Anything Goes With Greg & Alex

This week we bring you another random episode! We talk about how we actually all live in the past and how there is such a thing as a haunted house summer camp (which we both would have loved as kids!). Even though we are both pretty sick right now, it didn’t stop us from sitting down and talking about some random things on our minds. We also give the latest update on McKamey Manor and why he continues to dig himself deeper in a lawsuit. We end the episode with some random fun movie facts that you may or may have never heard before!

This week we recap all that happened during WrestleMania 40. From Bloodline rules and finishing the story to an entertaining ladder match. We talk about everything we liked, loved and maybe didn’t love as much. We also mention a little bit about our experience going to New York Mets opening day. If you are a Mets fan, you’ll know how this one went. Although some rainbow cookie eggrolls helped the day out! From some not so great baseball to one of the best endings to a WrestleMania in a long time, we talk about it all!

Wrestlemania weekend is upon us! This week we talk all about Wrestlemania 40 and what we think of the matches and possible winners and losers. Although Wrestlemania has become an entire weekend event, somehow we still get excited for it, especially when our Tribal Chief is headlining both nights! Who will come out victorious and will we be absolutely exhausted after both nights of Wresltemania 40? I guess we will see if our predictions are correct!

Welcome to the 2024 MLB season! This week we talk about baseball starting up and how, as Met fans, we aren’t too hopeful but are still excited for the season to begin. We also talk about some of the Ohtani scandal and what we think about it all. Greg also becomes some kind of physicist and talks about living in the past, present and future. Let’s see if we can live in the present at Mets opening day and root for the Mets to keep their winning opening day record!

This week we talk all about what it’s like to have twin toddlers! From the good to the crazy, we break down a day in the life of our daughters. Alex admits she’s just as obsessed with Bluey as they are and mentions what she thinks might be the toughest part of it all. Greg tells a few stories about what fatherhood has done to him (yes, it includes arguing with a toddler) and how fun this ride really has been this far. As much as we don’t want them to grow up it’s so much fun to watch and be able to be kids ourselves! I mean… who wouldn’t want to spend the day at Chuckecheese???

This week we are catching up on what’s been going on with the randomness of the world. From a botched Willy Wonka Experience to Mike Tyson’s comeback and what we think of this upcoming baseball season. We fill you in on a few episodes that are coming up in the future (Like another Disney Toddler edition episode). We also speak about how McDonald’s subliminally makes you hungry just from seeing their sign. Like we said, it’s a very random episode but hey, anything goes!

Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone. This is the time of year to tell your significant other those 3 special words… “I Hate You”! In this week’s episode, Greg and Alex profess their love for each other the only way they know how, by going over the top 10 things they hate… about each other! We also find out what Alex’s request was to Greg for this Valentine’s Day and every one going forward (it makes total sense). This week we take a trip into the movies as we have some movie trivia for each other. The rules of this episode are simple…you choose one line from any movie and the other person has to guess what movie it is. Sounds easy right? Some movies aren’t as easy as you’d think! Does Alex know Wizard of Oz as much as she thinks? Does Greg have 8 pages of notes? Are they both completely delirious? These are all very possible things. 3…2…1…Welcome to the 2024 Royal Rumble… episode of the Anything Goes podcast. In this week’s episode, we break down the entire Royal Rumble 37 card (All 4 matches). We give our predictions on not only the winner of each match, who we think will be surprise entrants, and also give our opinion on the order that all 4 matches should be. We also get into Raw going to Netflix for the next 10 years and how Alex feels about it! This is not a prediction, it’s a spoiler alert… it is not good feelings! For the main event of the episode we bring back a friend of the podcast Joey Capz and he tells us his thoughts on this year’s Royal Rumble. Does it line up to ours? So how did we start our New Year, by seeing Story of the Year! Not once, but twice in back to back nights in two different states! We celebrated 20 years of their debut album Page Avenue by seeing them Saturday in New Jersey at Starland Ball and Sunday in New York at the Palladium Theater. As always, Story of the Year did not disappoint! We talk all about the concerts as well as the history of the band. What was their original name? How does Story of the Year inspire Greg to jump in the pool and also make him a better podcaster? How do they link to Greg joining a band without even trying out and why is he so nervous that Alex proclaims her love for Story of the Year… multiple times! We will surely love this band… Until The Day We Die!!!

