Welcome to my Anchor channel. You'll find nothing serious here. I talk about tabletop RPG gaming with a focus on the older editions and retro clones. Some folks call it the OSR, I just call it gaming. If you like rolling weird dice, talking in weird voices and just being weird, pull up a chair and stay a while.
With all the negative thing in gaming these days I doubt the 10 year-old me would have considered joining tabletop rpgs. There was a social cost back in the day. But it was more of outsider who attacked us. Who didn't know anything about what we did. Today, we eat ourselves from the inside. Like a cancer. Bombarded by different groups on how they think things should be. 10 year-old me would have given tabletop rpgs a hard pass.

Super happy with the haul and looking forward to getting my nose between the pages.
Hey folks, thanks for checking out my latest episode. I invite you into the Manor on a Sunday afternoon as I come up with ideas on how to finish an adventure. This time around it's for my adventure called Kobold Invasion. I sit and talk with out about my ideas, what tools I'm using, and the process I go through to finish off an adventure. Pull up a chair, grab something to drink, and enjoy the adventure.
I talk with Joe the Lawyer and Matt Jackson after a marathon gaming session that ending the year-long campaign. We go over what worked and what didn't. It was a fun time and I appreciated the guys who stuck through it.

This is the first episode of a series, I hope, of shelf delves, where I scour my gaming shelves and feature a few selected tomes. This first time out I break out my 2nd edition GURPS boxset with a treasure trove of ancient documents. Including my first GURPS character sheet from 1986. Then I break the seal on the Dungeon Fantasy boxset and explore its innards. What's a boy to do late on a Friday night, but crack open some good gaming books.
A warning, I didn't notice the harsh sound levels until after I finished. I have attempted to sand off as much of the harshness as I could.
I talk about a lot of stuff in this one. We've got voice mails, we've got Joe's brother giving him shit, a new topic for the Adventure Design Sessions, the man who created the Jackson will be joining me, Mr. Matt Jackson himself, Kickstarters, unboxings, both books and gaming stuff, my blog, a giveaway, and finally my floundering Patreon. Whew. That's a lot. Now I need to eat.

I order gaming stuff from Noble Knight Games, EBay, and Amazon. They all came in today. So instead of having me do one of my normal unboxings I had Ivy assist me with the unboxing and add her commentary.
My package with my two d and d essentials box sets said they were delivered two days ago but the post office can't find them. Then I get a shitty shirt from China. Wasn't supposed to be from there. Probably toss it because it's horrible made.
It starts on one day. Ends on another. Call ins about post apocalyptic games and comment on my Stinky Game Session. Then is end with a recap of Monday's game and considering how to tweak the cleric to make him a bit more useful.
I just finished up my 15th NPC card, Gish. He's a froggy dude. It's the first one finished for my April Patreon. Then I give sneak peeks into my next adventure, The Solemn Dark. But that title will change. Oh, and I hit 90 patrons! Thanks to my new patrons. Jon Mayo, Richard Fraiser, a reupped Hobbs & Friends, and James Richards.

There are creatures, groups and places that have an influence with the world around them. I talk about mini boss monsters that hold sway over small territories and they could intersect with other mini boss monsters. Then taking these influences and add them to your campaign world.

I completed my 80th Micro-Adventure, Macceum Sewer. I go through each of the thirteen room and share ho I created them and ways I may GM a situation.
I am planning on moving Gothridge Manor in 2019. Not sure yet, but looking at potential property. Some how I digress into details of my Patreon and all the fantastic people I back there and a a view backstage of how much is made and how much goes out. Lastly, a unneeded reminder to enjoy the holidays. We have a finite number of them.
I recently purchased two Anchorcasters products. Larry Hamilton's, Locks, Vaults, and Hiding Places. And Howard Belieff's, A Bakers Denizen. Both use the PWYW option. I wanted to share my experience this pricing strategy.

I like to develop character background using the players ideas and then giving them information specific to the character. Run one or two individual sessions to grow the character into the campaign world.
I'm developing a hexcrawl campaign using Komor Forest, my setting I've used for the past year when writing my Micro-Adventures and Micro-Locations. I put a poll into my G+ feed to see what folks would prefer, a podcast or video.
