The Naked Man Podcast Pilot

The Naked Man Podcast Pilot

Spotted! The pilot episode for Andy Greene’s new series, The Naked Man Podcast. Andy begins his next conversational journey with father, husband, writer and friend, Kyle Dickinson (@kmdickinson). We open the door to explore the confusing and overwhelming issues surrounding Identity. We begin where our friendship began, in Munich, Germany on a lonely Christmas, and from there, travel across the clarifying and terrifying landscapes wrought by the various identities we share and don't share. Kyle and I investigate the BS "Nice Guy" mythos we inhabited in our adolescence, our traumatic origins as "Drawers," and why we can't look away from the Big Bad Wolf. We introduce the Wolf/Dog concept with a hat tip to Derek DelGaudio's In & Of Itself (streaming on Hulu). We read poems about parenthood, struggle with our masculinity, with being the nerd or the chubby kid on the baseball team. We try to be better together.

Join the Naked Man community @nakedmanpod on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Call our Google Voice line at 747-231-7120 with any thoughts and feelings. Please rate, subscribe and tell your friends. XOXO.

The Age of Adaline

The Age of Adaline

In the final Season of Serena... Spotted, Andy and Aaron arguing for the last time, about Blake Lively in The Age of Adaline. This week A+A get back to basics. Is this Blake's best performance? Is Age of Adaline just a Lifetime movie with A-Listers? Is Adaline a Manic Pixie Femme Fatale? Is this the last of good Harrison Ford? Is movie love just a fantasy? Are we only to believe in this romance because of "the look"? Is Ellis the right guy for Adaline? Is Adaline finally ready to let go? Is this the most San Francisco movie? Do people always get the same breed of dog? Can you like a romance movie if you hate the romance? Is this the last of the Gossip Guys? Will A+A come back for the next generation of the UES?

Time will tell. xoxo.

Would you rather watch a kid spy movie or 12 yr old slice of life movie? Is Harriet The Spy just like Lady Bird? Is marriage just a power struggle? Is Dan Humphrey the ultimate genius? This week A+A welcome co-host of Dawson Black, Keith Dorsey (@launchpad1412) to answer the ultimate questions. Is it concerning that Aaron considers this a "popcorn film"? Where do we rank Savages in Oliver Stone films? Does Oliver Stone have anything to say anymore? Was Blake Lively too tan? Can you be a drug dealer and be a good person? Where do we rank Gossip Girl in Teen Dramas? Do we need John Travolta? Is this a prequel to The Shallows? Do all Blake Lively movies connect? Can Aaron win the Stoner Throne of The Internet? Is it bad to want a message in a bad movie? Is this the most guy movie we have watched on the podcast?

All This and more. Until next week. xoxo.

A Gossip Guys Thanksgiving Special

A Gossip Guys Thanksgiving Special

Spotted, Andy and Aaron coming together (virtually) at the dinner table for A Gossip Guys Thanksgiving Special! That's right, for this difficult holiday season, A+A rewatch all five classic Gossip Girl Thanksgiving episodes and RANK THEM! Aaron's #2 will shock you! Along our journey, we get an accurate and illuminating slice of the Gossip Girl pie: how the parents ruin the children, and how these rich kids can't help but become their awful rich parents. A+A witness The Decline of Rufus, The Rise of Daniel, and track Serena's self-esteem. Which family's Thanksgiving would you most want to go to? Are Dan and Rufus the Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader of Brooklyn? Who is the worst of the worst love interests (Sage, Steven, Tripp, Aaron Rose)? Should everybody be in the Ostroff center for the revival? Who do we want on our pickup football team? Can we stop blaming mothers for divorce already? Why does anyone on the UES even like Thanksgiving at this point? Is Nate a puppy that everyone loves to abuse? Will Blair shut up and go to Paris already? Why isn't Chuck treated like an alcoholic? What happened to TV we could learn from? Are we able to prevent ourselves from becoming our parents? The hungry duo answer all these questions and so much more-- but if you want more discussion of these classic episodes, check out our original recaps. It's time for new traditions, and there's a lot of meat on this turkey. Have a happy and safe holiday everyone. XOXO.

Green Lantern

Green Lantern

Spotted, Andy and Aaron surviving Green Lantern, the latest installment of Seasons of Serena. If you dare follow along, Green Lantern's streaming on HBO Max. This week, A+A follow up their GL live-tweeting performance by wondering what went wrong with this dumpster fire of a blockbuster moving starring Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. Could this movie have been saved? Did they use CGI on Blake Lively's hair/face? Did they use CGI on everything? Is there someone to blame? Can Andy find meaning in this movie? How can a movie be boring and confusing at the same time? Was this the rock bottom for everyone involved? Will Ryan and Blake's kids force their parents to watch this movie when they're being naughty? All these answers and this inspirational nugget: If Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds can find love in this disaster, it gives us hope for the future. XOXO.

