Pool Party with Jennifer Ross Cabe

Pool Party with Jennifer Ross Cabe

Brandons 45th birthday has come and gone but that doesn't mean we didn't celebrate. We set up at our buddy Paul's house and setup the podcast equipment under the canopy for the poolside of the party.

Grilling was going down all day and so was the pop shots at different branches, we had all military branches covered at this party minus the Coast Guard.

Jennifer sat down with us to discus her life in the Air Force. Retiring just a couple years ago, Jennifer achieved the rank of Chief Master SGT and lived all over the world in her career.

As always good times and lots of fun were had by all.

That Makes a C-Note

That Makes a C-Note

Hey Hey we made it! Episode 100 and it has everything that the Grunts in Appalachia have ever done! There's a crazy story time about the festivities that took place while Brandon was on Vacation in Lake of the Ozarks. It just so happens that two of his compadres that were there at the lake were also on this episode. Introducing Paul and Travis both veterans, Paul a retired Army First Sgt. Travis served in the Air Force. Both add not only some clarity but also some flare to the stories of their feats at the lake.

In Walks Dave Denning, a repeat offender on the show. Dave opens up on the second half and really talks about the vaccines, hospital shortages the mask mandates and hospital policies. It was pretty cool to hear about these things from a doctor that now sees things differently looking in hind sight.

Lots of laughs and some interesting topics are covered on this episode.

Hollywood, War, and Motorcycles

Hollywood, War, and Motorcycles

Welcome back ya'll! This week Gorgeous George and Brandon sit down and talk about the weather. Not really though. We have a discussion about war in movies and what happened to the good ones. Where did a good war movie go? Gorgeous George talks about his train wreck of a weekend while Brandon was staying dry playing Call of Duty. The topics move around and land on motorcycles, riding, and safety or lack there of. We hope you all enjoy episode 99 and get ready for episode 100, it should be a big one! Stay safe out there this memorial day! Grunts In Appalachia out!

Title 42 Expired Here Comes the Wave of Illegal Immigration

Title 42 Expired Here Comes the Wave of Illegal Immigration

Gorgeous George and John sit down in Boots Spirits and Feed, an awesome country western bar in downtown Huntington, WV.

Topics of disscussion were a little more on the serious note this week with some jumbled humor. There's so much going on in the world it's hard not to talk about the daily hot button issues. The expiration of Title 42 and the stats of illegal immigrants coming through our Southern border are staggering to say the least. We jumped all over it and gave our 2 cents on it of course.

Climate change and what in the world is going on down in South Africa, maybe something worthwhile to hear about since it might be happening in the near future here in America.

Wellness Check was great this week and its something that everyoen should start to implement in their daily lives so we can have a better world and more productive people.

Take a listen and let us know what you think, we love the feedback. If you havnt followed us on your favorite platform please do, you don't want to miss any upcoming content.

Bang! Reset the Clock!

Bang! Reset the Clock!

Happy Mothers Day to all you fabulous ladies out there doing the mothering thing. For this week we have special guest Neera Burner, adopted out of India as a baby and raised in Appalachia. Currently an influencer that has works with and has worked with major companies that we all know and love.

John and Brandon have a pretty good spat going back and forth about the merits of public education and homeschooling. It was an argument that the public should take note of because it was off the hip, neither one of us knew the others perspective and we had a tense debate, it stayed within the parameters of respect and at the end of it we proved that you can disagree and still be perfectly fine with someone else with opposing beliefs. Now back to Neera who unfortunately had to moderate that one but she seemed interested to hear both sides of the argument.

Neera let something off her chest on this episode so for the wellness check we discuss the seasons of life when it comes to any sort of relationship. It got a little emotional but it was so genuine and the pain so recent that you will feel the emotion when she attempts to delve into it.

Big shoutout to Steve and Creekside Tavern for allowing us to setup and record there, they've got great bar food and drinks if you're ever down the Wayne County way.

If you're feeling a little sluggish make sure to pick up a CAMO energy shot!

Bud Light Presents Pain

Bud Light Presents Pain

Brandon goes off on the Bud Light controversy but we aren't going to tell you here what was said, guess you'll just have to take a listen.

