Gender Ideology and Its Victims with Brandon Showalter

Gender Ideology and Its Victims with Brandon Showalter

Journalist Brandon Showalter joins me to discuss gender ideology and its victims. Brandon M. Showalter is a journalist and podcaster with The Christian Post who has reported extensively on topics of theological interest in the Church; bioethics issues such as euthanasia, assisted suicide, artificial reproductive technology, and surrogacy; and the developments of the "gender identity" movement and transgender ideology. He has appeared in several documentaries on that issue, including the Tucker Carlson Originals "Transgressive: The Cult of Confusion" and "Dead Name" by Broken Hearted Films, which profiles three families fractured by gender ideology. He was first inspired to pursue a career in writing and journalism while mopping floors and scrubbing toilets as a church custodian in April 2015. He earned a Bachelor's degree in International Studies and Spanish from Bridgewater College of Virginia in 2007, a Master of Arts in Human Rights from The Catholic University of America in 2022, and is a fellow of the John Jay Institute for Faith, Society, & Law. His favorite thing to do in life is to sing. America's Cultural Revolution with Christopher Rufo

America's Cultural Revolution with Christopher Rufo

In this episode, I speak with Christopher Rufo about his new book, America's Cultural Revolution: How The Radical Left Conquered Everything.

For decades, left-wing radicals patiently built a revolution in the shadows. Then suddenly, after the death of George Floyd, their ideas exploded into American life.

Corporations denounced the United States as a “system of white supremacy.” Universities pushed racially segregated programs that forced students to address their racial and sexual “privilege.” And schools injected critical race theory in the classroom, dividing children into “oppressor” and “oppressed.”

In this stunning new book, Christopher F. Rufo exposes the inner history of the left-wing intellectuals and militants who slowly and methodically captured America’s institutions, with the goal of subverting them from within. With profiles of Herbert Marcuse, Angela Davis, Paulo Freire, and Derrick Bell, Rufo shows how activists have profoundly influenced American culture with an insidious mix of Marxism and racialist ideology. They’ve replaced “equality” with “equity,” subverted individual rights in favor of group identity, and convinced millions of Americans that racism is endemic in all of society. Their ultimate goal? To replace the constitution with a race-based redistribution regime, administered by “diversity and inclusion” commissars within the bureaucracy.

America's Cultural Revolution is the definitive account of the radical Left’s long march through the institutions. Through deep historical research, Rufo shows how the ideas first formulated in the pamphlets of the Weather Underground, Black Panther Party, and Black Liberation Army have been sanitized and adopted as the official ideology of America’s prestige institutions, from the Ivy League universities to the boardrooms of Wal-Mart, Disney, and Bank of America. But his book is not just an exposé. It is a meticulously-researched and passionate refutation of the arguments of CRT—and a roadmap for the counter-revolution to come.

The War on Normies with Peachy Keenan

The War on Normies with Peachy Keenan

In this episode, I speak with Peachy Keenan about Target, Bud Light, and the war on normies.

Peachy Keenan is the pseudonym for a writer and mother living deep behind enemy lines. She identifies as a husbosexual, which means she is only attracted to people who identify as her husband. Peachy gave up a career writing for corporate behemoths so she could devote herself to her family, post on Twitter, and let her freak flag fly as a contributing editor and regular essayist for The American Mind, a publication of The Claremont Institute. A convert to Catholicism from secular nothingness and liberal feminism, Mrs. Keenan resides in Southern California, her ancestral homeland. She shares a home with her husband and children, who remain her toughest audience. You can find her on Twitter @keenanpeachy, at least until she is cancelled.

The Kindness of God to LGBTQ People with Becket Cook

The Kindness of God to LGBTQ People with Becket Cook

This week I sit down with Becket Cook to discuss how Christians should respond to people living the LGBTQ lifestyle.

Becket Cook was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He attended Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas. After graduating from college, Becket moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of writing and acting, finding success in both. He eventually went on to become a production designer working with the top photographers and directors in the world on fashion shoots for magazines such as Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, and for ad campaigns such as Gap, L'Oréal Paris, and Nike.

Finding a new sense of freedom in L.A., Becket also fully engaged in his new life as a gay man. He had a series of many relationships with men throughout the next fifteen years. In September of 2009, Becket met a stranger at a coffee shop in Silver Lake who invited him to his church in Hollywood called Reality L.A. Becket reluctantly agreed to attend the service. After hearing the sermon that Sunday, Becket was utterly transformed by the gospel and gave his life to Christ. He also knew on that day when God revealed Himself to him that homosexuality was a sin and that he could no longer live that life. Becket was more than happy to count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus his Lord.

Becket spends much of his time in ministry speaking at churches, universities, and conferences helping believers (and non-believers) understand this issue biblically, theologically, culturally, and personally. Balancing grace and truth when teaching on this subject is of primary importance. His goal is to challenge the current cultural narrative about sexuality in general and LBGTQ ideology in particular.  Becket graduated from Talbot School of Theology at Biola University in 2017 with a Master of Arts in Theology.

Becket’s book, A Change of Affection: A Gay Man’s Incredible Story of Redemption was published by Thomas Nelson in 2019:

Becket is the host of “The Becket Cook Show” on YouTube and all podcast platforms, where he looks at the lies of the culture through a biblical lens.
