Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery
I will admit I have never watched Knives Out which introduced the main character (Benoit Blanc) played by Daniel Craig. So, I went into this offering from Netflix completely blind. Marvel’s Hit-Monkey (Season 1) – I have no words
There are some things that make you wonder why they have been made: Hit-Monkey is one of them. I have watched this series and honestly watching this show has me wondering why I can’t turn it off. This is a surprise for me because Marvel Television isn’t really known for knocking things out of the box. Especially Mature Content. If you like watching hit men, the Yakuza, and gunfire, this may be the show for you.

Disney Plus Day Thoughts
Let’s chat about Disney+ Day! The streaming service is now two years old and after a slow start due to COVID I will say (event though it may not be completely because of it). They seem to be coming through with brand new announcements and sneak peeks that include new content right out of the Marvel Universe. More X-Men, Zombies, and Agatha? What caught my eye? Let me rant a little.

Eternals (Review) – What Did You Expect?
Rotten Tomatoes basically had this movie review bombed prior to release, the trailers had it dubbed as a cinematic master piece. Me personally I had a feeling this was going to happen and Eternals is an acquired taste and not many people will enjoy it. Here it is folks the good, the bad, and the easter eggs that if you aren’t in the MCU for the long haul there may be a problem.

What If Season 1 (Ep. 7 -9) –It Should Be Called Why This?
#MarvelAnimation #WhatIf #TheWatcher We have the Guardians of the Multiverse. All the previous What If episodes led up to this and honestly you may not like what I am about to say and this will trigger the biggest Marvel fans and where this leaves us for the future phases of the MCU will shock you…

Happy Halloween – I Don’t Get the Hype
#Halloween #HorrorMovies It’s Halloween also known as All Hallows Eve - All Hallows' Eve falls on 31st October each year, and is the day before All Hallows' Day, also known as All Saints' Day in the Christian calendar. ... The name derives from the Old English 'hallowed' meaning holy or sanctified and is now usually contracted to the more familiar word Hallowe'en. Now as a kid I really didn’t enjoy scary movies and as an adult I try to stay away from them as much as possible because they don’t appeal to me. It doesn’t mean that I have never watched them but I really don’t enjoy them. So, what am I going to talk about? Scary movies I have seen that shaped my opinion and what I think about Halloween as a whole you might not like what I have to say….

Injustice (Warner Bros Animation)– A Spoiler Free Review
I was able to see Injustice a few days before its official release. The office release describes it as: Inspired by Injustice: Gods Among Us, NetherRealm Studios’ popular video game, and the best-selling DC graphic novel based on the video game, Injustice: Gods Among Us: Year One by Tom Taylor, the animated film Injustice finds an alternate world gone mad - where The Joker has duped Superman into killing Lois Lane, sending the Man of Steel on a deadly rampage. Unhinged, Superman decides to take control of the Earth for humanity’s own good. Determined to stop him, Batman creates a team of like-minded, freedom-fighting heroes. But when Super Heroes go to war, can the world survive? I have a few thoughts on how this adaptation was put together

Venom: Let There Be Carnage - Is it better than the 1st?

What If? – This Is Bigger Than I Originally Thought (Episodes 2 – 6)
I know I have usually talked about Disney Plus Shows episode by episode but What if ever since I did the 1st video proved to be very different and honestly, I had a hard time piecing these things together to see if it was connected to the bigger MCU or was it going to be a bunch of one and done episodes? Well, looking at the show and marketing here is what I gather…

SHANG-CHI and THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS
I am back everyone and what better to be back with than the latest Marvel movie? I know so many people have already seen this or even watched other reviews how does this compare to other “superhero” movies and were we ready to have another moment of “doing one for the culture”.

Why Do I Still Feel Like Hell?
Last weeks podcast was shut down due to illness. My illness. Man, I know there have been times I felt worse but last week ranks in the top 10. What If? – This Is the People on The Internet All Day!
There are things that as comic book fans we all like to do and it all begins with the statement What If? What if this happened instead of that? The initial episode of What If? On Disney plus is not bad considering I have a natural disdain for Marvel Animation over the years. You can pretty much tell that from how I really never talk about them. Except for “Into the Spiderverse” but that was really Sony Animation so it kinda doesn’t count.

We Mad Over What???
Old school shows are making as comeback we get to relive or see an update or continuation of shows we enjoyed as kids but after seeing the response to and the reimagining of many of these properties are we right for the criticism or are we painting a rose-colored picture of our past. Now don’t get me wrong I had a great childhood but it wasn’t perfect. Neither were the shows I watched as a kid. So many wouldn’t fly in today’s world and it really shows the individual prejudices we accepted. Nostalgia clouds our perception our memories are some what brighter than what they really were. Cartoons in the '80s were filled with magical ponies, robots in disguise, and a lot of things that definitely wouldn't make it onto air today!

Masters of the Universe: Revelation - This is not He-Man
Are we kids again? Anyone else looking back and wondering how great our childhood really was? The simplistic battle of good vs evil or is it? This has been getting review bombed all over the place did Kevin Smith make a mistake or hit it out of the park? 5 Episodes written/produced by Kevin Smith of Clerks and Jay and Silent Bob fame. Loki (Episodes 5 & 6) – Damned if you Do, Damned if you Don’t
The Last 2 episodes of Loki left many people scratching their heads and I get it. If you don’t read comics, you felt that the story left you in Limbo. Well, hell yeah Limbo is the place it did leave you let me explain all of it to you and where this seems to lead us for our Phase 4 MCU journey. Ladies and gentlemen. Peoples. I present to you the Original Kang’s of comic books. No not Bernie Mac and Steve Harvey but the man behind the TVA and the time twisting journey of the Loki series on Disney Plus.

Black Widow (Review) – The MCU Is Back for Better or Worse
Online there have been mixed reviews about this film and I will have to say some people will not like my take on it. So finally, after a global pandemic, three Captain America films, three Iron Man films, three Thor Films, four Avengers Films, and throw in one Hulk film for good measure. We now have only one Original MCU Avenger without their own Motion Picture (sorry Hawkeye). Synopsis: Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger. Scarlett Johansson reprises her role as Natasha/Black Widow, Florence Pugh stars as Yelena, David Harbour portrays Alexei/The Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz is Melina. The feature film is directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Kevin Feige, “Black Widow”—the first film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

(Review) Batman: The Long Halloween Part One
Batman: The Long Halloween Part one tells the story Inspired by the iconic mid-1990s DC story from Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale, Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One begins as a brutal murder on Halloween prompts Gotham’s young vigilante, the Batman, to form a pact with the city’s only two uncorrupt lawmen (Police Captain James Gordan and District Attorney Harvey Dent) in order to take down The Roman, head of the notorious and powerful Falcone Crime Family. But when more deaths occur on Thanksgiving and Christmas, it becomes clear that, instead of ordinary gang violence, they’re also dealing with a serial killer – the identity of whom, with each conflicting clue, grows harder to discern. Few cases have ever tested the wits of the World’s Greatest Detective like the mystery behind the Holiday Killer.

Loki (Episode 2) The Variant – You get a Loki, you get a Loki, we all get a Loki
Episode 2 of the Loki series shows the crap hitting the fan real fast but it opens more questions than answers. Let’s bring some of this to your attention and hear what you have to say or hope to see as we move forward. There are some great fan theories and some utterly ridiculous things out there but with all Marvel Entertainment there is a twist. There are only Six (6) count them Six (6) episodes of the 1stand hopefully not last season of Loki so things are expected to move very quickly and it has everyone scrambling with their theories of what does it mean for the next big event when it comes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Netflix Fresh Fried and Crispy – Are you Hungry?
This is not your average review for GoingFullNerd. There are no superheroes, no Sci-Fi Action, no car chases none of that just a Social Media Personality from YouTube making his Netflix Debut and there is a reason behind me making this “Review”. There is no way in hell I can legitimately review this show, why? Because how can you actually review something made by a friend and say something Good, Bad, or Indifferent because if you say it is good people think you are just being nice because its your friend, if you say something bad you are just being a hater. So as always, I will just be brutally honest.

