Episode 69, S2, Effects of Pornography Viewing on Sexual Satisfaction in Intimate Relationships, Podcast Gulabi Sambad
Research on how pornography affects sexual satisfaction in relationships has shown mixed results. Some studies say watching porn can make people less satisfied sexually because it creates unrealistic expectations or makes them less attracted to their partner. Yet, other studies suggest it might not have any effect or could even be positive by encouraging sexual exploration and communication between partners.
However, excessive consumption or secrecy surrounding pornography use can lead to feelings of betrayal, insecurity, and dissatisfaction. Thus, the relationship between pornography viewing and sexual satisfaction is complex and multifaceted, influenced by various personal and relational factors that warrant further investigation and understanding.
In this episode of Gulabi Sambad, we delve into the question of whether integrating pornographic videos into intimate moments within a physical relationship improves overall sexual satisfaction. Tune in to the podcast for an insightful exploration of this topic.

Episode 63, S2, Understanding Virginity, Hymen and Correlations of Hymen with Sexual Health, Podcast Gulabi Sambad
Understanding virginity, the hymen, and their connections to sexual health involves considering cultural, medical, and social factors. Virginity is often seen as never having had sex, but its meaning varies between cultures. The hymen is a thin membrane near the vaginal opening, but it's not a reliable sign of virginity as it can vary and be affected by activities unrelated to sex. Thinking that an intact hymen proves virginity can lead to harmful beliefs and practices. While the hymen might matter in medical exams, its presence doesn't guarantee sexual health. It's important to correct misunderstandings, share accurate information, and have open conversations about these topics to help people make informed choices about their bodies and sexuality.
In this episode of Gulabi Sambad, we have discussed these topics with Dr. Prakriti Sitaula, Gynecologist and Obstetrician.

Episode 44, S2, Birth Defect and Importance of Consuming Folic Acid, Podcast Gulabi Sambad
Birth defects are structural or functional abnormalities present at birth that can affect a baby's physical or mental development. These defects can occur in various parts of the body and may result from genetic factors, environmental exposures, or a combination of both. One of the most important and preventable birth defects is neural tube defects (NTDs).
Neural tube defects are a group of birth defects that affect the brain and spinal cord's development. They can lead to serious health issues, such as paralysis, intellectual disabilities, and even death. The most common types of NTDs are anencephaly (a severe underdevelopment of the brain) and spina bifida (a malformation of the spinal cord and spine).
The link between birth defects and the consumption of folic acid is primarily related to the prevention of NTDs. Neural tube defects are a specific category of birth defects that involve abnormalities in the development of the neural tube, which eventually forms the baby's brain and spinal cord. Folic acid plays a crucial role in preventing these defects.
To address all these interconnections between birth defects and consumption of folic acid, this episode of Gulabi Sambad incorporates the conversation with Dr. Benju Koirala, Gynecologist, and Obstetrician.