John talks about his Washington D.C trip this last week and all the cool things there are to do there. Artificial Intelligence was also another topic of discussion when it comes to job loss and the ability for robots to basically take over most everyone's jobs in the near future.

We made this one a little longer because its been a few weeks since the three of us got to sit down together.

Enjoy this weeks episode, we know we enjoyed making it for you.

A Red Dawn Conundrum

A Red Dawn Conundrum

Happy 4/20 to everyone out there! John and Gorgeous George sit down and talk about the different Easter holidays, the Chinese coming across our southern border, some more wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey space stuff, and all kinds of other things. John went on a trip to Nashville and had some great things to say about the city of music. Be sure to show your support and leave us a review!!!!

Into the Classified Files

Into the Classified Files

Scott Daniels proudly served in the US Army for 25 years 6 months and 13 days before he retired honorably as a 1st Sgt. His last job in the Army was spent being a Counter Intelligence Special Agent, you know the guys that are always doing the nefarious stuff in the television shows. Well we got to sit down with Scott and hear some cool stories about his time not only as a special agent but how he started his career in the 82nd Airborne. Same as your host Brandon McGuire.
In the second half of this episode we explore the massive changes and overhauls that have occured in the US Army. Scott served in a huge transitory time. Starting his career in 1985 and retiring in 2011 he witnessed the Army through the first Gulf War, the War on Terrorism, the liberation of Iraq and the war in Afghanistan. All the multiple uniform changes, weapon system upgrades and in his experience the change in discipline across the board. All covered so make sure to listen until the end. That's when the stories started to fly and we realized that Scott was going to have to come back for a follow up episode.
Brandon makes a huge announcement at the end of the episode that we are all really excited about!

MREs and Vasectomies

MREs and Vasectomies

The competition was on with the MRE challenge.  Two meals were chosen by each host in a blind draw format.  The each person had ten minutes to make the tastiest meal possible with the two meals that were chosen.  We delve into some MRE stories and explain our creations to each other as we taste test the colorless mush before us.  We at least had fancy Chipotle take out trays for presentation.

The show took a turn afterwards as Brandon and John talk about their vasectomies and the stupid things they did to themselves directly after surgery.

For the love of the game! (Except Chess, still not a sport)

For the love of the game! (Except Chess, still not a sport)

This week on Grunts In Appalachia we talk sports, but not your everyday sports.  We each took it upon ourselves to find the oddest sports that are played anywhere in the world, and when we say odd we mean it!  Gorgeous George wants to know about Jai Alai, John talks about Wife Carrying, and Brandon is still puzzled by pickle ball.  We talk more about what is actually a sport, and debate on whether or not we should bring back the Coliseum (Gorgeous votes a hard yes here).

Be sure to check us out on all of our social medias and if you're a huge fan write us a review or hit that support button.  You could also message us on Facebook and find out ways you could support the show!

Alien Encounters

Alien Encounters

The Grunts talk aliens.  Particulaly we discuss the alien war at the Dulce Base in New Mexico, the story of Valiant Thor and the entire town of Nuremburg witnessing an alien war in spaceships above them in the 1500s!

We jump off topic plenty of times for side conversations and our normal theatrics that you all are used to and why you love us.

There will be some polls on Facebook coming up this week in regards to aliens and other worldly things.  Tune it!

Bugs Boogers and the Consequences

Bugs Boogers and the Consequences

Special Guest Corbette Williams joined us today for a wild episode.  Corbett is another fellow Marine Grunt so he fit right into the craziness.

We've all probably heard about it by now but the wealthy elites of the world want you to stop eating so much beef and transfer over to bugs!  So of course we had to go out and purchase some, that way we could let all of you know just how tasty these little critters really are out of the bag.  So we dined on the podcast and we explain the flavor and texture of the crickets and meal worms that we ate.

Brandon decided that since his nose hair was out of control that we all had to have the inside of our noses waxed on air as well and that lasted about a whole 7 minutes and now all of us are breathing better.  Brandon's lady Christina did a great job of keeping the mood light but she was real serious about ripping that wax out of our breathing holes.  I'll never understand why women love to inflict pain on men when they are allowing it but to each their own I guess.

