Making Our Marriage Work With Busy Lives
We roll out of bed at 5am most days, then return to those cozy sheets around 10pm for a few quick hours before we start it all over again. We do our best to start the day with prayer and some Bible time but I would be lying if I told you that is the routine. We want it to be, but four unpredictable small children along with two energetic dogs have a knack for creating emergencies that interrupt or derail those intentions completely. Then there is homeschooling, cooking and cleaning, playdates, errands, designing fitness wear and other BlessedBodywear.com duties, and countless other family related tasks that Ana manages to get done in a day. If I am not welded to the computer I am off workout outside of the house building a brand new business and tending to my share of the BlessedBodywear.com responsibilities. We do our best to get at least one meal together as a family per day, and I try to shut it down and spend some time with the family each day, but again, I would be lying if I told you I succeed.
Busy is a common problem for many people and its a big problem for us. If we are not careful our conversations are only about kids and work. The time we get together as husband and wife often comes at the end of a long and exhausting day when we have little or nothing left in the tank.
We talked about it, and we both wanted to do better so we came up with some solutions that worked for us so we wanted to share that in hopes it will help someone else in the same boat. Never give up on love and never let it grow cold. It needs attention, nurturing, and it needs your time.

An Hour With Jimi Tunstall, Former Special Forces Operator
Jimi is a friend. We attend the same church, we see things the same in many regards, and we have a heart to serve others. I am a former SWAT Cop and Jimi is a former Special Forces Operator. This is our first podcast together and it opened a can of worms that could well turn into a dozen more shows if we took the notion to do that. Maybe we will. He is an interesting man, a bona-fide tough guy but with a huge heart, and he holds nothing back, unless it's classified. Jimi openly talks about how he grew up, his unlikely encounter with an Army recruiter, and his service to our great nation where he spend over 14 of his 20 years of military service outside of the USA.

Daniel Tangi On The Fast Track
I would like to think that every parent wants the very best for their kids. In the same breath, they want their kids to be strong, in every sense, and to have embraced the wisdom imparted to them during the formative years immersed in good parenting and family support.
That’s the storybook hope, at least. The world, however, is teeming with counseling schedules booked solid with parents of bad kids and bad parents of good kids, and every imaginable iteration of each in between.
Daniel Tangi is one of those storybook kids. He isn’t perfect, nor are his parents, but the God they worship as a family is, and because of that, God has been the cornerstone for the Tangi family through the best and the very worst of it. And, it’s God that remains to this day as the cornerstone of seventeen-year-old Daniel's life.
I watched a football game that Daniel played in last year and saw him run the ball. The kid is fast. Beyond fast. He is the kid that blows past every other red-faced and straining kid effortlessly, like they are standing still. College scouts come to his games, salivating, because signing an athlete like Daniel is their Superbowl of success, and for some, he is why they became scouts.
A quiet kid that wants to become a broadcast journalist covering sports, Daniel joins me on the show this week. I think he will be one of those kids that we will all be talking about one day saying, “Remember when Daniel Tangi was a kid, and you did that podcast with him? Look at him now.”
At seventeen he is a man completely devoted to God, his principles, his family, and doing the right thing in faith. He is also an incredible all-round athlete with blistering speed, and a plan for what he wants to do when the stage lights go out and he turns his focus to things beyond athletics.

Dating Tips For Those Late In Life
It's later in life, and you find yourself faced with the prospect of dating again, and the list of unknowns is intimidating. Many of the lessons life has given you resulted in scars, and the whole idea of starting from scratch with someone new is both exciting and scary.
In her late fifties, Elaine Goodlad joins me on this episode to talk about being single at a couple of years short of sixty. And with enough divorces under our collective belts to keep a lawyer in designer suits for years to come, we have some hard-earned advice for those wishing to take that plunge.
As always, I pray it helps someone out there listening.