This week we bring it back to Christmas and talk all about Christmas House Long Island. We visited Christmas House right after Christmas Day and had the best time. We break down all of the 10 rooms they have and how much fun we had in each one. From finding the hidden Elf nods to playing in the snow and taking some great photos. This is always a great time whether you go to Halloween house or Christmas house. Greg and Alex also talk about some ideas they have for other “houses”, like Easter and Movies! So get back to being Jolly and let us know what rooms you’d want to see!

In 2024s first episode we bring you all the second edition of Greg! Well… Crazy Greg actually. We talk about Greg’s alter ego, Crazy Greg, and what exactly goes on when he is in full Crazy Greg mode. From being hypnotized to getting a MVP chant from about 300 people. Find out how he got labeled the name “Crazy Greg” and when it all started. Merry Christmas everyone! This week Greg tests Alex’s knowledge on all things Christmas. From the real reason it is celebrated to why children leave cookies and milk for Santa. Happy Chanukah!!! (Or however you spell it) As we celebrate the Festival of Lights, we find that there really is no wrong way to spell it. Alex found some Chanukah facts which she uses to test Greg’s knowledge on his holiday. From the most popular foods to the worlds largest Menorah, we talk a little bit about it all. Happy Birthday to Alex!! This week we break down every haunt we went to this past 2023 Halloween season. From four haunts in one night to the 20th anniversary of one! Then we move on to Alex’s favorite season… The Holiday Season! We talk about a few of the holiday things we have lined up and how old Alex feels. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! In this week’s episode, we are thankful for the important things in life… Family, Friends, and Vinny Pacifico! Vinny Pacifico is an International Professional Wrestler who is taking the industry by storm! From his larger than life personality, to his top notch social media game, there is a reason why Vinny has been signed by G Fuel Energy Drink! Vinny has spent the last decade of his life crafting his art as a Professional Wrestler which will now lead him to his first ever trip overseas to Japan in December to show the wrestling world what he is made of! Make sure you keep an eye out for Vinny in a town near you, in Japan, and soon to be on your tv at home!

As if spending 30 hours straight inside of Six Flags Great Adventure wouldn’t be scary enough…. Imagine doing it overnight… inside of a coffin!!! In this week’s episode, we speak with Kerri who did exactly that! Kerri competed in the Six Flags Great Adventure 30 hour coffin challenge and she is here to tell us all about it. From her very interesting backstory, to what the audition process was like, to the challenges that she had to compete in… Kerri walks us through it all and tells us what it was really like to be in the park at 3 AM! After getting to know Kerri, it is no surprise that she was only 1 of 6 people chosen out of 6,000 to take part in this one of a kind experience. Did she survive the full 30 hours? Well, if you are a fan of six flags, Halloween, competition, or just like hearing a fun story, this one is for you!

Halloween might be over, but the Brookdale Haunted Theater lives forever… at least it has for the past 20 years! In this week’s episode, we went back to visit one of our favorite haunts, The Brookdale Haunted Theater located right on its own college campus. We were able to experience the best of what their last 20 years had to offer as we walked through their haunt. (Spoiler alert, not everybody that night made it completely through). We were able to see 20 years of some fan favorite scenes, as well as a personal favorite design of our own. Not only did this Haunt live up to the hype of their 20th year, but they took it to the next level. Grab yourself an ice cream cone and take a listen as we try to match Addeline up with her true love!

