90. Steel (1997)

90. Steel (1997)

Did you know Shaq was a basketball player? Well Steel will not let you forget it. Did you know Steel is a character from Superman comics? Well there is no reference to that at all. Did you know that Steel is wiggly like rubber? Well evidently it was in 1997.

89. Best of the Best (1989)

89. Best of the Best (1989)

Mullet Kombat! The rules are simple, so they won’t be explained at all. Basically all you need to know is America and Korea are the only 2 teams in the karate world championships. Darth Vader himself coaches a rag tag group of American heartthrobs like Eric Roberts and Chris Penn to compete against the evil (?) Koreans then melodrama and montages ensue. Enjoy

88. Under Siege (1992)

88. Under Siege (1992)

Under Siege is everyone’s favorite Steven Seagal movie, it’s his highest rated film, and it was Oscar nominated. But is this Die Hard knockoff on a boat a “good” movie? Can a powerhouse performance from Tommy Lee Jones and the very presence of Gary Busy take it from Goodbad to good? Oh also Playboy Playmate Erika Eleniak is topless.

87. Big Trouble in Little China (1986)

87. Big Trouble in Little China (1986)

Kurt Russell, John Carpenter, ancient Chinese mysticism and monsters. Basically the absolute perfect recipe for a Goodbad cult classic.

86. Final Destination (2000)

86. Final Destination (2000)

Death comes for us all, in a very specific order. For some of us death really lays it on thick and blows up your house with a vodka bomb. On this episode we discuss the popular teen horror film from 2000, Final Destination starring Stan from the Eminem video.

84. Hook (1991)

84. Hook (1991)

We know we know, you love Hook and you love Robin Williams. So do we. Both are global treasures. However Steven Spielberg himself has admitted he is not happy with Hook. It does have only 29% on Rotten Tomatoes. Plus it was originally meant to be a musical and it was going to star Michael Jackson. Soooo it’s worth discussing the 1991 retelling of Peter Pan vs Captain Hook and deciding if it is Goodbad or just bad.

83. Judge Dredd (1995)

83. Judge Dredd (1995)

On this episode we are reviewing Demolition Man: Attack of the Clones aka Judge Dredd. Is this guilty pleasure Stallone flick as bad as they say it is? Is it just Robocop redressed? Is Rob Schneider responsible for its failure? Give us a listen and find out, you’ll be glad you did.

81. Godzilla vs Kong (2021)

81. Godzilla vs Kong (2021)

Finally we get to talk about Godzilla vs Kong. What we won’t talk much about is Eleven, Coach Taylor, podcast guy, Rebecca Hall, Dr Tarzan, or any of the other humans. The only thing that matters is who will be The King Of Monsters? Oh yeah and F’n MECHAGODZILLA!

80. Superman IV: Quest for Peace (1987)

80. Superman IV: Quest for Peace (1987)

Zack Snyder’s Justice League has once again brought Superman into the public eye so we thought now was a good time to discuss Christopher Reeve and his last attempt at the Man of Steel. Superman IV: Quest for Peace is considered the worst of them all, but is it really?

79. Batman Forever (1995)

79. Batman Forever (1995)

Michael Keaton and Tim Burton were done with Batman by 1995. Enter Val Kilmer as The Dark Knight, Jim Carrey as The Riddler, Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face. Add some nipples to the bat suit, Seal’s Kiss From a Rose, Chris O’Donnell as Robin, and some neon flair and you’ve got a Joel Shumacher “masterpiece”. Basically Batman Forever walked so that Zack Snyder’s Justice League could run. Shumacher cut > Snyder Cut! Not really but here is our review.

78. Howard the Duck (1986)

78. Howard the Duck (1986)

Jon and Danielle finally discuss the infamous George Lucas 1980’s dud Howard The Duck. It’s a space travel movie that isn’t Star Wars. It’s a Marvel movie that isn’t MCU. It’s a kids movie with duck nudity. It’s exactly what we are looking for!

77. Cradle 2 the Grave (2003)

77. Cradle 2 the Grave (2003)

On this episode Jon and Danielle discuss Romeo Must Die starring Jet Li, DMX, and Aaliyah. What’s that, she is not in this movie? It’s called Cradle 2 the Grave you say? Why isn’t it Cradle 2 da Grave or Cradle to the Grave? Anyway, this is our review of Interchangeable Rapper + Kung Fu Star 6

76. Real Steel (2011)

76. Real Steel (2011)

What do you get when you combine Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots with Over the Top and Rocky? No, not a law suite. You get the surprisingly underrated Hugh Jackman non-wolverine movie from 2011 Real Steel.