XOXO

My Dinner with Andre

My Dinner with Andre

Spotted, Andy and Aaron arguing over My Dinner with Andre in Part 2 of their Where's Wallace? series. To follow along, stream My Dinner with Andre on HBO Max or Criterion Channel. This week, Yandruj (Andy) and Aaron follow the faun into the forest and get philosophical over the certified classic Wallace Shawn-Andre Gregory film, while throwing in a random reading from The Little Prince. What do you order at dinner with Andre? What are our dream classes? Do we have trouble living in our art or our life? Why does Andy ask so many questions? Can Andy and Aaron stay in California? How does one turn all these questions and all this talk into action? Will Andy and Aaron ever be completely honest and direct with each other? Why does Aaron want to hit rock bottom? How annoying can Andy be? The answers to all these questions await any brave listener, along with an Aaron hosted pit stop in the Pop Culture Corner with Fox's Filthy Rich and Kim Cattrall's Southern Lily Van der Woodsen. Sponsored by Anchor.fm and Aaron's new Samsung 4K TV. Next week: we finish season 2 of Amazon Studios' The Boys and finally reach the end of Chaceing Summer. XOXO.

Chaceing Summer - Nighthawks

This week, A+A bring in writer and podcaster Elliot Campos (@elliotscampos) to discuss not only one Nighthawks but two, as we discover the 1981 film starring Sylvester Stallone also titled Nighthawks, streaming on Showtime and the Stallone Stable debuts in the Pop Culture Corner.  Which Nighthawks film is better? Do we believe Chace as a writer? Is this the film we want from Chace? Will Chace make better choices? Are these the last of Chace's chances? Is The Boys the beginning of Chace's changes? What age do you stop ordering vodka soda? Do you need to live life to write about it? Can we choose are own opening sequences? How many more parts of Chace are left? The Boys Season 2 - Part 1

In Part IV of Chaceing Summer: Spotted, in the Gossip Guys Max Season 2 Premiere, Andy and Aaron arguing over the first four episodes of The Boys Season 2, now streaming on Amazon Prime. This week A+A listen to their gills and start accepting who they are, it's a process. Are we shipping Hughie and Starlight? Can The Deep come back? Would the world be a better place if everyone had a little Pacey in them? What's the science behind it? Would you take the Compound P (Compound Pacey)? Can The Church of The Collective help? How long do you stay inside the whale? How long do you keep the whale guts on you? What is your top 3 candies? Does your candy choice tell you which serial killer you are? Will the girls get it done? Are we in this together? Is our guard down enough? How do we know when we've gone too far? Who is your canary? Next: the Guys Chace more Summer w/ "Nighthawks" now streaming on Showtime. XOXO

The Boys Season 1

The Boys Season 1

In Part III of Chaceing Summer: Spotted in the Gossip Guys Max Season 1 finale, Andy and Aaron arguing over The Boys Season 1, now streaming on Amazon Prime. This week, A+A get deep with The Deep. Birdwatching or Alcoholism? Is everything better with Whiskey? Do you take a flask on your walks? Do The Boys finally weaponize Chace's charm? Will we see Chace in a Turner and Hooch reboot? Is Chace the next animal whisperer? Is Chace moving up in Gossip Girl Fantasy? Are Blake and Penn still in the lead? Is this Chace's finest role to date? Is The Deep in a rebirth? Is there still more Summer to Chace? Find out next week in the Gossip Guys Max Season 2 Premiere, when we watch The Boys Season 2, now streaming on Amazon Prime. Chaceing Summer - Charlie Says

Chaceing Summer - Charlie Says

In Part II of Chaceing Summer: Spotted, Andy and Aaron arguing over the Chace Crawford film “Charlie Says,” a Charles Manson movie now streaming on Showtime. (Use a 7-Day Free Trial, we won’t tell.) No, Chace Crawford doesn’t play Charlie Manson. Or Tex Winter, the creator of Phil Jackson’s triangle offense. But he does play Tex Watson, one of the gruesome killers in the infamous Tate-LaBianca murders. This week, A+A wonder why Chace always disappears. Where does Chace go? Can we find meaning in Chaceing Summer? Do we believe Matt Smith as Charles Mansion? Are we back in 1969 now? How bad do we feel for the Manson girls? Are we able to see beyond black and white? Does Chace have any range? Is Chace a young Tom Hanks without range? Will The Boys be the Awakening for Chace Crawford?  Is Charles Manson the Joker? Is Nate turning into Rufus? Does Chace need to return to the Upper East Side? Are we career counselors? Is that our next podcast? What are your favorite songs on The White Album? Have you read The White Album by Joan Didion? If Andy gets one person to read Joan Didion’s The White Album book, this episode will have been worth it. Is this the All is Lost moment in Chaceing Summer? Find out next week when we watch season 1 of The Boys, streaming on Amazon Prime. XOXO.