This week we break our own record by going to FOUR different haunted attractions in one night. We have done all 4 Disney parks in one day and decided it was time to take it to the next level and do 4 haunts in one night! Located all over NYC, these 4 haunts took us about 6 hours to do and they were all worth the exhaustion! First we stopped at Terror Vision: Live the Nightmare and got to speak with Dalton, then Blood Manor, followed by Nightmare: Dollhouse and ended our night in Brooklyn with Ridgewood Asylum. Each one of these haunts were so different from each other and there’s so much we love about all of them. We are still recouping from this late weeknight but it was totally worth it! There is only one way we know how to celebrate Halloween week and that’s by doing 4 Haunts in 1 night!

This week we recap all that we have done so far this Halloween season. From some of our favorites to our local haunts and even some great things for the entire family to enjoy. We visited pumpkin patches, Halloween houses, Dinosaur LuminoCity and so many haunted houses. We had even more planned but unfortunately between weather and random things changing our schedules, we had to push them back! We talk all about everything and also mention some of what we have coming up. From even MORE haunted houses to some great interviews. In this week’s very special episode, we are joined by writer, director, haunt owner and The Emperor of Immersive Horror, Timmy Haskell. Timmy Haskell has been scaring and entertaining people for over 20 years as he is the mastermind behind the power house “Psycho Clan”. In this in depth tell all interview, Timmy tells us all about what inspired him to originally want to scare people, to his favorite production that he has ever put on. We talk about it all from the years of Nightmare NYC, to the time he built a Kellogg’s Pop Tart interactive haunt in Union Square. Even though Timmy has already done it all, he is still going strong with this year’s opening of Nightmare Dollhouse in NYC and The Horsemen: Terror Lies in Chaos in Sleepy Hollow. If you are a horror fan of any kind, this episode is certainly for you! Timmy even plays along with Keep It or Kill It and answers the very tough question of who he would keep and who he would kill… Greg or Alex!

This week we freak ourselves out by talking all about different phobias. We talk about the ones we legitimately have (which may or may not be strange ones!) and some that other people may have and how extreme phobias can really get. Since Halloween season officially kicked off, we figured why not give you all the creeps by talking about things that might creep you out! Hopefully we don’t have to encounter and overcome any of our phobias at any of the upcoming haunts that we will be visiting. One of us may not make it out alive!

In the first episode of our new season we break down the reality of going to Disney with twin 2 year old girls. We share everything we loved and everything we wish could have worked out better. From the magical moments to the crazy tantrums (although there weren’t as many as you’d think!), we talk about it all. Even a very touching experience when one of our girls were having a meltdown moment and Rey came over to comfort her. If you’re thinking of taking your 2 year old to Disney… do it! Hopefully we help you plan and prepare with hearing about our experience!

Welcome to Episode 200!!! It’s been a long road and we can’t believe we made it this far but 200 episodes later, here we are. We talk about the past episodes and what is to come in the future. We talk about our favorite episodes and the ones that maybe could have been skipped! Greg gives a HUGE thank you (or should we say… 200 thank yous) to everyone who have been with us since day one and the ones who joined us along the way. Thank you so much and we are looking forward to the next 200!

For our 199th episode we are Keeping the spookiness going as we talk about this years line up for Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights. We talk all things from the scare zones around the park and the haunted houses to the pricing of tickets and upgrades. There are a few good things to look forward to at this years Halloween Horrir Night, like a Chucky Haunted house, and we break down it all. Get even more excited for spooky season with us and decide which haunt would be your favorite (or least favorite!).

