for Haw. He was getting afraid more often, but he was simply fearful of running alone. In this episode, he found that, movement in a new direction helps you find new cheese. He always laughed or smiled. He wrote "When you stop being afraid, you feel good"! Don't you think that's true. To find out more, see you next week. Have a great weekend and don't forget to always smile 😊.
Haw is on a conquest to find new cheese. Haw is out for change, though a little scared, it was better than nothing. He found little cheese here and there. It seemed his progress was two steps forward and one step backward. He kept smiling and kept hunting. Will be find new cheese? Join me tomorrow to find out. See ya!
Haw is trying to cheer his fellow mate, Hem wasn't into it. He still believed the cheese will eventually come. That's how some people are. Just stuck in their imagination that the same cycle of what they have done will still yield results even when they see that it is not yielding anything.
Happy New Month to all my podcast listeners. Thank you for still listening. Finally, Haw has come to an understanding that Cheese would never re-appear. By now the little people were going tired and weakless. Haw knew they were loosing their edge. Did Haw stay over like Hem? You want to find out... Come tomorrow to hear, listen and know.
It is Cheese station N. It is found. A new station and a new heap size of cheese. Hem and haw are still in cheese station C looking for what isn't there. Afraid of the danger out there and not ready to pull from the shell of fear and find new cheese.
It is the fifth read. Do join us. Now the Cheese is missing, Hem and Haw are quite devastated and still think the cheese was moved. On the other hand, sniff and scurry had moved and are in search of new cheese. Cheese station C has no more cheese, what station do you think is next? If you want to know, join us everyday and you would know sooner.
An amazing way to deal with change in your work and in your life. Sometimes we act like SNIFF who sniffs out change early, or SCURRY who scurries into action, or HEM who denies and resists change as he fears it will lead to something worse, or HAW who learns to adapt in time when he sees changing can lead to something better! Whatever parts of us we choose to use, we all share something in common: a nees to find our way in the Maze and succeed in changing times.
If slow and steady wins the race then swift and unsteady will definitely not win the race. I've come to realise that the word progress wasn't created for naming a child alone but that it really means there is something, a state, a means of action that is known as progress. It may be sunny at the North and at your end it is quite cloudy, remember that there is a rotation on the heavenly bodies, the sun will meet with you pretty soon. This henceforth comes from me saying that patience is needed and there is time and season for everything that you do because even the Father rested.
What does the world say about versatility. Versatility is the key to effective Leadership- Martin Poll. In a world where everyone is unique, there is no one-size-fits all leadership strategy. Neither is there one-size -fits all for getting a job, being hired or starting a business. You have to be versatile, be able to adapt to doing many things or serving many functions. You may say why should i be versatile, okay, see this- you get more available work by being able to adapt to diverse client needs. You also stay relevant by adapting to design trends and what most clients needs. You are up to date with/on trends. You may have doubts on why you believe you should diversify because of the popular figure of speech "Jack of all trade, Master of none" which is a figure of speech used in reference to a person who has dabbed in many skills, rather than gaining experstse and focusing on one. I understand you but you may need to sit to see to know what skills you will be needing before you think versatility. All in all, Be a soup where companies like the swallow family would want to hire rather than a stew (not like stew isn't cool) you know what I mean now (It is just that it is only used with less number of foods). My advice again is to be soups...
In this episode, we would be looking at the five Magic Words. They include: Please, Excuse Me, Sorry, Thank you and the last is Pardon me. A simple detailed explanation about the usage of each of them.
