The Prodigal Punk | Lewis Lewis
Lewis left Northern Ireland for London aged 17 with a punk band. He was an avowed atheist and hated religion. Just under four decades of debauchery, drugs and crime ensued, until an extraordinary encounter at his piano out of the blue one day. From Death to Life | Gram Seed
Gram was a football hooligan, a regular in prison, an addict and ultimately a destitute tramp, which led to him being in a coma for six days. The doctors called his mother in to agree to switch the machine off, but before they did so she allowed two men to pray over him, and he sat up! 27 years ago, this ‘scum of the earth’ started the most extraordinarily redemptive journey, which has given him the opportunity to work in prisons and schools and show thousands of people that nobody is beyond redemption. Shaking up Journalism! | Dr Jenny Taylor
From the most challenging of backgrounds, Jenny developed into a Marxist activist before having a radical encounter with Jesus. This led to a rechannelling of her energies as a journalist to address religious illiteracy in the West. Her campaigns have had seismic impacts, including helping end the conflict in Uganda with Kony’s Lord’s Resistance Army and helping stop the extremist London megamosque from going ahead. Having grown up attending rough schools and seeing high levels of deprivation in classmates' lives, Ian felt called to teach in tougher areas where few want to go. When I last saw him, a young man that week had tried to stab him in the eye! But he loves his job, his kids, and the regular opportunities to share his faith. And then, a few years ago, he gave himself a challenge of stepping out of his comfort zone consistently. Dozens of salvations and healings later, he’s lost count of all that God has done through him.
