Guns N' Radio 256 - Adler's Appetite: Alive! (Full EP Review)

Today we replay our song reviews for each song on the Adler's Appetite 2012 EP "Alive!" in track list order.

Alive is an EP released by American hard rock band Adler's Appetite on April 2, 2012. It is a sequel to the band's first EP, the self-titled Adler's Appetite that was released in February 2005. In 2010 the band released their single “Alive" on iTunes from what was intended to be their upcoming album Alive that was slated to be released in 2011. Also a radio edit of the single was released on July 29, 2010 in conjunction with Steven Adler's tell-all autobiography, My Appetite for Destruction: Sex, and Drugs, and Guns N' Roses, and the band continued recording the album in fall 2011 in North Hollywood, California, and unlike the band's first EP which the band produced itself, Alive was produced by Cinderella band member and drummer Fred Coury, and was also recorded in a different studio as well. The album was mixed by Adler's long time friend Anthony Focx, and was released under the record label Down Boys Records. There is a digital as well as a limited-edition physical release, as Alive is available in both CD and digital music formats.

Guns N' Radio 254 - Neurotic Outsiders (Full Album Review)

Guns N' Radio 254 - Neurotic Outsiders (Full Album Review)

Today we're replaying of reviews of each song from the 1996 album "Neurotic Outsiders" in album order.

Neurotic Outsiders was a British-American rock supergroup founded in 1995, consisting of Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols, Matt Sorum and Duff McKagan of Guns N' Roses, and John Taylor of Duran Duran. The first line-up featured Billy Idol and Steve Stevens (together with McKagan and Sorum) but they were soon replaced by Jones and Taylor.

Originally a gathering of friends jamming together at the Viper Room in Los Angeles, they eventually released one eponymous album on Maverick Records in September 1996, and briefly toured Europe and North America. The album was followed up by the Angelina 5-song EP in 1997, which was a Japanese-only release.

The band was originally named Neurotic Boy Outsiders after an article in The Guardian Taylor had read in the 70s. The "Boy" was dropped at the request of Sorum and McKagan.

They reunited briefly in April 1999 for three shows at the Viper Room.

This was not the first time that Guns N' Roses members and Steve Jones had collaborated. Axl Rose from Guns N' Roses, and Ian Astbury, Billy Duffy, and Mickey Curry, all from The Cult - which Matt Sorum played with both before and after Guns N' Roses - all also made guest appearances on the Steve Jones solo album Fire and Gasoline.

This would also mark the first of two collaborations between Steve Jones and John Taylor. The second collaboration was on Duran Duran's 2015 album Paper Gods.

Tracklist for the album:

"Nasty Ho" – 4:32 (lead vocals: Steve Jones)

"Always Wrong" (John Taylor) – 3:25 (lead vocals: John Taylor)

"Angelina" – 2:55 (lead vocals: Steve Jones)

"Good News" – 3:32 (lead vocals: Duff McKagan)

"Better Way" (Steve Jones, John Taylor) – 4:22 (lead vocals: Steve Jones & John Taylor)

"Feelings Are Good" (John Taylor) – 3:23 (lead vocals: John Taylor)

"Revolution" – 3:48 (lead vocals: Duff McKagan)

"Jerk" – 4:10 (lead vocals: Steve Jones)

"Union" – 4:29 (lead vocals: Steve Jones)

"Janie Jones" (Joe Strummer, Mick Jones) – 1:53 (lead vocals: Steve Jones & Duff McKagan)

"Story of My Life" – 4:10 (lead vocals: Steve Jones)

"Six Feet Under" (Steve Jones, Duff McKagan) – 4:00 (lead vocals: Duff McKagan)

FAN and NON FAN Reaction - The Beatles: Now and Then Music Video

FAN and NON FAN Reaction - The Beatles: Now and Then Music Video

Get ready for an unforgettable and heartwarming music video experience as we join two friends, Dustin and Mason, on a musical journey that transcends their differences. "Now and Then," the latest release from The Beatles, takes center stage, and their reactions promise to be as diverse as their opinions of The Beatles. Mason is a Beatles fan, and is bursting with excitement as he eagerly anticipates the new release. On the other hand, Dustin is a self-proclaimed skeptic when it comes to The Beatles. He's the type of person who appreciates a completely different genre of music. As the "Now and Then" music video begins, Dustin reluctantly joins Mason, who can hardly contain his excitement. The video unfolds with scenes of of iconic Beatles imagery. Mason's face lights up with nostalgia and pure joy as he listens to the new Beatles song. His emotions ebb and flow with the melody, and he can't help but sing along and air guitar to the timeless tunes. His love for The Beatles is evident in every smile and head nod. Dustin, on the other hand, starts off skeptical but gradually becomes engrossed in the music. The video captures his transformation from a hesitant listener to a genuine admirer. His initial skepticism turns into curiosity, and he begins to appreciate the song's lyrical depth and the band's harmonious sound. "Now and Then" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles. It was released on 2 November 2023. Dubbed "the last Beatles song", it appeared on a double A-side single, paired with a new stereo remix of the band's first single, "Love Me Do" (1962), with the two serving as "bookends" to the band's history. Both songs are to be included on the expanded re-issues of the 1973 compilations 1962–1966 and 1967–1970, to be released on 10 November 2023. "Now and Then" is a psychedelic soft rock ballad that John Lennon wrote and recorded in 1977 as a five-minute solo piano home demo, but left unfinished. After Lennon's death in 1980, the song was considered as the third Beatles reunion single for their 1995–1996 retrospective project The Beatles Anthology, following "Free as a Bird" and "Real Love", both based on Lennon's demos. Instead, it was shelved for nearly three decades, until it was completed by the surviving bandmates Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, including overdubs and guitar tracks by George Harrison (who died in 2001) from the abandoned 1995 sessions. The final version features additional lyrics by McCartney, and Lennon's voice extracted from the demo using the AI-backed audio restoration technology commissioned by Peter Jackson for his 2021 documentary The Beatles: Get Back. Jackson also directed the music video for "Now and Then". The song received acclaim from critics, who felt it was a worthy finale for the Beatles.