I’m this week’s episode, we talk about two of Alex’s favorite things in life, Britney Spears and Disney! Fresh off of seeing the Broadway play Once Upon A One More Time, we discuss our thoughts on the play and what it was like for our first time ever sitting front row on Broadway. We then talk about our upcoming Walt Disney World trip as we rank the 6 new Disney rides that we haven’t done yet and our excitement level of doing each of them. We took a ride to our local Spirit Halloween store and was excitedly surprised to find that they were already open for the season! We ran right in to check out all of the newest additions that Spirit Halloween has to offer for the 2023 Halloween Season, from their biggest and scariest animatronics to all of the Haunted Mansion merchandise Alex needs to buy, to the $10 mugs that fills up our cabinets. There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow! In this episode we break down our expectations of a trip to Disney we will be taking with our 2 year old twin girls. Everything from strollers to the Florida heat and how many melt downs there will be. Will they sleep at all the wrong times? Will they be good on the plane? Who knows! We sure don’t… but we take some guesses on what we think it will all be like. People might say we are crazy but we know this will be one of the best times of our lives (along with some of the most chaotic times!) and we really can’t wait! We also talk about the new addition to Disney World’s Haunted Mansion, The Hatbox Ghost, and how we feel about it materializing over in Florida.

In this edition of a very random episode we talk about our upcoming Disney trip, a carnival ride malfunction and Halloween officially being here. We give a listener update about a few of our loyal listeners and talk about a few shows we will be seeing next week. Greg gives us some riddles (which may take Alex some time to think about) and some “would you rather” scenarios. Give this one a listen and hear about how Greg always gets the weirdest injuries at the strangest times. It may just be because he is way too competitive but it’s worth it if he wins! Unless maybe if he drops his cellphone out of a go-kart mid race.

This week we defy death. Just kidding!… but we do talk about a few of the times we had some near death experiences (some a little too near). Everything from a Tommy Boy scene to almost getting hit by a car. We discuss what it was like to drive in a crazy ice storm on the Garden State Parkway with cars spinning out of control all around us. We also discover that maybe it’s best we don’t go to the first game at any new stadium/arena. One of us almost got hit in the face with a line drive and one actually did. This week we talk to our favorite fellow Disney fanatics and two of the coolest kids on the planet, our niece and nephew, Emily (12) and Benjamin (8)! We ask them life’s toughest questions and see what they think about some random topics. Some of their answers might surprise you! We had so much fun on this one (as you’ll hear from all of the laughs) and even find out what really makes someone old in their minds. This one will put a smile on your face for sure!

Happy 4th of July! This week we talk all about our 4th of Julys growing up and we realized that they don’t make childhoods like they used to. We also talk about our not so great (but also not so bad) 4th this year. From deciding to go to the most exhausting amusement park in 100 degree heat (no, not Disney) to having our key locked inside of our car. Regardless, 4th of July always has a special place in our hearts and we always look forward to it and what the rest of the summer will bring.

In this week’s episode, we take a ride down the Garden State Parkway as we stopped at PNC Bank Arts Center to catch the 20th Anniversary Tour of 3 Doors Down “Away From the Sun” album. Not only is 3 Doors Down on Greg’s Mount Rushmore of bands, but it was the girls first ever concert at 2 years old! We talk all about the concert and Greg shares what was supposed to be his first concert ever at 7 years old until it got cancelled just minutes before. Check out this episode as we got not only one, but two social media appearances by Brad Arnold as we were recording live!

Here comes another random one! This week we talk about some more random topics that we have came across lately. We talk about how Alex was totally right about Cocomelon, the Metaverse taking way too much of peoples money, how we will never miss an episode (even when a family member is in the hospital and getting into a car accident the same day we recorded this), how the Oakland Athletic fans are by far the greatest and also about a recent Sex and the City pop up we went to (Greg may have not been as into it as Alex). We also make sure to wish our OG listener Janell a very happy birthday!

From this crazy apocalypse type air quality to a haunted house shutting down due to one person ruining it for everyone! We talk about how our friendship came to be, as well as the origin name of 9 Dead and what the future holds for them! We also talk about Blake’s love of Harry Potter as he spoke with us from Ink Society 13, the tattoo shop where Blake can ink you up, as he is also a tattoo artist! In our Bamboozle wrap up episode, we spoke with the guy behind Scamboozle. We hear his side of things of how everything surrounding the festival went down. We talk all things from how it initially got started, to his thoughts on the cancellation of Bamboozle. It’s safe to say that the drama behind all of this gave us something to talk about for sure!
