Throughout my life
I have understood certain sentimentalismos in the wrong way. Where it is better and more convenient to keep quiet than to express (emotions).
Where I keep quiet
I find myself within the maelstrom of melancholy
In my case, it is recurrent,
A constant that is always with me. Sometimes triggered by episodes of repeated emotional repression.
Looking back in time
In fact, this ability to recall certain memories, recollections or sensations has a name; and it is melancholy.
Ghost Train
Welcome to the first episode of the "Got a Minute" podcast. The podcast will focus on short (1-2 minute) stories of folk tales, trivia, weird history, and more. It's an audio nibble to snack on when you get a minute!
This episode features the story, "Ghost Train". I grew up in a tiny town in Mississippi that had a highway, railroad track, combination grocery store/gas station/auto repair shop, a cotton gin, and a couple of churches. I'd listen to the trains going by at night and, well, decide for yourself what I might have heard.