Chaceing Summer - Eloise

Chaceing Summer - Eloise

Spotted, Andy and Aaron arguing over the Chace Crawford film Eloise, now streaming on Amazon Prime. This week for Part 1 of our Chace Crawford-themed Chaceing Summer event, A+A are joined by Sweet Valley Diaries host Marissa Flaxbart (@flaxbart, @sweetvalley) to help really dig into this meaty, juicy, endlessly confusing horror movie. What is this movie? What is it trying to say? What actually happened? Is this a time travel movie? Are there 30 minutes missing? The trio spent an hour talking about it, and didn't come any closer to understanding it. Would you give Chace The Last Word? What makes Chace different as an actor? Is this Chace's fault (no)? Would you buy a haunted asylum for $1? Is there a good movie in Eloise? Is there at least a better title? Who do they rank as the best "Chris" in the Chris Wars featuring Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pine and Chris Pratt? (Andy's answer will piss you off) What are our biggest fears? One of them is for Chace Crawford to actually listen to this episode. The rest of the answers (and more!) can be contained in Part 1 of "Chaceing Summer." Next week: Chace Crawford as Tex Watson in the Charles Manson film, "Charlie Says" (on Showtime). Listen to Marissa's awesome podcast Sweet Valley Diaries in the meantime. XOXO.

All I See Is You

All I See Is You

Spotted, Andy and Aaron arguing over the Blake Lively film All I See Is You, now streaming on Amazon Prime. This week, we see Blake as a brunette, and Blake doesn't see how terrible her relationship is until she regains her sight (and realizes she's Blake Lively). It doesn't take much vision to see how this movie doesn't work. But there's a kernel of a good movie here, and a kernel of truth -- which Andy and Aaron explore. A+A discuss codependent relationships, waking up to the flaws in your relationship, and how that's playing out in households across the world right now. Andy steers the conversation to BLM, and how the metaphor in All I See Is You can be extended to our society finally SEEING the injustice in this country. Can we have a Gossip Girl band? Can we get an intern? Are we sure about Marc Forster? How can we help Lively's career? What's missing? What's happening with Andy's wedding? All this and more. Let's make some mistakes and learn from them. XOXO.

Do Over

Do Over

Spotted, Andy and Aaron coming together for Penn Badgley's coming-of-age series Do Over. This week, the duo discuss the one season time travel high school teen drama on WB, Do Over.

Given the way the world is, it's hard not to dream about doing this whole America thing over, with equality and togetherness as our guiding light this time around. But we know we can't go back -- we can only go forward, holding each other's hands.

Why didn't this show connect with people in 2002? How great was Penn at 14 years old? Was this Penn's real hair? How would the creators do this over? How would we do it over? Was Do Over ahead of its time? Why isn't Aaron ready for Do Over today? At one point should kids stop fighting for their parents to stay together and wish for a divorce? Was this show just one long coma dream? Or was this purgatory? Is there such a thing as free will? How much of ourselves can we change? Does Joel Larson become Joe Goldberg in You? Without the benefit of time travel, how can we rediscover our childhood self? A+A attempt to answer all these questions and more.

You can join the Do Over fan club by purchasing the DVD on HardtoFindTV.com. If you Tweet at us, we'll consider shipping you our copy. XOXO.

The Orville

The Orville

Spotted, Andy and Aaron arguing over season 2, episode 11 of The Orville. This week, A+A travel to space, open a time capsule and revel in the best Leighton Meester performance we've ever seen for a special Vanessa-Blair crossover episode. Despite our trepidation, Seth MacFarlane unlocked the best way to utilize Leighton in a post-GG world. We continue to track Meester's musical thru-line and fall in love with her all over again. What can we learn about Leighton's lost dream of singing? How unhealthy is VR? What happens when the world can create simulations? How close are we to this future? How can we prevent the machines from taking over? Is this the most authentic Meester performance? What inspired MacFarlane to bring her to this show? How different would the world be if Andy had gotten to work on The Orville? How do we learn to create and let it go? Answers to these questions and more this week. XOXO. Stay safe.