We discuss a couple of current events and Brandon jumped in late with a Wellness Check.

This is a wild episode, not for the kiddies.  But it's pretty comical if you like a little grunt humor.

What Do Their Organs Look Like

What Do Their Organs Look Like

Happy Valentines Day to everyone!

As everyone knows by now the Kansas City Chiefs won the Superbowl.  Brandon is beyond happy and now has to find new things to do between now and next football season, we think he's going to get into Nascar again.  We discus the Superbowl, especially the atrocious halftime show with brought to you by the red cladded Rhianna.  The internet was all over it but we had to have our three cents as well.

Since the first air to high altitude strike was made on the Chinese spy balloon there have been 3 other high altitude UFOs shot out of the sky in multiple places, here all about it here first.

Brandon tells some stories about how offended everyone is nowadays about everything, fake IDs and small humans.  We went way off script on some of this so it got a little wild but you need that sometimes.

Enjoy this installment of Grunts in Appalachia and consider becoming a monthly donor so we can continue to be all up in your ears with cool stories, sick destinations, gear, beer and whatever else pops in our heads that we think you need to know!

The Big Bang Theory and a Chinese Balloon

The Big Bang Theory and a Chinese Balloon

It all started out completely normal.  You know a Chinese balloon slowing roaming across our entire country, yeah about that.  That's where it all began on this episode and we might have believed it was going to be the biggest talking point before the second half of the podcast began.

Brandon being the die hard Chiefs fan that he is talked a little smack about the upcoming Superbowl.  I think we will all be on the Chiefs side for this one in support of Brandon since Yiorgi and John don't have a dog in the fight.

So the second half is the Big Bang and evolution theory between Yiorgi and John primarily. Maybe the very first debate on the program, always fun playing the mental games if ya know what I mean.  Please take a guess  who is team science and who is team follow the science, yeah there's a difference.

It was all in good fun and no punches were thrown so that's a win.

Enjoy and if you follow us on social media let us know what you think of this weeks episode of Grunts in Appalachia.

Birds Bees DARPA Dreams and Where Chickens Come From

Birds Bees DARPA Dreams and Where Chickens Come From

So we started the evening out dumping out some of Brandon's acquired gear from the Army before he retired and there was a lot of stuff, not to mention that we only scratched the surface of what he has colleting dust in his basement.

How in the world we started talking about the birds and the bees and the rise of technology all at the same time?  We sure did, and we compared our time as children to what todays children have to deal with when it comes to having any information that you could ever dream of in the palm of your hand every day

Brandon talks about the technology used in the Army while forward deployed in the radio operations center and all the ways that they can listen in on anyone having a conversation.  Did you know that text messaging has been a thing for many decades prior to being in the hands of everyone, this went from Brandons personal story of such use to a story that John remembered reading about from a long time ago.  No need to guess about it just take a listen.

The notorious Alaskan Bush Company was also discussed and while two of the three members of the squad here haven't ever been it sounds like a down right crazy place, towards the end of the episode and an establishment that sounds pretty wild to check out.

As always we love entertaining you guys, if you love what we're doing please consider becoming a monthly donor which you can do on the Anchor or Spotify app.  We appreciate you all!

Vacation Travel Stories

Vacation Travel Stories

Vacation Travel Stories

This week we planned on telling stories about travel while still serving activly in the military and after we got out, as just plain old veterans.  Plus Gorgeous George told some stories about his travels as a brother in a fraternity.
Brandon kicked the trip stories off with his long car ride with a longtime listen of the podcast, sorry I don't remember your actual name but for the rest of the listeners his nickname is "Meatball".  Needless to say don't fall asleep when its Meatballs turn to drive while traveling with friends.  You might wake up fearing for your life.