It's All Your Fault, And Other Lies
Ana Tigre and I get into it in this episode of the Unscripted Podcast. She says I'm not perfect, and this coming from someone that...
We all can do better, so why focus on the things that annoy you about your wife or husband? Or your kids, or friends, or anyone else for that matter. The problem may be that we tend to focus on the negative in others rather than the positive, so we only see the negative and miss all the things we could appreciate.
Focussing on the negative and placing blame may be nothing more than a habit. We discuss our realizations and how changing our habits has paid off in a more happy and peaceful home. We also talk about habits and how they can be easily changed so that we don't fall into the negative rut we have learned from others along the way.
As always, we hope this podcast helps someone.

Interview With My Favorite Model
After a five-year break to raise kids, Ana is getting the urge to model for me again, and I couldn't be more excited. It will be different now because she has evolved, and there are stories to tell with pictures that weren't there five years ago. In this episode of the podcast, we talk about her modeling career, what I disliked about photography, how life has changed for us and how she has evolved. We enjoyed making this podcast and are excited to start shooting again.
I've included a small sampling of images we have shot together over the years. Ana is my wife so of course I love her and am proud of her accomplishments, but she is my favorite to work with because she is the most versatile and skilled model I have had the honor of photographing.

Get More Productive When Working From Home
Early in 2020, the USA was locked down and quarantined. Two weeks to flatten the curve, they said, and I really wanted to believe that. Had I not been so naive, I could have made a fortune investing in services like zoom and other video conferencing software.
The business world pivoted, everything went online, and the term "working remotely" defined how things would get done in America and beyond for years to come. At first, it was a dream come true for many. But it didn't take long for people to realize what Ana and I have known for years; working from home and being productive is almost impossible.
There are too many distractions, too little motivation, and accountability, and it's too easy to develop unproductive habits unwittingly. We have learned the hard way to solve many of our problems related to working from home, so we share what we have learned in this episode.

How I Learned To Manage Crippling Stress
In the last episode of the podcast, we talked about how I recovered from what was supposed to be a medical death sentence due to heart issues. Part of that recovery story was about how I learned to manage stress, and since it was significant enough to warrant its own show, Ana and I talk about it in this episode. As always, I hope what we say here is helpful to someone else.

How Ana Saved My Bacon
In 2001 I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and had an ejection fraction of 35. That means each time my heart pumped a beat, 35% of the blood in my heart would be squeezed into my circulatory system. Normal is between 55% and 70%. My heart was also severely enlarged. During hospitalization and extensive testing, I was told by the doctor that I would not survive beyond fifteen years, provided I stopped lifting weights. In his estimation, that was the source of my issues. He said if I did not stop, I would be dead within ten years. He said I would not be placed on a transplant list because, in his words, "you have done this to yourself."
In 2015 I walked out of the cardiologist's office on June 26. it was my birthday. He had just presented me with the results of a very in-depth two weeks of testing. He told me my ejection fraction was now 65. He said I had no detectible plaque in my circulatory system. He said my heart was a normal size and was functioning well with no abnormalities or concerns. He told me he didn't need to see me again unless any problems arose.
God gets all the credit for this one, but like all things God does in our lives, he requires faith and action on that faith from us first. He led Ana to take an approach that saved my life.
I am just telling my own story here. If you have health issues you should always consult a medical professional, and educate yourself so you understand the issues as best you can so you can make an informed decision. I am not recommending anyone else do what I did or didn't do.
This is a story about faith in God and proof that he still performs miracles today.
We make reference to the nutritional approach we took but it's too big to fit here but if you follow this link to the story on my website it's all there for you. Link to the story and nutritional plan on my website