LOKI (Review Ep 1) GLORIOUS PURPOSE Theories Change (Phase 4 Development)
Time Travel has been a crazy subject when it comes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe along with the continued argument on if the Marvel TV shows are actually part of this “shared universe” of stories. The Loki Series premiering on Disney+ seems to be the beginning of settling this issue or possibly creating more of a problem. Here are my theories regarding this and the move forward as we try to figure out what is going to be happening from here on out. Glorious Purpose - “It's the unspoken truth of humanity, that you crave subjugation. The bright lure of freedom diminishes your life's joy in a mad scramble for power, for identity. You were made to be ruled. In the end, you will always kneel.”

Army of The Dead (Review) – Can I get your attention?
I am having trouble paying attention to this movie. I am not a fan of Horror, Scary, or extremely gory shock value media. What made this movie appealing? Well, this horror heist movie got my attention now let me get yours and tell you what I think whether you like it or not.

Jupiter’s Legacy (Review) – Thoughts from the Nerd Side
Superheroes are not always just DC and Marvel there are so many more outside of the most recognizable and the most seen in media. When NETFLIX signed the deal with Mark Millar people didn’t realize what that meant. Probably one of the best moves ever made for both parties. Today I talk about Jupiter’s Legacy and since I never read the source material this should be interesting.

Justice Society: World War II (A GoingFullNerd Review)
We have another excursion into the DC Animated Universe with Justice Society: World War II that gives us another look at how a superhero movie should be done. Mortal Kombat (Review) – Get Out of Here!!!
I was really excited in hearing about a Mortal Kombat reboot/remake/new movie I have always enjoyed the game in its many iterations and Mortal Kombat is one of the most iconic fighting game franchises in history comparable only to Street Fighter. There has always been a problem though with making movies about properties like this and after watching the new Mortal Kombat these problems have not gone away. **Spoilers are on their way so if you haven’t watched this and have plans to come back after you have done so**

Final Thoughts on Falcon and the Winter Soldier
We made it to the end of the roller coaster ride known as Falcon and the Winter Soldier. While this series didn’t have everyone speculating as much as WandVision did it set the stage for an all new all different Marvel Cinematic Universe (didn’t they use that tagline in the comics?) What was good what was bad and what got left on the cliff we will talk about that now. Falcon and the Winter Soldier ended up being a pretty solid series overall and drastically different from WandaVision and I think that is what made it successful. The overall theme of the show was not about mindless superhero battles and interaction but the detail in world building for the MCU and giving characters that were side notes in the Infinity Saga more history and depth as we move forward into the MCU. **Spoilers Follow So Pause then Comeback once you have watched episode 6**

Justice Like Lightning – The Thunderbolts Coming to the MCU?
I am sure you are seeing the writing on the wall as they look to move forward in the MCU from Marvel Studios. We have hit the 5th episode of the 5-part Falcon and The Winter Soldier and what I can tell you is that this series has more twists and turns than a roller coaster. It was only a matter of time before this series took a dark turn and here, we are. With two episodes left and the feeling that there should be much more and my theories are only partially correct. Netflix Review – Pacific Rim: The Black (I have mixed feelings)
Netflix is doubling down on their anime offerings and I was able to check out Pacific Rim: The Black. Pacific Rim was a movie I enjoyed way back in 2013 it had giant monsters (kaiju), giant robots and special effects that looked good on a big movie screen and on my home theater system. They followed up with Pacific Rim: Uprising, this sequel was dare I say it If you are looking for an Oscar winning performance by the actors in this story don’t this is the type of non-stop action and mindless fun you need to pass time on a weekend. I have been known to say: Too Hood for Mainstream & too Mainstream for the Hood but what does that actually mean? Zack Snyder’s Justice League (Review) – A Point Was Proven but Not the One You Think!!
For the past couple of years, we have been subject to so much internet rants and comments regarding the Snyder Cut. What the Hell Am I Doing? & Why Am I Doing It?
This YouTube stuff is pretty difficult don’t let anyone tell you it is easy. I have been going at it since 2014 officially and 2008 unofficially. What started off as just making clips to make fun of friends became a great outlet to just vent about stuff and after following trends and making plenty of mistakes, I think I am finally getting it right but why is that well let me tell you. Coming 2 America (Review) – Some Things Are Best Left Alone!
After 30 years we get a sequel of what one could call one of the greater black comedic films. I mean It sits among classics starring Eddie Murphy like Trading Places, Boomerang, and Harlem Nights. Tom & Jerry: The Movie (Review) – Same Old Scraps
My Grandson and I watch Boomerang and Cartoon Network heavily but he prefers Boomerang and when we watch the classic Tom & Jerry Cartoons. There is nothing better than the senseless feud that seems to have gone as long as many of us can remember. Now we get a new movie now with Michael Pena (Ant-Man) and Chloë Grace Moretz (Kick Ass) and here are my thoughts… Kid movies with subtle lessons and easter eggs for the adults are common place now. We get this all the time from the major animation players and the use of classic cartoon characters to cash in on the nostalgia element of many of us adults. Tom & Jerry is no difference. We know the basic premise Cat vs Mouse and watching this movie plays that to the max but it is missing something I just can’t place my finger on.

Series End/Theories End - Thoughts on WandaVision’s Final Episode
*** We are going to spoil all this so if you haven’t watched episode 9 of WandaVision stop listening and come back later*** We made it to the end everyone and I don’t know if I should be excited, sad, or disappointed but Phase 4 of the MCU is now officially alive and kicking and should prove to be interesting. So, let us see where my theories sit after the final episode of WandaVision and hopefully predict where we go from here. Let us get to the nitty gritty people I am going to say I enjoyed the series as a whole but like many people I wanted so much more and my desire to have answers and characters that either haven’t been seen or want more of. I think I had more guesses correct than wrong but you know my memory gets a little cloudy at times. I guess I will just bang them out.

Another Take on Superman? Superman & Lois (Pilot Episode)
Warner Bros cannot leave the character alone for a minute. There have been so many takes on Superman some more enjoyable than others and this one spins out of the “Arrowverse”. This though is something different because it shows a fully matured and developed Superman with a family. Honestly, this is refreshing because it adds something that really is missing from live action Superman ethos and that is how he is more human than the people he protects in many instances. He is performing next to impossible feats just a few minutes into the pilot episode yet from the soundtrack to his narration it is grounded emotionally.

I Can’t Stand “Nerd” Internet
Let’s take a moment to pause for the cause and discuss some random topics because the levels of for lack of a better term stupidity in some of the websites and Facebook groups that cover our favorite nerdy topics show people have no deductive reasoning skills or have the desire to do any constructive research. Let’s not talk about patiently waiting for stories to unfold…. Matter of fact we will.

Theories Change WandaVision (Eps 5-6) – Which Devil in the Details?
It’s that time again for my double episode review and theory update regarding Marvels WandaVision. Episode 5 & 6 have had their shares of shocks and surprises but I think the real banger is coming real soon. I have spoken with some people off line and I also have read so many theories online but I think I am getting to the 90% Solution so hear me out: After watching the last two episodes and knowing so many background details about upcoming Marvel productions I think I have a vague idea on where so much of this is going and I think many of you will possibly agree with me. I am beginning to realize that the odd numbered episodes leave you scratching your head more than the even number ones because they introduce concepts that possibly throw you off track. Let’s jump into this because now my mind is blown and everyone will be disagreeing with me after this.

What’s Next for 2021
We made it to February 2021 people and since we are five episodes deep into Marvel Phase 4 with WandaVision, we have seen Anthony Mackie line himself up to be the next level Action Hero on Netflix and soon Disney+ now, where do we go from here? This week as a Superbowl Pre-Game let’s have a quick discussion on our upcoming entertainment menu before kickoff.

Theories Change – WandaVision Episodes 3 - 4 (Review Update)
If you haven’t figured it out, I am reviewing every two episodes of WandaVision so pretty much every two weeks I will update my theories and see how this could possibly shape the MCU moving forward. It is not beyond me to admit when I am wrong and my previous theory while wrong did have some elements correct let’s look at the most recent two episodes and also talk about viewer reactions. The complaints keep rolling in after my review of episodes 1 and 2 I keep getting messages saying how wrong I was to give it a 5 so far, the show isn’t funny, why do they have a laugh track? Listen if you don’t sit your short attention span too used to binge watching I want everything spelled out for me now ass down…. Let me calm down some.