John stepped up next with a wedding travel story were all the participates on this trip were dressed a brightly as Skittles and everyone let them know it throughtout the wedding.  The weekend on the last exit of the L.I.E (Long Island Expressway) was pretty surreal with it being a small town full of massive farms.  One of the large farm owners was where we were heading and they had accounts everywhere so Johns buddy would just say their last name and it was all taken care of.... Breakfast, lunch, dinner, gas and whatever else was needed was provided.
Yiorgi then jumps in with a high school band trip that turned out to be the first time a girl gave him some attention that was appreciated but cost him after he was caught!

When travelling everyone has their go to for snacks and beverages so we discussed some of those things and how everyone it seems always wants to eat somewhere that they can't get back home, guess whose favorite place is Popeyes spicy chicken sandwiches.  While out on a trip its never sad to grab breakfast at Perkins which we all agreed to I think.
This is where the wheels on the bus started to come apart!  Yiorgi jumped in and told a story that involves frat brothers, sports bars, dirt floor strippers and strip clubs that are BYOB. You guessed it, trouble as soon as he made it back to his hotel.
And a couple little tips for all you out there, don't ever use real snuff, in Brandons words, it gives you a huge nicotine buzz that turns almost immediately into anger.  Don't go to dirt floor strip clubs that are BYOB and absolutly don't sleep in you car in a car garage in downtown Baltimore.

Check out these stories and more on this weeks episode of Grunts in Appalachia!

Edible Treats and Unbelievable Feats

Edible Treats and Unbelievable Feats

CEO of Matt Peyton of Thraxx THC and CBD company sat down with us this week and brought the goodies.  We learned a lot about different variations of strains and the process that his company uses to make the very popular Delta 8 edible gummies.

Brandon tells a great story on Gorgeous George in the second half and we like always had a great time!  I hate writing to much up on this because you need to take a listen instead of getting the CLIFF notes.

Don't Be a P***Y

Don't Be a P***Y

This week we traveled Buffalo, WV to sit down with two retired Marine legends, Mr. JC Knight and William Bodette.  Both of these guys are amazing story tellers and we let them have the floor so they could get out as much as possible in a little over an hour. Of course there are your usual shenanigans that were played throughout the episode but these men got down to the nitty gritty.

If you follow us on our social media then you already got to see John getting chewed out by both of them like he was a recruit on Parris Island, that glorious hell hole.

Check out this fresh new episode but please do it without your children present.

I'm Not a Racist, You're a Racist.

I'm Not a Racist, You're a Racist.

Well this was supposed to be a regular episode but when do we do regular?  Yiorgi and John show up to Brandons house, only thing is Brandon isn't home!  So we wait 45 minutes, making reels and talking about this episode that you're about to listen to before Brandon makes it home.  He shows up with a surprise guest Scott who is a US NAVY veteran of the first Gulf War and a super down to earth nice guy.  He's been an entreprunuer in this area for 30 years.  His first business that he started after handing the Iraqi National Gaurd an ass whoopin in the early 1990s was installing BASS in cars and trucks before "Pimp My Ride" was even a thing.

There's so much serious conversation mixed in with absolute comedy that you'll just need to take a listen, just not with the kids.

On to a New Year

On to a New Year

Last episode of the year and its a banger.  Hear all about the Christmas shenanigans, new years plans, new gear acquired on Christmas and a healthy dose of Wellness Checks. For some reason this episode just seemed to be a great culmination for 2022.

We have a Grunts Gear and Gadgets this week and its something that every single home in the world should have but you will have to listen to find out this multi purpose piece of gear.

Did a little reminiscing on some wild nights in the military from Brandon and John.  We also did if I remember correctly 2 at minimum wellness checks.

Overall this was one of our favorite episodes to record because everyone just had a lot to say.

Take a listen and tell us what you think.

Who Loves the Seabass!

Who Loves the Seabass!

This week the Grunts sat down with Sebastian Morris of Seabass productions.  This great young man just finished his enlistment in the United States Marine Corps this month and he is excited to now chase his dream of being a movie producer right here in Appalachia.  Sebastian also said one of the most profound things that I've personally heard about the military to date.  I'll say it here just in case you don't listen and catch it, he said, I won't quote because I don't want to mess it up, the military is a direct reflection of the American society.