75. Rampage (2018)

75. Rampage (2018)

What do you get when The Rock, King Kong lite, Joe Mangianello and a flying wolf go head to head? Mayhem! In one of our favorite GoodBad 2 episodes, Jon and Danielle get WILE about wild animals and Dwayne Johnson. Listen with a side of pepto bismol in your latte.

74. Mortal Kombat Annihilation (1997)

74. Mortal Kombat Annihilation (1997)

We covered the video game turned hit movie, Mortal Kombat way back on episode 1. Now we are talking about the sequel that takes place seconds after the first and completely disregards everything that MK set up. Raiden, Sonya Blade, Johnny Cage, Jax and a few others are completely different actors now, but at least Liu Kang’s hair is back. This is our fatality of Mortal Kombat Annihilation. Finish Him

73. The Shadow (1994)

73. The Shadow (1994)

Before there was Marvel’s Avengers, before there was Batman, there was The Shadow! Alec Baldwin brings the 30’s noir hero to life in this 1994 superhero film. The Shadow is an opium addicted hero who can’t defeat a flying knife that bites. However goofy it may be, this movie is actually really fun. This is our review.

72. Cliffhanger (1993)

72. Cliffhanger (1993)

Is this Sylvester Stallone movie Die Hard on ice? Yes, but it’s so much more than that. It’s also John Lithgow doing a terrible British accent, a seemingly endless amount of teleportation, shirtless Italian Stallion, 90’s action elements such as C4 explosive, night vision goggles, and desert eagle hand guns. In other words it’s perfect

71. Con-Air (1997)

71. Con-Air (1997)

Nicolas Cage and his mullet seem to organically produce guitar riffs. Every thing that can explode does, and a lot of things that can’t explode do anyway. All of your favorite stereotype movie felons are here. Ving Rhames, Danny Trejo, Steve Buscemi, and John Malkovich as the all time great villain Cyrus The Virus. Goodbad? This thing is a masterpiece!!

70. The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006)

70. The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006)

We have a good time watching bad movies. We have a good time watching bad movies. We have a good time watching bad movie....No matter how many time I say it, this movie still absolutely sucks. We did have a great time talking about it though. This is our review of The Santa Clause 3, Tim Allen and Martin Short’s contractual obligation of Christmas kids movie that is filled with troubling themes and unfunny jokes. It even has a show tune. A full length North Pole show tune (ugh). ENJOY!

69. Reindeer Games (2000)

69. Reindeer Games (2000)

It’s time for another timeless holiday classic review . This time it’s Ben Affleck and Charlize Theron in a heist movie with more twists than a candy cane, Reindeer Games. The cast of this movie is just as crazy as the plot. Ron Jeremy, Isaac Hayes, and ex-NFL player Dana Stubblefield are all in just one scene! Gary Sinise, Danny Trejo, and Dennis Farina also help ram this movie up your chimney. Enjoy the forced xmas puns & our review

68. Christmas with the Kranks (2004)

68. Christmas with the Kranks (2004)

Half timeless holiday classic. Half Home Alone knockoff. Half Tim Allen signature holiday fare. Half John Grisham neighborhood conspiracy. Half mutant daughter who kills people with fire from her eyes? Ok we made that part up, but it made the movie way better. This is our review of the popular guilty please, Christmas with the Kranks.

67. Spider-Man 3 (2007)

67. Spider-Man 3 (2007)

Before Marvel gave Spider-Man his Homecoming, and before he went Into the Spider-Verse, and even before Andrew Garfield was Amazing, there was Tobey Maguire and Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man series. They brought us the high highs of Spider-Man 1 & 2, and the low low Spider-Man 3. That’s what we are talking about today. Sandman, Venom, Green Goblin, Jazz dancing, emo haircuts, Eric Forman, and Kirsten Dunst all conspire to take Spidey down. Will they be successful? Listen to our loving review to find out.

66. Masters of the Universe (1987)

66. Masters of the Universe (1987)

Everything you love about the classic 1980’s Masters of the Universe cartoon without all that pesky He-Man taking up screen time. Dolph Lundgeren is great and all but instead of him you get exciting action like Courtney Cox’s parents, Kevin and his Japanese synthesizer, Grildor, and all the laser gun fights Star Wars didn’t want. Some say that if you listen closely on a starry night, you can still hear Frank Langela receiving oscars for his role as Skeletor.