Outside the Wire (Netflix Review) – Training Day Meets I-Robot
Anthony Mackie must have some super-secret sci-fi deal with Netflix to be the next action hero. I mean he was the man in Altered Carbon Season 2 and we won’t bring up his Disney ties as the Falcon in the Avengers films. Outside the Wire is his latest venture and here are my thoughts about it. The Plot In 2036AD, a civil war between pro-Russian insurgents and local resistances in Ukraine leads the US to deploy peacekeeping forces. During an operation, a team of United States Marines and "Gumps" (robotic soldiers) are ambushed. Disobeying an order, drone pilot 1st Lt. Harp deploys a Hellfire missile in a drone strike against a suspected enemy launcher, killing 2 Marines but saving 38. As punishment, Harp is sent to Camp Nathaniel, the US base of operations in Ukraine where he is assigned to Captain Leo, a highly advanced and experimental android super-soldier masquerading as a human officer. Outside the Wire was released by Netflix digitally on January 15, 2021. The film was the most-watched on the platform over its debut weekend.

I Have A Few Theories – A WandaVision Review (Ep 1 – 2)
With WandaVision dropping on Disney + MCU fans like myself are finally getting ready to enter the next phase of the movies we have grown to enjoy. This was not your typical MCU formula production resembling anything we have seen before and it possibly could be a turn off for many who expected something extremely different especially after seeing streaming shows like the NETFLIX Marvel Shows and the Movies themselves. **IF YOU HAVENT WATCHED THEM YET AFTER THIS THERE MAY BE SPOILERS**

Batman: Soul of the Dragon (Review) - a “Bat-sploitation” film
Renowned animation producer Bruce Timm takes the Dark Knight back to the 1970s for a supernatural-laden martial arts extravaganza in Batman: Soul of The Dragon, the next entry in the popular series of the DC Universe Movies. The film is rated R for some violence. Set in the midst of the swinging 1970s, this Elseworlds adventure finds Bruce Wayne training under a master sensei. It is here that Bruce, along with other elite students, is forged in the fire of the martial arts discipline. The lifelong bonds they form will be put to the test when a deadly menace arises from their past. It will take the combined efforts of Batman, world-renowned martial artists Richard Dragon, Ben Turner and Lady Shiva, and their mentor O-Sensei to battle the monsters of this world and beyond!

X-Men Anime on Netflix is it a Pass or Fail?
90s X-Men on Fox was the gold standard that had drawn many people to the X-Men as a whole. It was the literal launching point for the Fox X-Men movies whether you loved them or hated them they were some of the hottest properties out there cashing in on the popularity of Wolverine, Storm, and Professor X and Magneto. Now we have a gap in seeing these characters on both the small and big screen unless you want to watch the older 90s cartoon and all the Fox Marvel films on streaming services or Blu Ray and DVD if that’s your thing. Netflix dug up a Japanese animated series made in 2011 Marvel Anime: X-Men and Marvel Anime: Wolverine I started watching the X-Men Season which is 12 Episodes and has your basic Japanese animation style so I was curious and decided to take a look. **Minor Spoilers Included**

Happy New Year – More Lies, More Drama, More Nerd
It’s that time for the New Years resolutions and seeing how long we can keep up the extravagant promises we make to ourselves each year that usually get swept under the rug by mid-February, early March. We hear it all the time, New Year New Me, this is my year, I’m going to do this better, blah blah blah. So, at a minimum: We are all hoping that the S@#% show that 2020 has turned out to be doesn’t bleed over into 2021. With that being said there will be changes to the Podcast and to the YouTube Channel and I hope that they will all be for the better. Hopefully more movies, more television, more superheroes and even more fun stuff. Now that we are in 2021 does anyone feel any different? I mean just like every other year we are going to have problems writing the date properly but now we have so many other things to worry about. I mean between people waiting on stimulus assistance, unemployment, new COVID strains, and people still not able to get a PS5 or an XBOX Series X I am surprised we didn’t get alien invaders on the 2020 Jumanji game we have been playing for the past year.

Making Star Wars Great Again – Mandalorian Season 2 Review (Ep 4 – 8)
I know people wanted me to talk about the Mandalorian during my live stream but I had to re-watch these last 4 episodes of the second season to keep that energy high. I have been poking the bear for the last two months by saying Star Wars is better than Star Trek and I really have to add context to my statement because I have been getting a few choice words from people over the internet, not like I let stuff like that get to me because I’m an asshole but some of my more dedicated listeners deserve my respect.

WW84 (Review) – The Good, The Bad, The 80s
The hype was real. The Wonder Woman sequel finally hits theaters (sort of) and this movie originally was supposed to be released back in 2019 but due to the pandemic and many theaters being closed like many “Blockbusters” it found itself being pushed back and according to some it should have been pushed off a cliff… **Warning there may be spoilers ahead** Everyone expects me to pretty much bash Warner Bros superhero films because of my disagreement in how Zach Snyder made the core Justice League (Superman & Batman) so dark and the lighter toned movies I really enjoyed (Shazam, Aquaman, & Wonder Woman). I plan on taking a different approach to WW84 because just like in the reviews you see online my house was split in how we felt about the movie although I don’t think there was an extreme “hate” for the film. So, let’s look at the Good, the Bad, and the WTF regarding this movie.

Christmas is next weekend; we are in the Holiday season full swing and I am not 100% a Grinch but don’t ask me anything about the Mandalorian season finale because I need to watch it twice so I can give my proper 2 cents. The Disney Empire Strikes Back – Investors Day Announcements
Hot off of Warner Bros announcements last week regarding releasing all their 2021 Movies in theaters and streaming Disney held their Investors Day. This was the Ultimate Hold my Beer Moment but it still left so many unanswered questions about movie releases in theaters but streaming is about to be off the rails. Now I am a Disney Shareholder so I may be a little biased in all of my talks about Disney as a whole but who wouldn’t be for something that makes the money. I started doing micro share transactions through Stash Invest about two years ago $5 here $10 there and there were some ups and downs but for some reason I stayed with Disney as a stock I invested in. Earlier this year I doubled down putting extra cash into it when COVID hit and shares dropped to $79. I mean theme parks are the big money maker for the company but Movies and Streaming have had to pick up the slack. So, on the announcements made on investment day which for most parts was a rehash of the D23 expo where they announced many of the Marvel properties let me highlight a few of these that they now have trailers for and I would say 2021 and beyond is looking a little brighter. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Reunion – A True Definition of What’s Beef?
This is a departure from my normal Sci-Fi reviewing comic book knowledge spewing information sessions but I had a chance to watch “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Reunion Special”. As an iconic television show of the 90s many say this is a show that launched Wil Smith into the megastar, he is today but outside of the teary eyes and pieces of behind the scenes footage there was an additional story not really revealed till now….

Return of the Man – Mandalorian Season 2 (Review) Episodes 1 -3
Mandalorian Season 2 comes back with a vengeance with easter eggs and revealing more history of the Star Wars universe little by little. Now this particular episode did not have much in the way of displaying the Child but he is still the main focus of the show which plays out like an old school spaghetti western with each episode having The Mandalorian going place to place solving problems on his quest.

Everyone Slow Down …. 2020 Is Not Over Yet (Nerd News of the Week)
#Election2020 #VideoGames #Movies Right now, everyone has a right to be in their feelings whether its sadness or joy. The Presidential Election is essentially over and we can laugh, cry or joke about everything from the past or moving forward. We are still in the midst of a global pandemic, we aren’t sure if the sitting President will concede the election and most of all our 2020 Bingo Card still has Alien Invasion, and Zombie outbreak still as open slots, although I think we do have the Zombie outbreak cut the B.S and I am not talking about Corona. Let’s bring things back to reality and talk about something that should make people happy: Comic Books, Video Games, Superheroes, Sci-Fi, and Movies.

