Horror on the Orient Express: The Board Game lures you into the luxurious Orient Express in the 1920s, taking you on a dangerous train ride into the realm of the Dreamlands. Everything is against you, from monsters attacking the train to murderous cults hiding among the passengers. Worst of all, an eldritch, blood-thirsty vampire hunting down everything that moves. Can you solve the dark secrets of the Orient Express before time runs out?
In this cooperative game, you and the other investigators try to survive on the doomed train. To win, you must hunt out the cultists to stop them from performing a hideous ritual and ensure the train reaches its destination. Each of you controls a character who can develop new skills, gather items, talk to the passengers, discover clues, and, ultimately, decide the train's fate. You may even learn a spell or two!
Horror on the Orient Express: The Board Game brings the award-winning Call of Cthulhu horror and mystery TTRPG into the board gaming world. Special rules, ongoing character development, and awesome play pieces provide a challenging and exciting gaming experience. Your journey on the Orient Express will be something to remember!

Dot Zombies is a tile placement game where players are divided into 3 Survivors and 1 Zombie. The Survivors aim to escape from the Zombie by playing all 10 cards in their hand to achieve victory. The survival of other Survivors is not relevant; your goal is to stay alive. The Zombie wins by blocking all escape routes for the Survivors, preventing their escape. If even one Survivor is unable to escape, it results in defeat. The Zombie should play cards according to the following conditions: Place cards in a way that connects to the paths on Survivor cards.

Among others, EGG has licenses for Pacific Rim, The Crow, Highlander and, until recently, Rebel Moon. They lost that license after NETFLIX pulled out because of alleged confidentiality breaches and both companies have settled recently.

A mission gone wrong. Tensions continued to mount aboard your colony ship as the days dragged on. An anonymous act of sabotage has sent the ship plummeting to the surface of a frozen uncharted planet. Damaged beyond repair, the scattered remains will do little to protect you from the brutal cold.
In the engine-building, worker placement game Cryo, leaders of separate, hostile factions compete to survive and claim control over the underground caverns on a remote icy planet. You need to act quickly and strategically to avoid further sabotage from other factions. Send drones out from your engineering platform to scavenge resources and save your crew still in cryostasis. Gather different materials to upgrade and customize your platform, fine-tuning new actions to suit your individual strategy. Utilize multi-use cards to your advantage, and claim the underground caverns for your faction to survive.

Interview with Lovecraftesque 2 authors
Lovecraftesque is a storytelling card game of creeping cosmic horror, emulating the tone and pace of eldritch horror stories. The game will guide you to create the story of a lone individual who stumbles upon clues to a terrible evil. It creates slow-building, brooding horror that the main character at first dismisses, until all too suddenly it becomes impossible to deny. The ending will certainly be bleak, and the main character is likely to meet their doom.
Lovecraftesque is an emergent mystery game, which crafts a story out of clues that you take turns to create. The game includes hundreds of creative prompts to help you generate your story and guide the main character towards a confrontation with cosmic evil. You take turns to drip weird events into the story, building up your mystery one clue at a time. Each player creates a secret theory about the horror and the truth about the horror emerges from those theories. By the end you'll reach a chilling climax that none of you could have predicted at the start.
A new edition
We created the first edition of Lovecraftesque back in 2015. It was our first game design project and we were delighted with its success. It's received critical acclaim, won awards and gained thousands of fans around the world. But since then we've made it even better.
The new edition gives your group more support for their creativity through prompt cards that help you get your story set up and populate it with interesting clues and characters. The story will seem to write itself. It will also include brand new card-based scenarios to get your story off to a flying start, and which you can also mix and match to make up your own weird tales.
The game is even easier to play with the rules and structure of the game written into the cards and your progress tracked on the board, so you always know what you're meant to be doing. As always we include teaching text to make it easy for you to learn and teach the game at the table, and tools to avoid the stereotypes of Lovecraft’s own work.
We are also commissioning new art by Vincent Sammy and Paul Tomes to make the game look cooler than ever before.
Lovecraftesque second edition will be available as a boxed set with the rules and all the cards you need, and as a virtual tabletop for online play.

I have known Fern for a long time and it was about time I had them for a podcast interview.
Coffee & Chaos is a comedy tabletop roleplaying game about running a cafe, bar, restaurant or other establishment as everything goes very, very wrong around you.
It has been built on a rules-lite framework that facilitates two major things:
1. Allows the game to be played with any characters andwork especially well with pre-existing charactersfor one-off comedy sessions within longer campaigns.
2. Allows for the game to pull away from the idea of winning and instead focus on telling hilarious stories.
Characters are defined by their approaches to problems, which indicate how they would try to fix that broken keg, or negotiate with that difficult customer. These are represented by Knives, Forks and Spoons.
Knives- Direct Approaches
Forks- Creative Approaches
Spoons- Considered Approaches
This allows characters to retain all of their quirks from any other games they might be in.Your druid can still wildshape, your street samurai still has their cyber-arm. But when taken out of their element the focus is on how they use those skills and abilities to solve problems (or accidentally make things worse).

Whether it's a grotty roadside tavern, a chic cyber-cocktail bar or a chill juice bar on the seafront you can make it in Coffee & Chaos! Depending on the atmosphere of your establishment the group will get bonus cutlery to allow them to solve problems in ways that might not come naturally.

The GMS Magazine Podcast: Quackalope extortion and ethics in gaming media.
A few days ago before posting this video/podcast, Quackalope, a well know, large YouTube channel dedicated to board games, came under fire when a company released data que showed what looks like an extortion attempt by the channel’s staff.
We go into detail in the video, but in a nutshell, Quackalope offered to scrap some 50 hours of footage they had recorded because they found the game difficult to deal with, and replace it with newer footage for a 7500$, reduced from 12.500$.

ChatGPT probably poses a bigger risk to authors than Midjourney to artists.
Spotting AI written text will become harder than spotting images generated by AIs, and proving that there’s been some sort of style or copyright violation will be even harder. Not to mention that it is more accesible than images because it refines the text with more human-like interaction than any of the image generators.
And yet, we are talking about that a lot less… I think that is a mistake.
In this episode, Ralf Muhlberger from Ardent Roleplay joins us as an academic specialised in teaching. We discuss how ChatGPT could be used in the classroom and what can we do about it in the future, because, as you can imagine, it’s going nowhere.
Also, Ardent Roleplay has been affected by the new OGL so we discuss how companies can do to avoid problems with WOTC in the future.