How Would I Live Knowing I Was About To Die
Greg Hasberry's kidneys failed when he was in his forties. At the time, he was a healthy athlete, had no vices, and lived a responsible and productive life. He became dependent on dialysis to stay alive, but dialysis is not something a body is meant to do for the long term. After four and a half years of three to four treatments per week, it was wearing him down physically and mentally. His body was failing, he was on a list for a kidney transplant, but there had not been any suitable matches. He knew his life on earth was coming to an end, so he got his affairs in order, made provisions for his daughter to be cared for, and resigned himself to what he thought would be his fate.
During his entire illness, Greg never stopped caring for his daughter, his parents, or his family, and he ran his personal training business as usual. The extra-special service and care he is known for never wavered. His friends always saw his smile, heard his cheery, upbeat voice on the phone, and his kindness, patience, and genuine concern for the needs of others never waned.
One day Greg got a call from a guy he knew wanting to meet for coffee. Of course, Greg agreed despite his extreme fatigue and everything else that comes with the reality of his body shutting down and his life coming to an end. This guy needed him so he would be there.
The two men sat down, and the man offered to donate his kidney to save Greg's life.
In 2015 he had his transplant surgery and since then has taken on a life and a relationship with God that is inspiring.
His father, now 83 years old, is about to start dialysis this week. Greg will continue to be at his side while Mr. Hasberry fights his battle. I can only imagine how this must feel for both men.
In this episode of the podcast, Greg and I talk about his experience, his life post-transplant, and what his father being sick brings back for Greg. I am honored to present my friend Greg Hasberry, and I trust you will find him every bit as inspirational as I do.

Elaine Goodlad Reflects On Two Decades In The Fitness Industry
Her unlikely journey to stardom on stage and notoriety as a globally recognized fitness model began after a discussion in the gym between us about her following in the footsteps of then Ms. Olympia Cory Everson. I assured her we could get her there, and she, equally as naive and gullible, believed me.
Over thirty years and an incredible career as a top IFBB Figure Pro and world-renowned fitness model later, we sit down to reminisce about that crazy dream and how we made it come true.

Facing Demons with Brian Tangi
The seasoned warrior never hopes for someone untested at his side as he rides into battle. The new guy may look like a physical specimen, his freshly painted walls littered with certificates and diplomas, and his latest-greatest gear shiny and new. Yet, despite the promise of greatness, the full depth of a man's character is never known until tested by the prospect of losing it all.
Brian Tangi is one of those men that shares his thoughts with kind and well-measured words, but his eyes and presence hint of a thing far less gentle. He has faced the prospect of losing it all, more than once. Rather than shrink into darkness and let evil determine his path, Brian found the courage to stand up to his demons, forgive others for theirs, and do what it took to overcome.
He is my friend, the guy I want at my side when crap hits the fan because I know he will be there no matter what. He has taught me a great deal about being a Christian, a father, a husband, and a man, and he has done it in the most impactful way; by his example.
Brian Tangi and I kick off the 2022 Podcast season with a very real conversation about being a man, flawed just like everyone else, but courageously taking responsibility for change.

We Adopted Cole
Six months ago, we took foster placement of a little boy named Cole. Yesterday we adopted him.
We adopted Cady and Emma earlier this year.
For the past four years, Ana and I have been foster parents. It's been life-changing. We have aged tremendously, and we have lived exceptionally. We have hurt like never before. And we have discovered a capability in ourselves and others of loving and being loved so completely and unconditionally that we never imagined possible.
Most of all, we have served God faithfully, made countless mistakes, but each day we evaluated, forgave, and asked forgiveness, then got up the next day determined to do better.
And today, we woke up, no longer raising someone else's children for them, but raising our own. It's a lot to take in. It's what we prayed for, and God answered those prayers.
Ana and I sit down to talk about the experience, some of the highs and lows, and moving forward.

Getting Back Up And Winning
I met Tanji Johnson in 2001 when she had just graduated from being an amateur athlete to the Professional Division of competitive fitness in the IFBB. She became an icon in the fitness industry, competing for 15 years as one of the very best, and at times, the very best in the world. As a photographer and journalist, I had the privilege of covering her career for fitness industry magazines and websites and witnessing some of the incredible highs and devastating lows she experienced along the way. Despite two typically career-ending injuries, she recovered and came back stronger and better than ever.
The approach she takes with life is the same she took with her athletic career, and because of that, she is immensely successful at everything she chooses to do.
I hope you find Tanji and her approach to facing difficulty inspiring. We all can most certainly use some inspiration right now.

