A Father's Love through Gymnastics - My personal story with my Father, Wilbert Lyles Jr.
You get a rare chance of hearing from a African American Father, who is 75yrs old, that was a parent of a gymnast.  My father, Wilbert Lyles Jr., was able to share his experience with fathering me through my gymnastics career.  It's nothing like a father's love and support through your life journey.  Here's a little of my personal story from my father's prospective.  I'm forever grateful for my gymnastics experience, the love of my Father, and having this personal interview with him.

Wendy Hilliard - The First Black Rhythmic Gymnast on the U.S. National Team
Wendy Hilliard was the First Black Rhythmic Gymnasts on the U.S. National Team. She also  was the First Black President of the Women's Sports Foundation.  Wendy coached a 1996 Olympian.  She was an Olympic Sportscaster and Broadway performer.  She was a Director of Sports for the NYC 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Bid.  In 1996, Wendy founded the Wendy Hilliard Gymnastics Foundation (WHGF) in NYC.  This foundation provides free and low cost gymnastics to over 20,000 Urban youth in NYC.   In 2016, the foundation expanded to Detroit.  Wendy now lives in Harlem with her husband, Robert, and her two sons, Kennedy, and Bailey.  Please visit for more information.
