Worship and Identity — Psalm 115 — K Felix Hollington
This evening I would like us to consider from the Bible the underlying problem that lies at the foundation of an ideology which has taken us to where we are today, and I will explain from the Bible, the only solution to man’s identity crisis.
What we’ll be considering this evening is that God created us for worship. We are made in His image for His glory. But because sin entered the world, man worships or glorifies other things instead of God. Man makes images to suit his desires but ends up being enslaved and shaped by his images of worship.
In other words, man’s rebellion against God, leads to idolatry, and such worship, mars man’s understanding to what it means to be a human because our identity (who we are) is closely linked with who/what we worship. And the only way for man to be restored to his original pattern and purpose is redemption... and that redemption is only found in the gospel of Jesus Christ the Lord.
LGBTQIA+ and the Sexualisation of Children in Schools — Tim Dieppe
A new report, published by Policy Exchange in March, highlights the shocking impact of LGBT ideology in our schools. It found:
- Seven in ten schools are failing to inform families when pupils question or change their ‘gender identity’
- Four in ten schools operate policies of ‘gender self-identification’
- At least 28% of secondary schools are not maintaining single sex toilets
- 19% of secondary schools are not maintaining single-sex changing rooms
- 72% of schools are teaching that people have a ‘gender identity’ that may be different from their biological sex
- 25% of schools are teaching that some people or children ‘may be born in the wrong body’.
Tim Dieppe, Head of Public Policy for Christian Concern, talks on the sexualisation of children in our schools and why there is cause for hope.