65. Cats (2019)

65. Cats (2019)

Cats has been a highly successful Broadway stage show for years, but now it’s an infamous movie blunder as well. On this episode we try to figure out if Cats is simply sexy nightmare fuel or a so bad it’s good masterpiece in the same conversation as Howard the Duck, Showgirls, and Plan 9 from Outer Space. Taylor Swift, Jason Derulo, Jennifer Hudson, and Tom Hooper may act like Cats never happened, but this CATastrophy will never leave our Memory. This episode is in honor of Mr. Silky aka the neighbors cat. RIP

64. Timecop (1994)

64. Timecop (1994)

Time travel movies that took place in a future that is now our past are usually pretty rich with goodbad treasures. Adding Jean Claude Van Damme to the mix only makes things better. On this episode we break down the plot of Timecop (1994) and the show goes completely off the rails when we do our awards. Enjoy the batsht good time.

63. Maximum Overdrive (1986)

63. Maximum Overdrive (1986)

Halloween isn’t over yet! We still need to talk about Stephen King and his debut/farewell film as a director, Maximum Overdrive. A cocaine fueled romp through Dixie Boy, a North Carolina truck stop terrorized by sentient trucks and sprinklers! Luckily for the folks at Dixie Boy, Emilio Esteves is there on parole to save the day.

62. Plan 9 from Outer Space (1959)

62. Plan 9 from Outer Space (1959)

We finally got around to watching Ed Wood’s infamous science fiction horror Plan 9 from Outer Space. We break down the complete nonsense of the plot and talk about Bela Lugosi, Vampira, and Tor Johnson plenty, BUT the trivia about this film is enough to blow your mind and we have plenty of it. Enjoy.

60. Jennifer’s Body (2009)

60. Jennifer’s Body (2009)

Goodbad horror October rolls on with our review Jennifer’s Body. Megan Fox stars in this cult classic which has a pretty bad reputation and was poorly reviewed by critics. Is it as bad as they say or is it a hidden gem? Listen to find out.

59. Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982)

59. Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982)

The Halloween franchise is the foundation of any October horror movie marathon. We all love the way Michael Myers hides in the shadows. Well he does some of his best hiding in Halloween 3: Season of the Witch as he is never seen... or mentioned at all. This movie is actually about masks that melt kids heads and fill them with crickets and snakes after they hear a jingle on tv. It has absolutely nothing to do with Jamie Lee Curtis or The Shape. We had more influence on this movie than John Carpenter. Enjoy our review

58. xXx (2002)

58. xXx (2002)

If you found this episode while looking for adult films we apologize bro. This episode is actually about Triple X or xXx the film. The middle X is capitalized so there is no confusion. Kick flipping off the success of The Fast and The Furious, Vin Diesel stars in this James Bond meets Tony Hawk movie that is dipped in Red Bull and breaded in Xtreme early 00’s industrial heavy metal. It even has cameos from Rammstein, Eve, and Matt Hoffman. In other words bro, it’s the perfect movie, bro.

57. Hercules in New York (1969)

57. Hercules in New York (1969)

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s first movie, and it’s a doozie. This is a Goodbad hall of fame movie. It has everything you want; god awful acting, a nonsense plot, lighting made of rebar, weightlifting contests, every New York stereotype, a bear fight, I said a BEAR FIGHT, and all the flexing nobody asked for. Here is our review of Hercules in New York

56. The Mummy (2017)

56. The Mummy (2017)

This might be our most polarizing episode yet. In 2017 Tom Cruise starred in The Mummy and it was supposed to start an entire series of Dark Universe monster movies for Universal. That didn’t happen because it disappointed at the box office and was a massive critical failure, with only 16% on Rotten Tomatoes. ⁣

On this episode we break down the film and discuss whether or not it deserves its 16% and being called “the worst movie of 2017”. Spoiler alert, it’s doesn’t! ⁣

Listen to find out our thoughts on The Mummy and follow @thegoodbadshow to share your thoughts. Enjoy

55. Sudden Death (1995)

The foundation of our show has become Jean-Claude Van Damme movies. This week it is Sudden Death’s turn to get roasted and reviewed. This JCVD hockey based Die Hard rip off might only exist to be pro firefighter propaganda, but it’s still a penguin fighting good time.

