I was just sitting in the garage the other day after doing some yard work listening to the birds chirping in the spring sun, and I was thinking about how we arrived where we are today politically in the USA. This is an area where I have spent the better part of my life in constant study, so I have a little insight on the subject, even if most of what I have to say is only my opinion.

The whole subject is quite intriguing to me so I thought I would share my thoughts in hopes I might start the conversation.

My guest in this episode is Aaron Owens of Tejas Hemp. Aaron is a native of West Texas, a part of the world where a person's word is gold.  His first passion and love has always been ranching, with Cannabis coming in as a close second.

Serving as VP of Sales for Dutch Pro liquid fertilizers gave him the opportunity to develop his extensive network within the hemp industry.  A hemp pioneer in Texas, he started working with extractions and custom formulations in 2015, and then formally organized his company, Tejas Hemp, in early 2017.  As word of his product quality spread, demand sky rocketed, and the business expanded rapidly. In 2020, he successfully produced their first successful hemp crop on two acres at his farm in Dripping Springs, TX.

Today, Aaron is in charge of corporate strategy and business development; and focuses heavily on the implementation of the Industrial Hemp industry in Texas. His goals are to help Texas farmers make Texas Hemp business a leader in the global Hemp economy.

Lets meet Aaron and hear his story.

After many years of surgeries, physical therapies and multiple pharmaceuticals, she decided to give cannabis a try along with diet and more, and she is now regaining her life.

Lets meet Gina and hear her awe inspiring story.

Nikki Lawley Joins Gramps to Tell Her Story How Cannabis Saved Her Life From the lasting Effects of a Traumatic Brain Injury

Nikki Lawley Joins Gramps to Tell Her Story How Cannabis Saved Her Life From the lasting Effects of a Traumatic Brain Injury

My guest in this episode is someone whom I met online through my advocacy for cannabis.

Nikki Lawley was an active pediatric nurse at 49 when she suffered a Traumatic Brain
Injury. When conventional treatments failed her she had become a recluse living in
pain and misery. Like a miracle, Cannabis changed all that.

Nikki has become outspoken on the benefits of cannabis for head injuries. She’s a
member of online support groups for individuals that have suffered head injuries such
as Brain Tumors, TBIs, concussions, and Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE),
the controversial neurodegenerative disease that is caused by repeated head injuries
that can occur in sports like football, boxing, and other combat and high impact sports.
CTE was discovered in 2005 when Pittsburgh researchers examined brain tissue from
deceased NFL players. Nikki now supports and consults with organizations that are
conducting studies with cannabinoids for the treatment of symptoms associated with

CTE and other head injuries.
A warm soul, Nikki is passionate and infinitely interested in the benefits of cannabis,
many of which are still being researched. She is determined to help patients find
access to medical cannabis products that provide them relief, in the hopes that no one
has to suffer what she has.

Let’s meet Nikki and hear her story in her own words.

Gramps Gets Candid with Joe Jaworski - Candidate for Texas Attorney General

Joe Jaworski is a third generation Texas trial attorney and the former Mayor of Galveston, TX. Joe earned his bachelor's degree from North Carolina's Davidson College and his law degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
Joe owns and operates his own law firm in Galveston and 2021 marks his 13th year in practice.
Joe believes that “No one–absolutely no one–is above the law.” This is why Joe is running for Texas Attorney General.

In Texas, too many of our public officials think they are above the law.  The tearing down of our institutions has led us to lose faith in our democracy.  We need someone who can restore integrity to public service in Texas.  Someone who chooses right over wrong. Someone who will use our legal system to fight for fairness and justice.

What Motivates Gramps To Do What He Does

What Motivates Gramps To Do What He Does

In tonight's episode I'll give you a little insight as to why I started all of this.

What gives me motivation is the loss of my 23 yr old son, William, a little over 5 years ago. He refused to break the law to try cannabis for treatment  for his epilepsy when multiple medications only made his condition worse. It was after his death that I truly began to understand the reality behind medical cannabis.
I also outline my previous cannabis use and how that was never a factor in whether or not I was successful in life.
I can't help but point out some of the most basic research that is readily available, but do not begin to scratch the surface of that reality. That is why I have produced this podcast where we I will interview the experts.
The entire point is to get more people like you and I involved. To educate, agitate, and motivate millions! The more that get involved and make their voices heard, the better the chance to get the change that we seek. The end to the drug war and the end to the prohibition of a plant which has likely cause the needless suffering and loss of millions and millions of people.

Gramps Place - Medical Cannabis-Is The Research Only Anecdotal?

Gramps Place - Medical Cannabis-Is The Research Only Anecdotal?

This podcast will hopefully help you decide for yourself whether or not we have enough scientific and medical research that is more than 'anecdotal evidence,' and that we need to move forward with clinical studies and trials in many areas and for many conditions.

Listen as Gramps outlines several studies and trials that have already been completed. He interviews doctors, researchers and patients who all weigh in on the subject of medical cannabis, the research, and the catch 22 that is holding us up.

We have one obstacle. The obstacle is the fact what we call 'anecdotal evidence' in regard to cannabis is the exact same type of evidence that pharmaceutical companies have when they apply for permission for clinical trials for a product that they have developed. What keeps us from getting the trials for cannabis is the schedule 1 status. It's a catch 22 that needs to go away!