Blood of Zeus (Netflix) – A Thin Line Between Love and Hate
Stories of the Greek Gods are in all sorts of media from movies to comic books and even many of our superheroes are based upon the various pantheons of these stories. Thanks to a recommendation from my friend Demond I was able to see Blood of Zeus. The Official synopsis says: A commoner living in ancient Greece, Heron discovers his true heritage as a son of Zeus, and his purpose: to save the world from a demonic army. That’s the official line, making me almost let this one slip through the cracks but this story teaches a valuable lesson for guys and it may or may not be what you think.

I am not what you call a Trekkie but I love some science fiction and I have followed Star trek for a long time. The New Mutants (Review) – The Parting Shot We Didn’t Need
I was able to see The New Mutants a film that was supposed to be released a couple of years ago during the X-Men Fox Universe series of movies. It has been met with push backs, reshoots, and generally negative publicity ahead of its release. Fast forward to now it finally hits theaters during the COVID-19 pandemic and BOOM, I want to know who at Disney/Marvel wanted this to fail so badly. Superman: Man of Tomorrow (Review) – An Origin Story I Can Get Behind
A new take on the Superman mythos produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment. It is the thirty-ninth film in the DC Universe Animated Original Movies. Pretty much the film chronicles the early life of Clark Kent, before he became known as Superman.

Deathstroke: Knights & Dragons (Review) - He Is Not A Hero
No Batman, No Teen Titans, all Deathstroke. In this new Warner Bros Animation (DC Animated Film) we get an updated origin story for Deathstroke the Terminator the heavily armed assassin that gained popularity from his position as a nemesis to the Teen Titans and Batman also since he was the template in which everyone’s favorite merc with a mouth was based on as a parody or at least that’s the way I look at it but since that Leifeld guy blocked me on Twitter (never knew I was on his radar) I guess I will never get the full story first hand.

Thoughts on DC Fandome: A GoingFullNerd Perspective
I like to think that things were a lot simpler in the past and I stand behind innovation and improvements so I know everyone wants to know different opinions and impressions on the announcements made during DC Fandome and the concept of the whole idea. So, I would ask that you take my comments with a grain of salt because I know there are those who feel I am hating on DC Comics and that is so far from the truth I just hold them to a very high standard because when you are considered the elder statesmen of comics you should conduct yourself as so.

After 7 seasons the Marvel centric television show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. finished its final season and for some it was good riddance for some it was a sad day. The one thing I can say about the show is that it was a wild ride through crazy corners of the Marvel Universe and it started with the statement #ItsAllConnected.

Project Power (Netflix Review): The Power Is in My Baby’s Name
Netflix Originals are hit or miss. Can they be enjoyable? Sure. Can they have big budgets? Sure. Can they have top rated stars? They sure do. So, this week we are going to talk about Project Power a 2020 American superhero film directed by Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost, produced by Eric Newman and Bryan Unkeless, and written by Mattson Tomlin. It stars Jamie Foxx, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Dominique Fishback, alongside Colson Baker, Rodrigo Santoro, Amy Landecker and Allen Maldonado, and follows a drug dealer, police officer, and former soldier who team up to stop the distribution of a pill that gives the user superpowers for five minutes. The concept of this film is quite similar to a 2016 Indian Tamil-language science fiction action film Iru Mugan written and directed by Anand Shankar.

No doubts about it I am an 80s kid. I had the shell toe adidas as a kid, I grew up listening to what people call classic hip hop and most of all I had Saturday morning cartoons and cartoons in the afternoon after school. Black Widow Released as Video On Demand Seems Highly Likely
The entertainment world has been put on pause for over five months now. Due to pandemic precautions, hundreds of films have been forced to delay their release dates, with some moving just weeks before originally scheduled to debut. Flicks like A Quiet Place Part II, Fast and Furious 9, and No Time to Die all dipped from their spring releases, while others like Scoob! and Bloodshot electing to debut on VOD services. Black Widow has been left in an awkward position. Some fans are clamoring to see Natasha Romanoff's first solo-outing stream on Disney+, while others want the flick to premiere exclusively in cinemas. Whether you're on Team Streaming or Team Theaters, recent revelations seem to suggest Black Widow's Disney+ release chances are higher than ever before.

The Old Guard (Review) – Immortal Warriors
There are so many comic books and graphic novels I have not had the opportunity to read before they were made into movies or television series. We are all stuck on our traditional superhero and comic book stories but The Old Guard is something different but the question is: IS IT WORTH WATCHING? The Old Guard is a 2020 American superhero film directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood (Love and Basketball) and written by Greg Rucka, based on his comic book of the same name. The film stars Charlize Theron, KiKi Layne, Matthias Schoenaerts, Marwan Kenzari, Luca Marinelli, and Chiwetel Ejiofor, and follows a team of immortal mercenaries that go on a revenge mission.

The world is upside down right now and now more than ever people need to be aware of how they are perceived in the public eye. From law enforcement, to the military, public officials, and entertainment personalities. I want to focus on one specific symbolism and that is the Punisher from Marvel Comics. This is something that people need to really look deep into the symbolism and be mindful of what they want to portray.

I think I am going to get HBO Max, but not for what you think.
So, HBO Max made a debut to the fanfare of #ReleaseTheSnyderCut and now we have another streaming service ready to duke it out with Netflix and Disney+. I thought about a previous statement I made about not getting it but I think I will change my mind but not for the DC Comics properties that they have or will be getting in the form of original content. let’s take a good look at why you should get HBO Max that don’t revolve around the Snyder Cut or DC Comic book properties.

Justice League Dark: Apokolips War (Review) – This is how you tell a story!
I have watched and raved over so many Warner Bros. Animation Features because of their quality and storytelling. The DC Animated Movie Universe is everything that a DC Comic book fan would want and it does give some insight on what the live action versions could have been. This is the final film in the series and it did not disappoint. Before I start the review let’s track back to the beginning: I had no clue that this was going to be interconnected with all of the titles they produced. Some stories being extremely relevant but others being filler to introduce characters who would later become important in the end. Much like the marvel Cinematic Universe Warner Bros Animation took their time to excite viewers and tell a compelling story without revealing final intentions.

Coffee & Kareem (Netflix Review) – Next Level YouTube Stuff
Sometimes you just need to have a good no nonsense laugh. Real life is a couple episodes short of 100% being a circus clown show. In addition, stereotypes while they can be offensive have some humor hidden within them if done correctly. This is why movies like Scary Movie, Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood, and Soul Plane exist and Netflix is joining in.

What Virus Outbreak/Zombie Movies, Shows, and Games are you Watching?
OK, human nature is dark. I don’t care what you may say or think about that statement but it is 100% true. Why else do we have horror movies, documentaries on serial killers and every movie highlighting fear or tragedy? So, while we are practicing social distancing let’s take a look at some of the movies and shows where we lose our minds as a collective.

Altered Carbon: Resleeved (Review) – Honestly, Wasn’t Impressed
Set in the Altered Carbon universe especially with the characters Takashi and Reileen the brother and sister team are protecting a girl connected to organized crime. The animation style reminds me of the Borderlands video games which in my humble opinion is a great style for video games but doesn’t appeal to me for a somewhat feature length show.

Bloodshot (Review) – A Modern Robocop?
COVID-19 or the Rona has people avoiding large gatherings and movies getting pushed back but I am here to watch the movies that are being released and stuff that can keep you entertained. Let me start off by saying I have never read a Bloodshot comic book ever in my life. The one thing I can say from the first few moments of this movie it had major Robocop vibes and Vin Diesels stoic demeanor fits perfectly but let’s discuss it further….

