Owl

Owl

An ordinary walk to put rubbish in the outside bin at night turned into an extraordinary experience for us when we saw an Owl! We were so fascinated that we went inside and immediately tried to identify what type of owl it was. We found out that it was a Southern Boobook Owl. For some non-logical reason, we changed its name to a Bookbook owl 😉. It sure is amazing to see such a diversity in birdlife within our own surroundings. Just another reason why trees are so important!

Rainbows are a Circle

Rainbows are a Circle

Thank you for tuning in. As humans, it is important to find a healthy balance in the things we do. Connecting with nature somehow helps with finding that balance and sense of wellbeing. Mindfulness, attention to detail, the little things, the simple things in life and,  our surroundings. Disconcet to reconect.

Environmental sustainability

Environmental sustainability

                                                                           Environmental sustainability

Environmental sustainability is the responsibility to conserve natural resources and protect global ecosystems to support health and wellbeing, now and in the future.

2020 saw us re-evaluate our lifestyle and make a conscious effort to be more self-sustaining, for ourselves, society, and the environment. My motto became ‘Do the Best you Can with What You’ve Got.' Instead of wishing that I had more, or waiting for things to maybe one day improve, I knew the time was now to do what I could to make the most of things in life. Gardening was one major aspect of our changes, and being more resourceful was another. The preoccupation of society with the acquisition of consumer goods has a negative impact on the earth’s natural resources. I saw and felt that 2020 was a huge time for many people all around the world to start becoming increasingly conscious of the environmental impact of consumerism and PEOPLE STARTED MAKING CHANGE more than ever! It felt like a movement.  It felt amazing. It still does, although things now in society with production have started up again mostly, I know that many people are still trying their best to practice environmental sustainability. In this podcast, we share some of our environmentally sustainable ideas.