Fitness Over Fifty
Aging looks very different in 2020 than it did when I was growing up. The average 60-year-old man or woman looks and acts very differently than they did even a generation ago. Fitness is the culprit. That and eating healthier and living healthier lifestyles. Until now, however, finding applicable information about aging and staying fit has been challenging. Most of the available fitness information created is for a younger audience, and the information available doesn't address some of the biological changes those over 50 experience like changing hormones, changing digestion, and reduced recovery, for instance.
And the information available for those over 50 is not always applicable to non-sedentary types and indeed not committed athletes that function at a high level of fitness and capability.
Kevin Myles, Author of The Diet That Works, is our guest today, and we talk about his new project that just launched, The Fifty Plus Fit Club. Kevin is a well known trainer and qualitifed expert on nutriton and training and a 61 year old male elite athlete. In other words, the perfect man for the job.

After Nearly Four Years Our Little Boy Is Gone
We are foster parents and our little boy Kwamane has been with us since he was 4 months old. He is four now and has spend every day of his life since January 2017 with us. Six weeks ago he went to live with his biological mother. We knew it was coming and it's a day she has been dreaming about since they were separated and we are very happy and supportive of her. But that doesn't make it easy, it just makes it right.
Ana and I finally break the silence and talk about Kwamane and the story behind him leaving in this episode.

The Story Behind The Pictures
Ana has been my favorite model to work with for over a decade now. We have done hundreds of photoshoots together, but since we became foster parents four years ago, and adoptive parents this year, working together has been rare. Recently, Aunt Elaine Goodlad gave us a day off, so Ana traveled with me to LA to do a photoshoot.
Ana and I talk about shooting together, modeling, and our shoot in LA. I hope you enjoy and if you want to see the video of the photoshoot, click the link here. And thank you for subscribing to my youtube channel.

Raising Responsible Adults
As a father and a taxpayer, I can't help but look at the state of our world and ask myself who the heck raised these fools. My grandmother was the most significant influence in my life, and she was born in 1917 in the prairie province of Saskatchewan in Canada. She and my grandfather were farmers. They survived the "hungry thirties" as she called them and washed clothes with a washboard, fetched water from the dugout to cook and clean with, chopped wood to heat the house and stove, and a doctor was a day's ride away in a horse-drawn wagon.
They came face to face with survival each day, and the community around them pulled together, so no one starved, and all had the bare necessities. Manners were important, so civic pride and duty, hard work, integrity, and taking responsibility were the hallmarks of a good person.
Times have changed. But why have they changed?
Elaine Goodlad and I , or "Aunty Elaine" as she is called in our family, were raised by the same kind of people and come from the same neck of the woods. We sit down to talk about what we think went wrong and how Ana, and I are raising our kids and why.

Being Prepared For Disaster - Interview With A Prepper
Before 2020 I always thought of people who stored large caches of food and water, medical supplies, and other supplies and survival equipment as oddballs. After lining up to buy toilet paper and rationing squares when none could be found, I have changed my opinion. Being prepared by having some basic survival provisions and equipment stored away is just prudent. In the event of something catastrophic happening to a community, it's the socially responsible thing to do.
Security and personal protection expert Micheal Healea joins me on this show to talk about scenarios that quite possibly could happen and how to prepare so you and your family can survive a catastrophic event or disaster.

Dealing With The Covid-19 Pandemic And Depression
This year has kicked everyone's butt and some people much harder than others. Suicide is such a problem that the US National Library Of Medicine website posted an article titled Covid19-Suicides: A Global Psychological Pandemic. Ana and I talk about our circumstances and what we have learned about ourselves and each other that has helped us beat the hopelessness, frustration, and circumstantial depression so common in our country, and around the world.
As always, we hope to add something to your day that helps.

Sisters And Vegas Showgirls
Alexi and Joli Irvine are sisters, professional dancers and models, and both are Vegas Showgirls. They have played many of the biggest shows on the strip, yet they remain grounded and are sweet and down to earth girls despite their ample time in the spotlight. When we visit, I often sit and marvel at their hyperspeed back-and-forth sibling banter, so I invited them to do a podcast with me to talk about dancing, performing, and being sisters.

