3D Digital Fashion Design : Interview with Mi-Mu, 3D Design Brand!
This week I welcomed my first ever guest speaker onto the podcast! Creator of 3D Design brand Mi-Mu and fashion designer, Fiona Michell! Fiona creates fashion designs with a glossy, detailed and futuristic aesthetic. The name ‘Mi-Mu’ comes from Fiona’s Welsh and Scottish heritage, celebrating generations of tailors and seamstresses! Fiona began her 3D journey whilst studying at the Amsterdam Institute of Fashion in 2017. She later received her honours degree in Fashion, and currently pursuing a MSc in Digital Media Design. Over the last four years Fiona has worked in various fashion design roles in three different countries!
What Fiona enjoys most about the 3D world, is being able to explore the limitless boundaries of creativity. She states “Anything that we can dream up - can be translated into 3D. Not to mention, the innovation and science behind 3D technology today means you can start with a basic pattern block, and end up with a one-of-a-kind beautiful piece of art.”
Fiona provides valuable insights on her 3D design journey!