May 11, 202036:51
Life Partners

Life Partners

Spotted, Andy and Aaron arguing over what may be Leighton Meester's best movie: Life Partners. For perhaps the first time, Andy has already seen it, and Aaron is the newbie for this painfully awkward and realistic rom-com. This week, Andy pays Aaron a compliment. They also ask: Do we have friends like these? Are we on the right track in life? What did Andy have in common with Adam Brody? Do we feel like we need to do better than our friends? Are we with our life partners? Is this a waste of Aaron's boy Mark Feuerstein? What's your Jack in the Box order? Drive Thru's Hella Burger or Jack in the Box? All this and much more. XOXO.

May 03, 202042:24
Drive-Thru

Drive-Thru

Spotted, Andy and Aaron argue over the Leighton Meester and Penn Badgley CLASSIC film "Drive-Thru." They've done it. They've finally found the perfect film, this horror-comedy disaster streaming on Amazon Prime. It doesn't get more MAX than this greasy piece. Is there a more offensive beginning to a movie? What did we learn about the Gossip Girl origin story with this movie? Did Penn and Leighton know each other BEFORE their CW audition? Were they friends? Enemies? Lovers? Who would be the archetypal Final Girl in the Upper East Side? Who would be the first to die from the Gossip Girl cast in a slasher movie? Why haven't Taylor Momsen, Penn Badgley and Leighton Meester started a band? What did we learn about the age of consent laws in California? Who did we want to be the killer behind the Horny the Clown mask? Would we buy Hella Burger merch if it existed with our stimulus check? Why did Andy love this movie and Aaron hate it? What movie did Melora Hardin think she was in? How did they get Morgan Spurlock in this? Is it "impossible to do anything cool in SoCal"? Aaron and Andy can't make their own movie, but they can promote Aaron's next podcast venture: Meal and a Movie with Aaron, and our next Penn Badgley MAX installment, The Do Over (available on Hard to Find TV.com). And remember: Fast food kills, fuckers. XOXO.

A Simple Favor

A Simple Favor

Spotted, Andy and Aaron falling in love with Paul Feig's batshit crazy film "A Simple Favor," starring Our Lady of Perpetual Gossip, Blake Lively, and the hilariously neurotic Anna Kendrick. This week, their best quips were delivered online @GossipGuysPod & @thewursst during a live-tweet performance (#ASimpleFavor), but A+A still manage to gush about the BEST Blake Lively movie since Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and the BEST Blake Lively performance ever, while finally admitting that all men are patsies.  XOXO.

Spotted, a quarantined Andy and Aaron arguing over Leighton Meester's "The Roommate," now streaming on Crackle. This week, A+A celebrate an "Easy A" crossover and Andy ruins another movie for Aaron. How stupid is Minka Kelly’s character? How ugly is her hat? When do you move out of the apartment? Should we be doing a Billy Zane podcast? Does Minka Kelly work after high school? Why is Penn Badgley more effective as a killer than Leighton? Who would you want to room with from Gossip Girl? Whose name would you tattoo on your chest? Who named Cam Gigandet's band and can we arrest them? Why does Aaron own this movie on blu-ray? Is the quarantine getting to Andy? Answers to these questions and oh so much more. Be nice to your roommates, everyone. Brought to you (unofficially) by Green Chef. Stay home, stay safe, add us on Frienderz. XOXO: we consider you all our roommates. RIP Cuddles.

Country Strong

Country Strong

Spotted, Andy and Aaron arguing over Leighton Meester's musical career with Country Strong (on Netflix!) and her pop country album Heartstrings (on Spotify!). This week, A+A come closer to uncovering the true Leighton Meester while under quarantine. Are we going to be able to come home from this? Should we want to? Maybe we all need more time in rehab like Kelly Canter. Can love and fame exist at the same time? Have we actually even listened to any Meester Music yet? Why Gwyneth Paltrow? Why does Andy dislike Tim McGraw? Can we free Garrett Hedlund? Can Leighton and Adam Brody start their own folk band? Are Aaron and Andy bonding over this ordeal? How can we help? If love is the most important thing, why can't we resist fame? All this and more. XOXO.

Monte Carlo

Spotted, Andy and Aaron socially distance themselves while coming together with the Sisterhood of Traveling to France for "Monte Carlo." Sign up for your 7-day free trial for Cinemax and join us and Leighton Meester in Monaco for some good old-fashioned 2011 escapism that we need right now. This week, A+A discuss Aaron's "go bags," Andy's addiction/anxiety to learning, their favorite trips, the overwhelming appeal of travel right now when we can't leave the house, revisiting the tragedy of Cory Monteith, the Gossip Girl connections, and how nice it is to see pure joy on Leighton Meester's face. It was also nice talking to a friend, to live a fairy tale, and be with you all, if only for a moment. Let's be alone together. Stay safe, be smart, be healthy. XOXO.