Why We Didn't Celebrate Our Anniversary This Year
Our eighth wedding anniversary came and went with little fanfare on the 8th of this month. Ana and I had dated four years before we married, we wanted to be sure. So with a strong love and twelve years of wedded bliss under our belts, it should have been a day we even wanted to celebrate. But we didn't. Not in the traditional way, at least.
This podcast is revealing. We talk about how our marriage was brought to the brink this year, and why. And we share the simple truth about how we turned things around. And with all the love that fills our home, we talk about the most painful reason why our anniversary was a quiet one this year.

Interview With Celebrity MMA Fighter Kimi Couture
Kimi Couture, the business executive, and entrepreneur, turned professional fighter, got into women's Mixed Martial Arts back when no one thought it would be successful. She was one of the pioneers, one of the original few professional female MMA fighters in the world, and while she didn't win every fight she had, she was tough as nails and one of the most entertaining and exciting professional MMA fighters, male or female, of that time.
We sat down to talk about those days, growing up tough on a ranch in Colorado, her very public celebrity life, and very public divorce from MMA legend Randy Couture, and finally where she is today.

We Found Out What Makes Us Happy
This year has taught us a great deal about ourselves, our family and life and we will never live it the way we once did. It's infinitely better now. In the absence of all we knew due to covid and quarantine, we discovered what really makes us happy and what is most important. All of our dreams have changed, as have our goals, and our new life is much simpler than the one we were living before 2020.
Ana joins me for this show, the kids were napping, and we talk about those changes and how we are coming out on the other side of this a little battered but much better for the experience.

Interview With Rick DeLauter, An American Hero
You can follow Rick on Facebook
Rick DeLauter has dedicated the past 43 years of his life to serving his country, the United States Of America. His grandfather served in World War 1. His father and uncles served in World War II. And his oldest son, like him, also served in the military. After 22 years in the Army, Rick retired at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and has continued serving in other roles related to the military to this day. He is a guy that does that high-speed classified work throughout the world that is necessary to keep our country and interests safe and free. I think he is a hero and a man that all good men can learn from and pattern themselves behind.
At sixty-five years of age, he is the father of five-year-old Benjamin, who has Down Syndrome. His perspective on being a dad and Benjamin's dad challenge me to be better with my own children. He is a Christian and a man that comes from a mixed-race and mixed-culture home and sees nothing but the positives of that experience.
I had intentions of this podcast being a 30-minute show. I should have known better. We cut it short at an hour, and it was one of the fastest moving hours of my life. I could listen to Rick for days. He has formed his opinions based on his own experiences gleaned from a lifetime spent dealing with realities around the globe that most of us could never even imagine. He is a man I respect, and it was an honor to have him on the show.

Life And Death And Living The Life You Were Meant To Live
Life. What is all of this for, and why and what is our purpose here? Inspired by the recent passing of a man we knew and respected deeply, we talk about our perspectives on what is essential, what isn't, and how important it is to evaluate where we are, where we are going, and make sure we are on the path to where we want to be. I close it out with a tip on how you can make sure that you are where you need to be.
As always, we hope this adds something positive to your life and helps in some way.

Working Out Our Differences
Ana and I are together 24/7 right now and like a lot of couples, it's not an easy thing to do. When things got contentious we had to make a choice to either let it escalate or sort out the issues and make our marriage a success. That realization was the catalyst for tremendous growth and change and what we learned became the foundation for how we now deal with all adversity. As with every podcast Ana and I do together, we hope this helps others that may not be doing so well with all the stress on their marriage right now.

We Are Adopting Our Former Foster Son's Mother
This has been a long time coming but we filed papers recently and today we got a court date for the adoption of Crystal, our former foster son's biological mother. When we told our family and friends they didn't understand why. We talk about why in this episode and it's for the most simple of reasons. We also talk about our business, how quarantine and Covid have impacted it, and what we are doing about it. Doing the right thing because it is the right thing to do is important and we do our best to live our life in a way that reflects those values. We aren't perfect by a long shot, but we have a perfect record of doing our best, learning from our mistakes, and making something good from what we have left to work with.
As always, I hope this podcast helps someone, inspires someone, and shows someone what is possible.