54. Suburban Commando (1991)

54. Suburban Commando (1991)

WWF Superstar Hulk Hogan plays Hulk Hogan from space and Christopher Lloyd plays Doc Brown on qualudes. Generic intergalactic bad guys are no match for this dynamic tag team. Join us as we roast and review Suburban Commando, a painful attempt at sci-fi and an even worse attempt at comedy. Luckily for you, we are pretty damn funny and we are hear to tear this thing to ribbons. Enjoy

53. Kickboxer (1989)

Danielle is back, and so is Van Damme. It’s time to walk the streets of Siam! We have covered a handful of JCVD movies, including Street Fighter and Bloodsport, but no muscles from Brussels collection is complete without Kickboxer. On this episode we break down Tong Po’s face, Kurt Sloan’s shorts, the brothers mullet and wetness noises, an epic dance scene, and something called “sex overalls”. Enjoy

52. Battle: Los Angeles (2011)

If you like your movies loud and nearly impossible to see what’s going on. Battle Los Angeles is for you! Imagine the Transformers movies only with no transformers, instead you get aliens that look like they were made on an iPhone app. Yep it’s that good and here is our review.

51. Starship Troopers (1997)

A coming of age story about graduating high school at 27 years old, joining the military to impress a girl and earn your citizenship in Brazil, going off to combat against giant bugs using only your football skills, and climbing the ranks within only a few days. On this episode we review and roast Starship Troopers, a nazi allegory gone wrong.

50. Green Lantern (2011)

50. Green Lantern (2011)

“Don’t make the suit green...or CGI.” Well, they did both. If you thought DC superhero movies don’t get any worse than Batman v. Superman or Justice League, we are here to tell you how wrong you are. This movie is 2 hours of People Magazine’s sexiest man alive Ryan Reynolds sleep walking his way through cosmic nonsense and fighting an intergalactic octopus cloud with a magic ring so that he can survive this dumpster fire and go make Deadpool. Here is our review of Green Lantern!

49. Commando (1985)

49. Commando (1985)

Arnold Schwarzenegger. More guns than one man should be able to carry. A plot that doesn’t matter in the least. A bad guy who looks like chubby Freddy Mercury in a chainmail blouse. 109 dead bad guys. And all the great one liners you could ever ask for from an 80’s action extravaganza. This. Is. Commando!

48. Fifty Shades of Grey (2015)

48. Fifty Shades of Grey (2015)

Tell grandma to leave the room because this episode is highly explicit...although not as explicit as we thought it might be. On this episode we give our review of Fifty Shades of Grey. Is it the ultra steamy and risqué erotic fantasy film for sheltered women that we’ve all heard it is? Or is it mostly tedious contract negotiations and heinous line stepping that only a billionaire could get away with? Lower your boundaries and put your headphones in for an audio helicopter ride to sexy Seattle with us. Enjoy

47. Romeo Must Die (2000)

47. Romeo Must Die (2000)

Jet Li is Romeo! What’s that, he’s Han? Jet Li is Han, and he must die! What’s that, nobody is trying to kill him? Ok well you know what, they might have whiffed on the Romeo + Juliet parallels but they nailed the early 00’s hip hop meets action genre. Aaliyah is a surprisingly good actress and gets used like a weapon to kill a motorcycle lady, dozens of people die so that the Oakland Raiders can move to Canada, and DMX has a casino featuring absolutely no gambling. What else do you need. This is or review of Han Must Please Leave

46. Space Jam (1996)

Michael Jordan is back in the spotlight because of ESPN’s documentary series The Last Dance, so we thought now would be a good time to revisit Space Jam. 45. Armageddon (1998)

45. Armageddon (1998)

Aerosmith provides the tunes and their singers daughter. Michael Bay provides the American flags and explosions. Bruce Willis gives you the squinty looks and sometimes a Texas accent. We provide the analysis of the biggest schlockbuster of all time, Armageddon. A lingering Oedipus complex in American space explosions. Just what the moviegoers ordered. Listen to our review of the movie you cried to in 8th grade and laugh along with us in this week's episode of GoodBad 2: The Sequel

44. Double Team (1997)

If you found this thinking it was the Disney movie Double Teamed (yikes), we are very sorry to disappoint you. However if you found this thinking it was about the Jean-Claude Van Damme movie with Dennis Rodman and Mickey Rourke featuring a tiger fight, scuba drag queens in the walls, an erotic bathtub workout, and more slo mo explosions than than you can count...then you are in luck. We review THAT movie in this episode, plus the return of our popular new segment, Lie Me a Story.

43. Superman 3 (1983)

43. Superman 3 (1983)

This might be the craziest movie we have covered yet. We discuss Richard Pryor (who is in THIS movie) being a computer genius for no reason, Superman who is high on krytomite (not kryponite) committing ecological terrorism in order to get laid, a super computer that turns humans into robots, and the STRAIGHT tower of Pisa. Take that Italy. We also have a brand new segment called Lie Me a Story that you don’t want to miss. Enjoy