Review: Altered Carbon Season 1 (Netflix)
GoingFullNerd Synopsis Altered Carbon had that Blade Runner feel in the previews so I was expecting to blow through that show pretty quick because I thought I had seen it all. I was wrong horribly wrong. Here are some non-spoiler basics about the show: The only way you truly die is if a small chip called a “stack” is destroyed. Your body can take insurmountable damage as long as the stack which contains your consciousness is unharmed. You can then be "re-sleeved" into a new body. This brings us to a specially trained soldier/mercenary is brought back to life to solve the murder of an aristocrat by the aristocrat himself. The twists and turns along with integration of what we can call a futuristic society gone wild it is definitely not for children. The nudity and sexual situations and extreme violence will have you on the edge of your seat. This is not something to watch if you can’t get invested in the multiple plotlines which all kept me on the edge of my seat. Netflix is investing some serious money in these originals and I like it. This is visually magnificent and the story and plot lines are well thought out. This is a great look and an intriguing watch. I give it a 4 out of 5 because of some of the un needed in my opinion graphic sex and nudity that really doesn’t further the story. Altered Carbon has gained a fan because I love a good murder mystery and you have to beat the player not the game.

Locke & Key (Review) – CPS Should Have Been Called
I have to say Netflix comes through with some interesting material. I mean since DC Comics and Marvel Comics each have ties with their own respective streaming services Netflix has to get creative with other comic book properties and it’s not necessarily superhero genre material. This brings us to Locke & Key which on the surface is pretty cool idea but then it goes sideways and that can be good and bad for some.

Superman: Red Son (Review) – Cold War Revisited
Superman: Red Son is based on DC’s famed Elseworlds tale from 2003, Superman: Red Son takes place in an alternate reality where the spaceship bearing the last survivor of Krypton crash lands – not in rural Kansas, but in Stalin controlled Russia. Can this Cold War-era Earth survive the coming of a Soviet Superman? I will have to tell you that I never really have anything bad about Warner Bros animation when it comes to DC Comics properties. Now for the most part they are usually Batman centric especially with the titles that we have previously seen and there have only been a couple with Superman. I am not going to dig into this movie too much but it really shows a difference in the direction in the DC Animated films.

My Hero Academia – My Guilty Pleasure
High School and Teen Superheroes have been done so many times before. We have had animated and live action versions as well as comic book interpretations of this idea. Live action movies like Zoom with Tim Allen, Sky High with Kurt Russell, Animated features like DC Superhero Girls, and Comic Books like Teen Titans and Avengers Academy. So far though I am loving the background and premise of a Japanese anime series My Hero Academia, I’m not going to get into it like the hardcore anime and manga fans do but as a casual consumer let me tell you why I dig this series.

Costume Outrage – First Look, The Batman (2021)
It’s up to me to be the voice of reason, between people saying this looks great and those who hate it we got a 1st look at he costume to be worn by Robert Pattinson for the in-development film The Batman. I think we go through this song and dance every time a comic book movie hits the scene but what makes this any different than when the X-Men wore black leather, Superman put his drawers on the inside and Harley Quinn wore regular clothes?

Birds of Prey (Review) - Harley Quinn and the Pips?
Usually I try to come up with some witty sounding title for my reviews but I couldn’t do this for this one. The internet is going in two directions with this one and the DCEU or the DC movie Universe or whatever the hell they are calling it nowadays. Outside of the ridiculously long title let’s talk about what is making the “fanboys” cry about this film and the good and bad points and should you spend the money to see these little “birdies”

The Fast Saga – Are These Guys Power Rangers Now?
Okay people we have finally jumped the shark! Have they actually jumped over a shark in the Fast and Furious films because that will be the ultimate acknowledgement that this has evolved from being the chronicles of the street racing, custom car scene, and evolved into a universe where stealth planes snatch mustangs out of the air and a Dodge Charger can swing like Tarzan from a vine or Wonder Woman on a lightning bolt (see the WW84 trailer for that one).

Let’s go off script for a while and talk about everything we saw during the Superbowl and more. I hope you broke jokers made the bets I told you on last weeks podcast because out of the 8 categories I predicted I was correct on 4 (50%) not bad. We have waited a long time for this movie much like we are still waiting on a new Friday movie. Is this truly the last Bad Boys movie and without Michael Bay will this Jerry Bruckheimer production meet the expectations of the previous two? Netflix Dracula – An Interesting Take on An Old Tale
This series follows Dracula from his origins in Eastern Europe to his battles with Van Helsing's descendants and beyond. Netflix's description reads: "The Count Dracula legend transforms with new tales that flesh out the vampire's gory crimes—and bring his vulnerability into the light." There are three episodes in this particular series and was a group effort between BBC One and Netflix which aired over 3 days and I will say it was one of the most interesting takes on the Dracula mythology. I watched these three episodes not realizing that it was a mini-series and not an ongoing which they really could have done. It starts off pretty similar to all Dracula tales I have ever watched as he is pretty much the undead predator, we all remember but then this story takes a wild ass turn.

Morbius (Trailer Thoughts) – The Living Vampire Joins the MCU Phase 4.1?
We had the drama of Sony and Disney arguing over the rights of Spider-man last year but after seeing this trailer it makes me think that it was all a ruse to get fans in an uproar and let me tell you why as well as give my impression of Morbius. Jared Leto had his try at the Joker in the Suicide Squad yet I can say this teaser trailer looks better for him on this side of a Bat. The origin seems somewhat comic book accurate. The faint hint at the connection to the MCU is not Michael Keaton at the end of the trailer but the picture of Spider-man with Murderer spray painted over it as a direct nod to Marvel Studios Spider-man Far From home ending. Still my judgement is out on this film but the teaser trailer definitely has piqued my interest and even though this is the Living Vampire I hope it doesn’t suck…..

Are We Going to Have Harley Quinn Oversaturation? Birds of Prey Trailer Review and More
This trailer dropped this week and I want to explore and get your opinion on why Harley Quinn is so popular? From humble beginnings in Batman the Animated Series to comics to movies everyone loves Harley. I am talking about the trailer and a little bit more, hope this doesn’t come up short. This movie as well as the comic books is taking a look at Harley’s growth as a character over the years, I talked about how great the animated series from DC Universe is. I remember when the character was introduced on Batman the Animated series and her popularity blossomed but not like how it is today. Fast Forward a little bit and people were saying how they wanted relationships like Joker and Harley this was only because as her character grew in popularity, she had more appearances every time Batman’s iconic nemesis made an appearance, she was the perfect sidekick, but when does a sidekick grow into their own? Harley’s popularity as a standalone character started to grow and that demanded change in character portrayal.

MFKZ (A Netflix Review) Japanese Animation with Zero F*** Given
Have you ever just wanted to watch some trippy stuff? I mean I am one of those people that grew up on the old animated Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Heavy Metal animated movie and shows on MTV like Aeon Flux. This brings me to an animated feature I found on Netflix while scanning called MFKZ. Make no mistake this is 100% adult animation and warning if you let kids even sniff a piece of this you may need to check yourself.

New Mutants (New Trailer Reaction) - Here we go again people!!!!
So, we are going to do this again? I mean the teaser said the trailer was going to drop at 6 AM but it didn’t pop till 4 hours later OK they are going to keep with the push it back theme. This trailer is actually better than the 1st one delivered back in 2017 which proves that someone watched the original cut of this movie and was like hell no we have to do something. I posted two videos about this over the past two years now we will finally get the movie. I have noticed a couple of things I liked in this new trailer vs the 1st. As well as a couple of things that felt like nails on a chalk board.

6 Underground (Review) – Ryan Reynolds Unleashed
Netflix is doubling down on original content and when you pay big money to Ryan Reynolds and Michael Bay you are guaranteed several things and it isn’t necessarily a great Oscar worthy story. It’s not about how many things were wrong about this movie; it’s about managing expectations. I am not sure who greenlit this endeavor but I will have to say they wanted all the action none of the emotional connection to characters, and none of the plot building you would want in a movie.

Watchmen Season 1 (Review/With Spoilers) – Good Continuation of The Book, Not the Movie
I purposely waited to review this series because of all the buzz people were blowing my timeline up with on how great it was, how ground breaking and I will have to admit I wasn’t disappointed. All BS aside though, this series fleshes out the original comic book in ways I don’t think Alan Moore would be pleased with but in my humble opinion is better than anything he would have come up with.

Mandalorian Episode 6 (Review) – The Prisoner, aka “Con Air” in Space
When you are a bounty hunter there is a big problem with connecting with people from your past, you don’t have many trustworthy contacts. The Mandalorian is doing everything he can in order to stay two steps ahead of the Guild hunting him and little YoSephus who Disney calls “The child”. A rag tag bunch of criminal misfits, a now noble bounty hunter, and a cute adorable 50-year-old baby, what could go wrong?