We got into a lot of comparisons on this episode with Army and Marines and how they gain rank, testing, evaluations and over all life in the military.

Keep your eye on Sebastian because this man is going to go places in the near future and we were fortunate enough to have him on our show before he makes it to the big leagues.

Straight out of Prison with Derrick Evans

Straight out of Prison with Derrick Evans

January 6th Derrick Evans was a newly elected member to the West Virginia House of Delegates and a Trump supporter.  He went to the Capitol for the rally and then entered the US Capitol as a peaceful protestor.  Derrick became one of the faces of the "Insurrection" since he was an elected politician and since that day our government has put him and his family through hell.  But you can't keep a good man down and Derrick has now served his prison sentence and he talked to us about his prison bout at length.

Three months he sat in prison and during that time he made the best of it.  He learned about the customs and culture of prison life and he explained to us how many US citizens are currently spending time in the clink for victimless crimes and petty drug charges that are absolutely ridiculous.

Derrick refused the COVID vaccination so upon reporting to prison he had to spend his first 8 days in solitary confinement which he explains how he passed the time.  The segregation of races in prison is a serious thing but in his case he said that he didn't encounter any racism it was just how they did things to make it safer and as free inside as possible.  The hierarchy of the inmates and television and food are the things that are cherished the most.

You don't want to miss this almost expose on our prison system, just a warning this episode isn't one to listen to with children.

Christmas Spam

Christmas Spam

Well we got all three of us together again this week!

We added a duffle bag dump to the show this week, basically one of us (Brandon) picked and item to place in the bag and we had to open it up and talk about the item.  This took place as soon as we stopped the live feed we had rolling on Facebook that you can check out on our Facebook page.

Spending Christmas in the military without the option to go home to your loved ones and being forward deployed during the holiday season is something that Brandon and John have both experienced so we discussed how that was and how you can cope with it when you're with your boys.

There were some pretty entertaining news stories that popped up this week so we incorporated our commentary on those as well and we bet you haven't heard about these stories in the national news so you might want to get up to speed on some great conversation starters from these stories.

The Christmas Spam is going to happen but you might want to see if its available in your area or not, it's not in ours but we shall find some and eat it live so if you have it in your area and are feeling in the Christmas spirit please pick us up a can and send it to us!  As always Grunts in Appalachia Out!

We Did a New Thing!

Yo! We did it.  We went live on Facebook for the first time and we had a great time doing it.  We talked a lot about different happenings in the world, as well as how our Thanksgiving went for us personally.  Gorgeous George wasn't able to join us this week for a family thing and we are asking all our listeners to keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.  Check out this weeks episode and share it with a few of your friends!

It's Thanksgiving yall! So a very happy Thanksgiving to you all and your families and all of our forward deployed brothers and sisters in arms.

We got into some technical talk on this episode as Brandon and Gorgeous explain different things about sniper rifles, capabilities and deployment of the weapon system.  Some good jargon is thrown out in this episode for all you gun enthusiasts.  Sit back grab a beer and take a listen.

Here we are with part two of celebrating veterans! Last Thursday was the Marine Corps Birthday followed up with Friday being Veterans Day. You know what that means, every Marine made some bad decisions with their friends. Veterans Day is the day of the year that you can legit say thank you for your service to a veteran, while it makes a lot of them uncomfortable it is still the day to celebrate our brothers and sisters in arms and give them a little honor. This is part two and we find out Gorgeous George's other nickname, and if you call him that he will fight you.

Take me to the Ball

John and JC Knight went to this years 4th CEB A Co. Marine Corps ball.  We had some drinks some laughs and by far the best part of the evening was meeting and talking to other local Marines in the area that are currently serving.  We Marines take the birthday celebration to be one of the most sacred things in our beloved branch of the military. We had the honor of sitting down with two of the Marines from Alpha Company, one Corporal and one First SGT giving us insight into not only their company but what the Marine Corps means to them.