Life Got Crazy After Quarantine
Quarantine is over, and life is getting busier again. We didn't adjust very well initially, but a few weeks into this, we figured out that we had to figure it out and find a better way. We solved some issues by becoming more efficient, but the most significant improvements came when we changed how we thought about and approached our days, and the things and people in it.
Today, we are busier than ever before, but happier, more productive, and our family is stronger, happier, and healthier. This episode, we talk about how we did it.

Surviving Change, Stress, And A World Gone Crazy
Change is a thing few people enjoy or suffer well. Thus far, 2020 has been about nothing but change, fear, loss, and instability, and it's been hard on everyone. Ana Tigre is back this week, and we talk about change, how each of us deals with it, and how we have managed some of the most challenging days. We don't have the answer to controlling change. But we do know what worked for us to keep our family strong, healthy, and improving every day despite all the change.
As always, we hope that the lessons we have learned will help others.

It Fell Apart But Did She Go Back To The Gang Life?
She was born into the gang life and lived it to its fullest for thirty years before being inspired to make a change. She did the bold thing, the thing she never imagined she could ever do. She earned her GED, and then later, her certification as a Phlebotomist and a Medical Assistant graduating with honors. But after graduation, the job prospects didn't come through, and then a global pandemic and quarantine hit, so any job was out of the question.
How many people would give up? How about an African-American woman that grew up in the gang life and knew nothing else until three years ago? Would she walk away from her dreams and return to her old life of crime and violence?
Crystal made a choice. She is working on her bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice.
She joins me on this podcast to talk about all of it. The thoughts and feelings and her darkest moments and why she won't be going back to the life she left. She is a remarkable woman that inspires me daily because she takes full responsibility for her life and choices. Because of that, she has the power to change whatever she wishes about herself.

Missy Posterli Re-Inventing Her Life After Quarantine
Missy Posterli is on the management team of one of the most famous nightclubs in Las Vegas, she is an exceptional model, and a mom. Her life was rock-solid until Covid-19 came along and extended quarantine has put her career on hold and in question. She was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio, a place decimated by the death of US Steel and frequented by mobsters and other social parasites yet it's a place she is proud to be from for the values and character It provided her. Most of all she learned to get back up, with a vengeance, when life knocks you down. Missy and I talk about Youngstown, growing up, and how she is spending her time on quarantine and what her next moves will be.

Five Things That Make Ana Happier
Marriage is a thing like getting a puppy or buying a boat. If you want it to make you happy and give you years of joy, it requires constant care and maintenance. We call it "work" when we talk about maintaining a marriage, but maybe a better approach, for something we wanted so badly at one point, would be to think of it as caring for, building, or even enjoying our marriage. A bad marriage can destroy lives. A well-maintained one can be a beacon of light to the world, and the generations that come after you, not to mention, be the most gratifying endeavor one could embark upon in life.
Ana and I spend a great deal of time caring for our marriage because number one, we promised we would when we took our vows and because so much happiness, security, love, and goodness pours into our lives when we do.
Love, because it is a gift, is best measured by the one receiving it than the one giving. So I regularly ask Ana if I am hitting the mark or, despite my good intentions, falling short. Only she knows if I am making her happy, and the only way for me to measure my efforts is by asking her.
We start this episode talking about coffee and some other odds and ends, and then I put her on the spot. I asked her to talk about five that I do that make her happy, or that would make her more pleased if I changed how I do them.

Greg Hasberry's Slow March Toward Death And Then Deliverance
Five years ago, Greg Hasberry, an otherwise healthy and vibrant young man, was slowly reaching the end of his life. His kidneys had failed, he had been on dialysis for some time, and his body was giving indications that it just wouldn't be able to keep functioning much longer. He is a single parent, and the only thing that kept him going on the toughest days was his daughter and wanting to be there for her.
Then one day, he got a call. It was a man that wanted to meet with him. In the middle of a local coffee shop, that man told Greg he wanted to be his kidney donor.
The memories are still vivid for Greg. In this podcast, he shares some of those thoughts, fears, and feelings during his slow walk toward impending death and then the kindness of a Christian man he barely knew that gave him his life back.