Harley Quinn – Warner Bros Animation Has Gone Off the Chain
I peeped out the 1st three episodes of the Harley Quinn animated series and ladies and gentlemen. I will have to say that I have always felt Harley Quinn has be over used and shoved down our collective throats much like Deadpool and Wolverine over the years. Now we finally get this and now I am feeling some kind of way. I walked into this with no expectations other than knowing that it is another take on Harley Quinn. The language is definitely not for kids and I think that is the appeal for me.

Mandolorian Episode 5 (Review) – Training Day meets Star Wars
This dude has become the most sought-after thing in the Star Wars universe. He is like a fidget spinner from a couple of years ago. They are really using so much of the Star Wars lore it really makes me long to watch the OG trilogy. Little YoSephus really is going to work my nerves by getting into so much stuff knowing he needs to keep his ass put. The Mandolorian is smoother than Denzel in this one but less corrupt. I love seeing my favorite SHIELD agent but I really think it’s because I have a thing for Ming Na Wen. She has a habit of playing a bad ass but this kid who wants to be a bounty hunter working with the Mandalorian has to have been the biggest dummy ever. This reverse Training Day episode is pretty good and I enjoy that this series is getting into the action like even though they still have the kind and caring side of this “hardened bounty hunter”.

Mandalorian Episode 4 (Review) – This Is the Way, Not to Get the Girl
Episode 4 (Sanctuary) of The Mandalorian is a special kind of animal. This basically lets us know there is no way in hell our hero is going to get romantically involved with anyone. The last episode was pretty much bringing him back to the action I was looking for because Little YoSephus (The Baby Yoda Thingy) has taken the internet by storm. Watching the Mandalorian go toe to toe with MMA Star Gina Carano. Which by the way, she put that thang on him.

Black Friday, Cyber Monday, But That Rent Better Get Paid!
Black Friday, Cyber Monday, But That Rent Better Get Paid! Don’t get caught up with that foolishness because those sales look really good. It’s December 1stand those checks hit the bank but so did that mortgage, electric bill, cable bill, and credit card bills you have been paying on all year. Don’t get me wrong I am all for a sale but unless it is off the chain I refuse to get caught up in the hype. Cheap TV’s, Electronics, but none of the stuff you really want is deeply discounted. Maybe the best options are to stay at home and enjoy a few of these streaming video options. On Netflix – Seis Manos The plot is set in the fictional town of San Simon in 1970s Mexico and revolves around three orphans trained in Chinese martial arts. When their mentor is killed, they join forces with an American DEA agent and a Mexican policewoman to avenge his murder. I mean what else you need other than that? Oh yeah, the supernatural and Zombie creatures. Disney+ - Mandalorian You can check out my reviews on the podcast or YouTube as these episodes which have for me have been up and down as far as quality but I don’t hate Jon Favreau getting $15 Million per episode though. Amazon Prime – The Boys I recommend this to watch again I will always enjoy any darker version of the Justice League or superheroes in general and there are so many out there but by far Season one of The Boys has a space at the top of those lists. So finish up the last of that Turkey and get the trash ready for pick up Monday morning and enjoy before all of you have to get back to work.

Raising Dion (Review) – So many times I would have whooped his….
I just finally finished watching Raising Dion this was the Netflix series about a woman who raises her son Dion after the death of her husband Mark. Sounds like a John Singleton flick at first if it was set in L.A. but when Dion starts to manifest several magical, superhero-like abilities we add a level of complexity that either makes or breaks this series. Netflix is creating very interesting concepts for their original shows but this one ran through the BLERD community and everyone raced to watch it and review it. I on the other hand had to wait for my wife because she couldn’t binge watch it and didn’t want me spoiling it for her so we watch one episode every so often until we finished and well, I will say I haven’t felt one way or another about this show. That doesn’t bode well in my GoingFullNerd book because if a show has extreme ups and downs as well as trying to address social commentary all in one it becomes a muddled mess. So let me hit the good, the bad, and the WTF of Raising Dion.

Mandalorian Episode 3 (Review) – This is what I was looking for.
If you remember my last review, I was feeling really skeptical about the direction of The Mandalorian. This current episode actually redeemed itself and that is part of the risk of watching episodic shows. Slowly turning him into the john Wick of the Star Wars Universe this is the type of action I was looking for. Yeah, yeah I know that we have the cuteness of the “kid” (that’s what they are calling the baby Yodaesque creature I dubbed YoMTv) but this episode further reinforces my disappointment in Jango and Boba Fett and their onscreen portrayal in the Star Wars films because this Mandalorian is giving me the badassery I expected from them. So after a minor dip this series has taken a good uptick in my book and chalk up another instance of Carl Weathers getting his ass handed to him. Maybe the Gator form Happy Gilmore, The Predator and Drago sent the Mandalorian some notes on what to do).

Mandalorian Episode 2 (Review) – I Think Boba Fett Was Weak as Hell After Watching This

All the Left-Over Star Wars Props – The Mandalorian 1st Episode (Review)
Just like everyone else I rushed to get my Disney+ Subscription on Launch Day so I could peep the Mandalorian. I will have to say I was not disappointed but I will have to say all future Star Wars related material better be top notch and keep the audience involved because this had a couple of moments, I was like wait a minute and had a couple of side jokes in my head. The bottom line it is a story from a corner of the Star Wars universe that is not connected to those damn Skywalker’s. The empire is shattered and there is no mention of the 1st Order so it probably takes place after Jedi but before the Force Awakens. Seeing this I can say it lives up to the promise of having a Western Bounty Hunter Style show and the twist at the end really had me like oh snap I have to watch this series because it can only escalate from here so I hope they keep this story line interesting. I don’t want to give it an individual rating because right now the jury is still out on the series as a whole.

Wonder Woman: Bloodlines (Review) An Origin Story Addition
Warner Bros animation is on a par all its own when it comes to superhero cartoon adaptations. While they are mostly Batman centric and this one is set within that same Batman centric universe. Warner Bros took a leap of faith on the popularity of Gal Gadot’s live action success and bang here we have one of the most interesting adaptations of Wonder Woman’s origin story I have ever watched. In Wonder Woman: Bloodlines, Amazon princess Diana of Themyscira chooses to save fighter pilot Steve Trevor and return him to his home in America – setting in motion one of Wonder Woman’s most captivating chapters. Fulfilling the role of both ambassador as well as protector, Diana soon earns the name Wonder Woman from the gracious people of Earth. Equally strong in body, heart and will, she makes it her mission to help a troubled young girl enlisted by a deadly organization known as Villainy, Inc., whose criminal members have their sights set on invading Themyscira, Diana’s paradise home. Prepare for a thrilling quest packed with brutal battles, mysterious mythology and endless wonder!

The Joke Is on Us – Joker Movie (Review)
Warner Bros always seems to double down on certain superhero properties. We always seem to get Superman, Batman and all the possible derivatives you can deal with over time. This movie is another derivative of the Batman mythos as told from the side of one of his most iconic villains.

Gemini Man (Movie Review) – Twice the Will Smith, None of the Jazzy Jeff
Ang Lee caught hell when he made that Hulk movie in 2003, but he bounced back with Life of Pi, and Brokeback Mountain. Pairing him up with Jerry Bruckheimer (as Producer) who has always had success with Will Smith in action films gives us the film Gemini Man. Originally conceived in 1997, the film went through development hell for nearly 20 years. Different directors and the top action stars to include Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, Clint Eastwood, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone and Sean Connery were all set to play the title role.

Remember The X-Men? I Remember, But What Is This I Am Reading Now?
We are about to get flooded with movies for the winter season so I have to get my pennies together to go see some of these movies and I guess that I will be recording more reviews in addition to the live stream podcast recording. I took a well needed break to read a few comic books and I really jumped into Johnathan Hickman’s run on the X-Men now it really brings so much of my knowledge of X-Men history into question. I think the X-men have been so messed up since the heyday in the 90s there may be no going back to the drama and status quo which gave us powerful story lines like the Proteus saga, Dark Phoenix Saga, and the Brood Saga. Although, this current story line seems to be tearing things apart to begin over all I can think about is how much of it will stay and how much of will go.