We Love a Great Tavern

This week we made our way to Creekside Tavern during the cornhole tournament.  We Got to meet a man that went viral on social media platforms for wearing a mankini while working as a pipeliner, the owner of Creekside (Steve) and a fellow 0331 Machine Gunner from the Marine Corps.  Some wild stories and some crazy Banana moonshine that the Marine brought in from out of his car, only out in the country do things like this happen.  This episode was a lot of fun and we hope you all love it as well.

Talking Tactical Technicalities

Talking Tactical Technicalities

This week we sat down with the CEO of MOS Tactical.  William drove 7 hours to chill with us as we walked downtown Huntington, WV for the Chilifest that was great.  Half the city showed up this year and kudos to all the talented vendors for your take on what chili is supposed to taste like.  You all did a great job and everyone had a blast.  William is such a great guest because he knows his trade inside and out and can talk so intelligently about it that even if you arent on the same wavelength you can get in the conversation because he wants to explain his craft to you.

If you get the chance check our MOS Tactical on Instagram and see all the amazing products that they bring to market for the casual consumer all the way to Special Forces Operators in other countries.  William is a wealth of knowledge and is so interesting to talk to that we will definitely be heading back to Virginia for a round 3 in the future.

Enjoy this amazing mans mind as we discuss his business and how cool it really is for everyone.

This week Gorgeous George and John sat down with not only one but two comedians!  Keith Terry and Victor Martinez Jr. got to wild out with us and swap some stories about things in the past and a couple things that happened within 5 minutes of greeting each other.  Bazookas were also on scene and yes I'm referencing the weapon.  Big shout out to EZ Street Bar and Grill in St. Albans for having us set up on their stage to record the episode and being such gracious hosts for us and all the performers there that evening.  If you don't know Keith then you should take a listen.  This man is going places and we are very proud to call him brother.

We did a wellness check revolving around humor and mental health that was pretty interesting coming from two separate comedians that you don't want to miss.

Gorgeous George His Day

Gorgeous George His Day

Greekfest 2022 was a hit! Yiorgi has worked this festival basically since his birth and it was great.  The food the music and dancers were top notch and no one could tell us how many times this festival has happened, the closest we could get was over 50 years!  Check out this weeks episode and let your ears go on a quest that will have you wanting more.

Brandon the Hammered

Brandon the Hammered

Well we haven't had a really wild episode in a while so Brandon definitely brought his A game to the table.  Yiorgi and John knew it was going to be wild when we showed up and there was a trash can full of beer cans.  We hit some cool places this week individually. Brandon stayed on the Greenbriar River in a mini camper for a couple of nights, Yiorgi won his shooting match and John went paintballing at a cool outside course called Scary Creek Paintball.

There are some controversial things in this episode so beware to leave your, "I'm offended" hat in your house and listen to this one while you're driving.

Fly on In Y'all

Fly on In Y'all

We were given the VIP treatment at the annual Fly in Festival a couple of weekends ago.  To say that it was cool would be an understatement.  Some of the greatest Blue Grass bands out today show up and put on an amazing show for the crowd.  We were able to score some back stage passes and we made an entire weekend out of hopping from camper to camper listening to blue grass music and hanging with the awesome people that were performing throughout the weekend.

We podcasted after the best of the best were on stage and as the title goes we were at the Fly in! So people were skydiving all weekend and we set up shop inside the headquarters of West Virginias Skydivers building to get the podcast recorded.  The hanger  that they work our of is amazing in itself and we enjoyed watching all the cool behind the scenes stuff that goes into packing chutes and getting ready to take to the skies.

Check out this special edition and enjoy yourself as you prepare to take to the skies on a drop you will never forget.

Dirty Pirate Hooker

Dirty Pirate Hooker

Our very first female veteran!  Please welcome to the show this week Mrs. Jill Dunkin.  Brandon met Jill while catching a delicious lunch and they became Army buddies in a second flat.  How they met is a pretty great story that's told this week.  Also, what is the Hash House Harriers? Here for your self from this proud Hasher herself.  Jill was a Captain in before leaving the Army and she is also a combat veteran.

Jill is lot of fun to hang out with and drink some beers while swapping stories and she has some good ones.  Check out this weeks episode and enjoy!

