E19: Dione Masters

In this episode, Dave sits down with Dione Masters, CEO and President of Strongman Corporation, which she founded in 2004. They talk about where she started (her origin story) in Atlanta. Dione has four sisters, and she is the only one who got to go to school. At 24 or 25, Dione met a man who she saw as her way out, and she packed out and moved to St. Louis. Her mother told her to watch for signs for whether or not she should, and though there were several she ignored them all. It became clear that this was not a marriage that she wanted to get into. From there, her and Dave talk about her following life journey, Washington DC, and other adventures!

Jessica Kite is a shift supervisor at a downstate Illinois pizzeria, a mother, and looks like most other women. Until you see her compete in a Strength competition, as she is one of the strongest women in the world. She has won the title of “America’s Second Strongest Woman”, and competed in such places as Norway. Listen as she talks with Dave Waters and her husband, Clayton Puricelli, (who she met at the gym) as she recalls her journey for becoming able to pull a semi-truck, and how none of it was intended, but simply started as weight lifting and training to lose weight.