We Found A Better Way To Manage Our Kids
For more than two months now our kids have been glued to our sides every minute of the day and frankly, they get sick of us from time to time and become hard to handle. There are few places we can take them and few things they can do so our parenting skills have been tested to the limit. And almost every parent on the planet is going through some version of this.
For some this is not a small problem so for this podcast, we talk about some ideas that work for us, some concepts that may seem different but we are getting amazing results with them leading to a more harmonious home environment. As always, we hope this helps someone.

Keeping Everyone Happy During Quarantine
The walls are closing in; money is tight, you can't get a second to yourself, jobs and businesses are unsure or already lost, the news is all doom and gloom, and the world is angry and fed up. About then, your wife, or husband, or kids look at you the wrong way, and you feel like you are going to lose it. Domestic violence is on the rise, and so are bankruptcies, and soon the divorce rate and suicide rate statistics will be made public (when there is no political advantage to keeping them quiet), and they will be alarming. Getting along with the people in your house is the greatest challenge many of us face each day.
We are quarantined with four adults, four toddlers, two dogs, and Ana and me. Our business is suffering catastrophically. Our savings are gone. I am working as a security guard to keep food on the table for all of us. There isn't much left when the dust settles each payday. We have more than enough reason to be on edge, and we have been many times in the past three months.
But we have taken a step back and realized that what we do have is each other. And that this quarantine circus will come to an end, and we have plans to recover when it does. We also have our faith in God that we will all be healthy and fed and together. But we have to do the work. We have to solve the problem.
Ana and I talk about how we are doing that and the success we are having. Our home is full of love and happiness, and while quarantine is extremely difficult, I can proudly say that our children love it, and we are a much happier and closer family than ever before.
We hope that you find something valuable in this podcast, especially if you are struggling.

Four Is Even Better Than Three
Within a couple of hours of me posting our last podcast where I essentially said to Ana that I thought our family was complete and we were not going to have any more kids, we got a phone call about a little boy that needed a foster home. After we heard his story and his circumstances, it was an immediate yes from both Ana and me.
We tell the story and talk about why we know this is the right decision in this episode. And I finish the show by explaining why having four toddlers at 60 years old is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Imagine If You Could Go Anywhere And Do Anything, What Would You Do?
Time. We have plenty of it right now, and many people are spending theirs feeling afraid, frustrated, angry, and worried. Justifiably so, but it doesn't feel very good, and we do have the option to think about whatever we want. Dreaming, for instance, or planning for what you would do if you could do anything in the world. Daydreaming, in other words, and it's a very healthy and positive escape from the day to day challenge of quarantine. You might discover a forgotten passion, or you might realize that your dream is not so impossible after all and you start making plans for the life you always wanted. .
You have the time.

Talking About The Good Things
I think it's a safe bet to say we have all, even us optimists and otherwise positive types, had enough of this whole quarantine business. Each day the carnage grows consisting of lost businesses, lost jobs, lost fortunes, lost marriages, and lost lives. We can only control what we can control, so Ana and I take a break from the misery to talk about the positives that have come from this mess.

Emotion Or Logic During Times Of Stress?
This extended quarantine is really getting to some people, while others are doing better because of it. I saw a post from someone basically chewing everyone out that was posting positive and helpful messages about how they are dealing with it. It was an emotional response to the stress of quarantine and illogical, but is there a better way to deal with it?

Making Our Marriage Our First Priority Again
When Ana and I met I was a photographer and she was a professional athlete and model. We travelled the country together and every chance we got she modeled for me. We did what we wanted when we wanted and were glued at the hip and happy about it. We started raising kids three and a half years ago and that was the end of our marriage being a priority. Kids came first, then work to pay for kids and Ana and I lived in the same house and loved each other, but rarely got time together to do the things that were important to us. One of the many positives of being quarantined is that we have more time than we had before and we decided to spend it on each other. Since then our marriage has taken a very strong upswing and realizing how important that time is to a happy and successful family, we made a promise to always invest time in each other and doing things together that we love to do.

Three Things We Love And Don't Love About Covid-19 Quarantine
We can't control the pandemic or how people respond to it but there is so much we can control and Ana and I are making the best possible use of this time to come out ahead once the dust settles. We didn't plan this, but we talk about our top three things we love and don't love about this entire odyssey.