Spotted, this week Aaron and Andy argue over Leighton Meester's best showing since Gossip Girl, ABC's Single Parents. Welcomed by our hero and friend Christine Laskodi of The Shipping Room Podcast and Long Live the Hart podcast, the trio discuss what makes Single Parents so good and reliable (the ensemble!), why Leighton Meester's built for comedy, the overwhelming appeal of Will and Angie, the fantasy of Poppy and Douglas, why everybody loves Brad Garrett, why these are the best child actors on TV, and our never-ending crushes on Adam Brody. MOTHXR and East of Eden

MOTHXR and East of Eden

Spotted, Andy and Aaron arguing over Penn Badgley's artistic side, with his comedic role in the "East of Eden" short film and his electro-pop band MOTHXR. Is East of Eden the beginning of weaponizing good guy Penn for evil? Is East of Eden peak Badgley hair? Do Andy and Aaron compete with their siblings for their father's approval and love? How good is MOTHXR? Do we finally know where the name MOTHXR comes from? What are our favorite songs? Why did it take us so long to listen to Penn's art? How sharp is the Penn? How much more ink is in Penn? How angry will the other MOTHXR bandmates be when they listen and realize we don't mention them by name? The answers to these questions and more this week. XOXO.

This week in a new installment of the "Seasons of Serena," A+A marvel over Lively's performance and wish her better movies to showcase her talents in the future. Is this her best performance ever? But why doesn't the movie work? What's Jude Law's workout regimen? Can we get breathing coaches? Would anyone watch Andy's Rewrite version? What's next for Blake Lively? All this and more, as we travel with Lively through London, Scotland, Spain and Tangier. XOXO.

John Tucker Must Die and Easy A

John Tucker Must Die and Easy A

Spotted, Andy and Aaron arguing over season one, episode two of Gossip Guys Max, where we examine Penn Badgely's "good guy" phase in "John Tucker Must Die" and "Easy A," and how it led to his breakout performance in YOU. How much of our lives are performance? How many free trials have you screwed up? Is Easy A feminist? Is Easy A racist? Does Andy somehow like John Tucker Must Die more than Easy A? How great is Emma Stone? Which movie had the better music? What do Aaron and Andy think of The Irishman? Can John Tucker Must Die's sexist scenes be fixed? Can high school be improved? We answer these questions, and more, while revealing Andy's own Easy A high school rumors. This week's moral: we all need people who listen to us; we need true friends. Don't spend your life on the endless highway in a car with people you don't love. XOXO.

Episode 119 – The Revengers

Spotted, Andy and Aaron arguing over the PENULTIMATE episode of Gossip Girl, entitled "The Revengers." We're circling the wagons to prepare for the end in the "Empire Strikes Back" middle installment of the three-part finish line. We eulogize (AGAIN/FINALLY) Bart Bass, cast the characters as Avengers, rap about Nate and The Captain, check in with our long lost Fantasy teams, and play our last round of "Never Have I Ever." Sniff. It's emotional stuff. We also bring back one of the central arguments of the show: Do people really change? But wait, there's more. Do you have to cross the line to know where the line is? Does a moral compass (Rufus) that no one listens to really exist? What's next for Aaron and Andy? We seek answers to these questions, and so much more. This week, the "Charade" is coming to an end. Or has it just begun? XOXO. Brought to you by TV Time.

Is Serena an object in the game or running it? Where do Aaron's shipping allegiances lie? Is Dan doing all this for the life or for the girl? Are we witnessing almost good writing? Can Rufus be ruined AGAIN? Where do YOU hide your oil deals? The Congo or The Roommate? Why are you hiding, Danielle Steel? Is Andy the only one who remembers Bex? Brooklyn or the UES? Should Dorota have been Gossip Girl? When did she learn the truth? How many cotillions is too many (and too sad)? Who's her favorite minion? And yes, there's a round of never have I ever with Zuzanna (@ZuzannaWanda), and a whole lot more. This episode is brought to you by TV Time. XOXO.

Is there a better term than horse show? Is Andy the only one left who wants to go camping? Aaron prefers a mansion in the woods. They both prefer mothers not sleeping with their daughter's boyfriends. All this and more, brought to you by TV Time. XOXO.

Meanwhile, Andy's Quotes goes out to sea with a passage from "Life of Pi." After a promising enough start to season 6, this week we're back off the rails. That was meant to refer to the show, but can probably be applied to the podcast as well. Brought to you by TV Time. XOXO.
