This is the first of a series of special Gophers Only open discussions with former Gopher basketball players sharing their collective experiences and perspectives. While having the uncomfortable conversations needed to be had about the social injustices towards black people in America. In order to make any strides forward we must continue to come together and have these crucial conversations to move the needle on these issues and seek to understand what others go through.

Kendal and Gopher Legend Damian Johnson catch up on a big day in Gopher Recruiting. They cover topics such as: Recruiting news, in-state recruiting, the assistant coaching vacancy, and a way too early preview of next season. 

On Tuesday February 25th the Minnesota Lynx announced the signing of Minnesota Gopher basketball legend Rachel Banham. Kendal was able to catch up with Rachel a few hours after making it official and signing to become the newest member of the Minnesota Lynx. The homecoming serves as that of extreme excitement for Rachel, her friends, family and Minnesota basketball fans all over. They chat about the process, what it's like to be back home, life in the WNBA and much more.

Andre Hollins joins Kendal Shell on the podcast and they catch up on what Dre is doing now. They talk about this current Gophers team, the state of college sports, and some of the big differences in being a Floor General for both Tubby Smith and Richard Pitino.

Kendal welcomes first-timer and Gopher Great Damian Johnson on the Gophers Only Pod alongside Trevor Mbakwe who makes his 2nd appearance. In this episode the trio shares early observations from this young Gophers basketball team as well as some predictions for the season and raise a few comparisons to last year's team.