Appalachian Trainer Faceoff: Special Edition

Appalachian Trainer Faceoff: Special Edition

This is not our typical podcast so if that's what you're looking for you'll have to wait until next Tuesday morning.

John went to the Appalachian Trainer Faceoff that is put on by The Heart of Phoenix Equine Rescue.  In this event trainers from all over the country show up to the rescue farm and they choose through a drawing of sorts a horse that has not been handled. They then bring these horses home with them to train them for 100 days.  During the process they have many meet ups and fun events like trail rides and camping out together that helps build bonds and friendships with other trainers and helps to get their horses ready to compete against each other for the title of ATFO champion.  With two divisions (professional and amateur) and world class equestrians like Pat Roberts, Carl Bledsoe, Patrick King and Michael Lyons as the judges this is a serious competition between the trainers and still they all work together for the betterment of the horses involved.

John was able to sit down with all 4 judges and numerous trainers including the two Champions, professional champion Patrick Sullivan and amateur champion Maribeth Harrell. Congrats to both of you on your much deserved wins this year!

Sit back and listen to what big things are happening in the heart of Appalachia for horses in need.

Polly Has a Knife

Polly Has a Knife

This week we sat down at one at one of Brandon and Johns favorite lunch stops, Scratches.  Every week without fail these women throw down on some soul food that is straight from your mamas kitchen and its super reasonably priced! Polly, Donna and Sara kill it with their down home cooking and Polly can run her mouth behind a bar like no other.

We have never felt more welcome or walked into a bar that feels like Cheers more than this one.  We all have that one go to that we believe is the best and this is it for us. Underneath these women have a heart of gold and we love them like family so check out what it's like to sit down with real people doing real things and people loving them for it.  You wont be disappointed. And after listening got to one of your favorite spots and tell them how much you appreciate them for the work they do that you love.

Tour De Franzia with Scott Corso

Tour De Franzia with Scott Corso

Our guest this week is Scott Corso.  Did you know that rocks paper scissors is actually a real game with a national champion and the competition is held in Las Vegas?  Yeah, that happens and Scott by chance walked into a bar one evening and they needed one more person to compete that night, he agreed. After he won that he found out that he was the regional winner with a free expenses paid trip to Las Vegas to compete for the national championship.  Take a listen to find our what happened there!

Scott is also an avid camper and only has 4 more West Virginia State parks and forests to camp in to have been in them all, that's a pretty cool goal.

We started a new thing and we have are growing a podcast posse for the episode when we record at Brandons house so you will hear the parting going on in the background as our peeps hang out and we do our thing on the mics.

This was a very fun episode with a lot of laughs so check it out and enjoy!

Locked Up in Paradise

Locked Up in Paradise

Ever been locked up overseas? Our guest did and it's a very bad thing.  Terry Foster is an acting talent coach and talent agency owner for over 20 years.  He lived in LA for many years before moving back to his roots in Appalachia where he continues his search for amazingly talented people.

Terry went down to to the Bahamas looking for talent and had a good thing going until he didn't.  When it went South he ended up in prison in a faraway land with no one to help him but himself.  He did meet some interesting characters while in the clink and he will never forget the hospitality that the Bahamas showed him in " Her Magestys Prison".

Now Terry continues on his talent search but has the ability to talk about his story that he couldn't talk about for many years due to safety concerns.

Great episode with a lot of life lessons for anyone that travels abroad.

Before I forget!

Before I forget!

Hey listen we are constantly trying new things and this was our first time ever doing a podcast virtually.  Before I forget podcast is another veteran based podcast that we reached out to for a collaboration and we made it happen a couple of weeks ago.  These guys are great and have an awesome show and we were thrilled to be able to have a show with them and get to know each other.

This show was recorded by the fellas at Before I Forget and we are using it this week as our episode as we didn't want to share the same cast as they did in the same week.

since its been a couple of weeks we didn't want to ruin it for ourselves so for our format we chopped off some of the introductions and happy greetings and the long goodbyes and kept the meat and tators of it so we will be listening to it at the same time you're listening we have know idea what was said at this point since we use so many words day to day.  You wont here our intro but we hope you enjoy this second episode of our second season!