Batman Day September 15th – Who is your favorite Batman?
Billionaire, Playboy, Philanthropist – No that’s Tony Stark. But, Batman (Bruce Wayne) is one of the most loved or overrated depending on your viewpoint. Also over the years we have had so many different versions of the character along with so many classic storylines that keeps this guy going and going. Bad Boys for Life (Trailer Reaction) plus Other Entertainment News
Bad Boys is one of those movies like Friday’s, Menace 2 Society, Juice, and New Jack City that gets many of the brothers super excited. When the first one came out Martin Lawrence and Will Smith were two of the hottest actors on the big screen when it come to movies with black star power. It wasn’t overly “hood” and had the action and explosions which was a signature of Michael Bay and Jerry Bruckhkeimer films. We were lucky enough to get a sequel 8 years later in the form of Bad Boys 2 and hell yeah, the further adventures of the smooth Mike Lowrey and Family man Marcus Burnett didn’t disappoint because of the chemistry and hijinks that Martin and Will had on screen. Now we all know all movies like this should at least come in threes and now we waited 17 years and finally got the third movie in the trilogy.

Trailers, Debates, and Superhero News
Superhero Fatigue is not a thing, superhero withdrawal on the other hand is a thing. These people are losing their mind on the Internet. Since the end of the MCU Infinity Saga us superhero aficionados are back to the never-ending debates of who would win in a fight, is DC better than Marvel and every little What If scenario people can think of. And through all this we got a few new trailers that dropped to spark u so many debates between the informed and uninformed. Terminator: Dark Fate – Sara Conner, and the whole Terminator saga has been changed because, well time has happened. We are going to have crazy action and Arnold making an appearance as the original human template? I said this before on a video, all these time jumps, reboots need to stop sometime a story is really finished being told. (My Original thoughts - https://youtu.be/rHGkKOahjCE) Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-dj_cwdVYg) – OK Disney we know this will make serious bank because it is the final end of this part of the Star Wars saga. I know there will be more films set in this Universe just not connected to the original cast. During D23 people went crazy after seeing this and the thing that drove them really off the chain was not the montage at the beginning of the trailer but the image at the very end of Rey looking real sith-ish or is it dark-sidery? Personally I want to see the Mandalorian (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aOC8E8z_ifw) on Disney+ more I mean hey that one has Carl (Apollo Creed) Weathers in it. Joker (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fEul0-LuiD4) - While we complain about Disney not having the movie rights to Spider-man Warner Bros over here not giving a flying “F”. I don’t know what to say about this movie because Warner Bros. is always doing some weird stuff with their characters. For every good DC animation film, we get a live action film that leave us long time comic book fans scratching our heads. We have had so any depictions of the Joker, Batman, Lex Luthor, and Superman and people wonder why Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and the CW Shows are so popular because they are refreshing to watch because they are different in a good way. I really don’t want to feel sorry or empathetic for the Joker as a character which this film looks to do by all the signs so far. (My Original Thoughts - https://youtu.be/afKgKCnWdlM)

The Custody Battle None of Us Wanted - Spider-Man Disassembled
This has to be one of the most confusing custody battles that many of us are trying to figure out. Just like a real life one who does this hurt the most…. the kids (fans). Everyone wants to blame either Disney or Sony but this is not a moment to take sides because each group is equally to blame or commend for the most recent success/failure of the franchise. The question is not why should spider-man remain part of the MCU it is can spider-man work without the MCU?

I grew up in the 70s/80s which I would call the golden age of kids’ television you know Saturday morning cartoons and fun music. This is what happens when all of the people who want to make things dark. The minute I heard about this movie I laughed and didn’t think I would like this obvious adaptation of a beloved part of my childhood remade into Five Nights at Freddy’s. The original Banana Splits was a packaged television variety program featuring the Banana Splits, a fictional rock band composed of four funny animal characters. The costumed hosts of the show were Fleegle (guitar, vocals), Bingo (drums, vocals), Drooper (bass, vocals) and Snorky (keyboards, effects). I have to look at this remake or shall I say re-imagining as completely crazy and off the chain because the acting was over the top and cheesy as hell. So, thank you for mixing Chucky and Five Nights at Freddy’s and warping my childhood. From the beginning you can tell who is going to get the “treatment” and in those cases it was well deserved based on their behavior. You can see why it went straight to digital and will soon get a release on Sy-Fy Network. It has its moments in the scenes where the Banana Splits have their way with their victims. This movie gets a 2 out of 5 because it is barely watchable and I can’t stand making my childhood so dark and gritty.

It's Fast, They're Furious - Hobbs & Shaw (Review)
This Is as Far from The Original Fast and The Furious as you can get let me think about this, back in 2001 we had a movie about street racers, custom cars, and wild driving stunts your basic action movie elements. Like most franchise movies it had a trilogy that fell under this formula and then BANG they added story elements which included heists and spying now we have an official spin off and WOW did they ever go way off the chart with this one… The biggest loser in all of this Fast & Furious franchise isn’t the fans yeah, it’s pretty much Tyrese (What more do you want from me?). This movie was action from the start it contained all the elements that you want in a mindless summer flick. There was one major thing that I felt it really didn’t need, and that was a connection to the Fast and the Furious franchise. I mean, I get it, you saved some time on having people knowing the back story of the characters but you needed no knowledge of the 2 main characters at all to actually watch and enjoy this movie. Yes, I said I enjoyed this movie but for different reasons than someone who may have actually been a fan of the Fast and the Furious franchise. I mean I liked the Original 3 films because I got to see over the top custom, pimp my ride styled cars which in the early 2000s was pretty fun to watch. As the movies evolved into the action/heist/save the world drama II was cool with it but not overly joyed but it was an acquired taste (I mean we jumping cars between two buildings and using nitrous like it was water. In Hobbs and Shaw we have found a way to have Jason Statham and The Rock save the world in their own unique way and not be grounded semi in reality by Vin Diesel and the crew. The movie was a spy thriller more in the set of an 80s or 90s action flick (you know deadly virus on the loose and two unlikely heroes have to save the day). Aside from that I really enjoyed watching it with the cameos from Ryan Reynolds and Kevin Hart Hobbs & Shaw provided that mindless getaway from reality people expect from a summer action movie. Don’t break your necks for premium formats though and see it as a reduced-price matinee if you just want to get out and see a movie until the next big blockbuster hits the theaters. Hobbs & Shaw get a hearty 3.6 on the GoingFullNerd 5-point scale.

The Boys Season 1 – Superheroes are 100% Jerks
I will admit that there are many comic books that I have not read over the years because I have been your traditional superhero fan DC, Marvel, some independent stuff but really the most basic of superhero stories. Good guy fights bad guy, good guy wins no collateral damage everyone cheers. The Boys is not that type of superhero show. ***There will be spoilers*** GET OVER IT First thing let’s set the record straight this series is not for kids, graphic violence, nudity, sexual situations are plastered throughout the show from the beginning and it shocked the mess out of me from the very first moments of the show. I will admit that watching the trailers and previews which were obviously toned down for broadcast really didn’t give me a clue to the level of debauchery (I just wanted to use that word) this show was going to have. Especially since I didn’t know the source material until after I watched the show. The intertwining plot points and a faux Justice League known as the Seven who were more of a mix between the Justice League we know and some of the alternate version who were a lot less noble like the Crime Syndicate or Squadron Supreme. I did the research and read the original source material which was even more disturbing than the show. But I will focus on the store more than the comic. The Seven had no regard for human life it was all about marketing and making money and personal pleasure. Everything from addiction to a screw it attitudes when it came to saving lives mothing mattered than the all mighty dollar or their own personal agendas. The Boys were equally off the chain and I really feel they were justified in their actions but when I say they were over the top they were over the top. I mean how would you feel if a super speedster disintegrated your girl all that was left was her hands and forearms as you walked down the street and all that was left was her forearms? There are many differences from the original DC/Wildstorm/Dynamite entertainment comic book but overall, they stayed true to the intent of the original source material and I will say that is rare for many superhero/comic book translations even on the big screen.

Long Live the King, Lion King – I Mean the Original Though
I really wasn’t trying to do a review on this movie because no matter which way I go people would be upset. I know Disney invested a few dollars in this film and in it’s opening weekend it made $185M domestically. My wife wanted to see this one because she is a die-hard fan, knows every scene, every song now I am not that deep. I was planning on sleeping through the movie because I have the Blu-Ray of the cartoon and wasn’t overly excited to go. Hakuna Matata - No worries though

San Diego Comic Con 2019 From the Outside…. Way Outside
Still, I sit on the outside, way outside but sitting here like I am connected to the Matrix pulling in so much information and news from the truly exciting, to the what in the hell were they thinking about? There was so much put out that was interesting by many of the pop culture and comic book publishers from movies, to games, to toys and I plan on talking about a few of these things that piqued my curiosity. Comic Book Conventions no matter what the size always has so much to take in. Even when you go you have to pick and choose what you want see because you will never ever catch everything. So, even though I really want to go someday to SDCC this really may be the best way to enjoy the experience to absorb and understand the news being put out.

Stranger Things 3 – Even the Upside-down Has Its Ups and Downs
Netflix has its own troubles with the number of movies it will have available for its library since Disney and Warner Bros are creating their own streaming services. Netflix has one thing going for them they have great original content and they also have not so great original content. Stranger Things as a whole fall into the great original content pile but how does Season 3 stand up to the ongoing story of Hawkins, IN? Season 1 – Creeped us the hell out Season 2 – Had a couple of WTF moments as we learned more of 11’s origins Season 3 – makes us realize a couple of things: it does not pay to fall for Joyce Byers – (Wynona Rider’s character) Hopper is the stereotypical overactive father figure AKA Fat Rambo Wow, as kids we could do so much more stuff in the 80s

Spider-Man: Far from Home – The Best Spider-Man movie yet?
A world without Iron Man and Captain America. Five years have passed and while others moved on time has stood still for you and you have to figure out where you fit in all of this. This is the basic premise of Spider-Man: Far from Home as Peter Parker the Spectacular/Amazing/Insert Adjective here Spider-Man has to deal with. The internet is a cruel space and everyone has their opinion on who was the best actor playing a particular character. This movie puts Tom Holland up there with Tobey Maguire and this holds its own as one of the better Spider-man movies. This movie is a fitting end as well as beginning to the next phase of the MCU. Disney/Marvel can go in many different directions with the ideas they left on the table after this film and as they have in the past used misdirection and teasers to keep the audience on their toes.

Black Mirror Season 5 – Who thinks of this $#@!?
There are three episodes to this season and I don’t know what to say about this season overall. Black mirror has been hit or miss overall with the stories. People can say this is a darker version of Twilight Zone or the Outer Limits.

Batman vs Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Review)
Happy Father’s Day – I used to think as I got older things would get easier but I say things get more complex. I want the remind everyone to wish their father’s and father figures a Happy Father’s Day. Remember we are all someone’s superhero. I wanted a feel-good movie something I could watch and relax while watching. Batman vs Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles gave me that relaxing vibe because it is a kid’s movie not a hardcore Batman animated film like Warner Bros has been putting out.

Dark Phoenix (Review) – Easily the Worst X-Men Film Ever
Have you ever made a decision you knew you were going to regret? I had a choice and I know now I chose wrong. I usually don’t do live movie reviews and I try my best not to spoil these movies when I do. I will be breaking all of those rules for this movie, so spoilers ahead, if you had plans on seeing this and choose not to take my advice to avoid this film and the reasons, I am about to give stop watching/listening right now. I have not seen a movie this bad since the last Fantastic Four movie (which was another Fox production). This movie does not bode well for the New Mutants film that is sitting in post-production hell. You can obviously see that this movie was made oblivious to the fact that Disney was preparing to purchase Fox and this was a final flip off to Marvel from Fox.

I Can’t Afford Video Games Anymore
I know I usually talk movies each week and I have been ignoring my video game roots. Outside of really not having time to relax and game properly with all the adult stuff I have going on in life. I think that just like the movie industry the video game industry has gotten greedy and pretty much priced me out of the game.

With Enough Prep Time Batman Can SPARKLE….
The wait is over, we know who our front runner to play the Batman in Matt Reeves “The Batman” is……Robert Pattinson!!! You know who this guy is, the man who played the sparkling emo Vampire that caught the hearts and minds of teen girls everywhere. Where does that leave the Batman fans though? I have seen all sorts of memes since this announcement and the best one was: Batman Fans: Well at least they can’t make Batman any worse. Warner Bros: Really? Hold on to my crackpipe.

Happy Mother’s Day everyone and happy Mutha’s Day to some of you mutha’s. IT Chapter 2 – We got a teaser for the sequel/part 2 to the “horror” movie IT now as always, I don’t do horror. But I have one simple issue with the teaser if you look at about the two-minute mark did the old lady walk past the door bucket nekkid?? That just confirmed all the hell no’s I plan on giving this movie. Watch the trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqUopiAYdRg John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum – Keanu Reeves let’s get that ass kicking action we are used to from the who has created a body count super high because someone messed with his puppy? Just joking this is going to be a must see for action movie lovers. You guys ready to go with me? Watch this trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGwc80UXYmQ HBO: Watchmen Series - Game of Thrones is getting ready to end. So, HBO is going to try and make that comic book money. We got the official tease for the new Watchmen series based on the comic book published by DC comics. I really don’t know where this fits with the original comic because the later attempts at DC and current comic book stories involving the main characters but I will attempt to see how this series fits in between the books and the previous movie or is it on a different tangent all together. Avengers: Endgame (MCU Future) – Spoilers Inside Part 1
This is my full spoiler filled review of Avengers: Endgame and thoughts on the future. The elephant in the room is the main Avengers will never be the same because all of their stories have come to an end like their contracts. In my spoiler free review, I said this movie wasn’t perfect. It does confirm in my humble opinion that we will not get a large scale connected story in the future Marvel films. Let’s talk each character and the future impact their actions will have on the MCU going forward. Remember to Like, Share, and Subscribe. No Spoilers – I Finally Saw Avengers Endgame (Review)
I will be doing three separate recordings regarding Avengers: Endgame. This video, my spoiler filled video and next Sunday’s live stream where I will discuss as many details with a couple of friends and I will give you my theories and discuss yours. Know this: Avengers Endgame is a fitting end to 11 years of movies. This was more than just a trilogy arc like most films it was a very detailed undertaking by Disney and Marvel Studios. The three-hour film did not feel like three hours. There were emotional ups and downs well worth the trip.

Don’t Spoil the Endgame – Tips to Avoid the Spoilers
It is a damn shame that the Russo Brothers the directors of Avenger’s: Endgame have to put out a letter to tell fans not to ruin the experience. This is one of those movies where the internet will be hard to be on after Wednesday night. There are different types of individuals that will spoil the movie and I plan on letting you know the types of individuals who WILL spoil it for you and what you have to do to avoid them.

What in the Hellboy Is This?
Here we go people comic book movies have always been subject to reimagining. I mean look at so many versions of Batman, Superman, heck we even had the X-men series reboot and don’t talk about a couple of Hulk movies or the Fantastic Four debacles. Hellboy is the latest comic book film to catch the reboot treatment.

Movie Review - Little
The box office was pretty light this past weekend and sometimes you have to keep the wife happy and do a date night movie. Now Little is a cute story not really the type of movie your boy will be breaking his neck to go see but this is a hint for you single guys or newlyweds if your significant other wants to go see a movie about a woman turned into a little kid you take her to that movie, especially if you plan on not having problems.

Game of Thrones Season 8 – Is This Damn Thing Over Yet?
I have never watched one season or even one episode of Game of Thrones. Before anyone can start flaming me online, I can really explain why. I get it this show has a following that rivals the fan bases of fantasy universes like Star Wars, The Walking Dead, Harry Potter, and Star Trek. Since we now know that Season 8 is the final season there will be people like me who can find the complete set once it is all done and watch from the beginn
