Lifewalla might be someone who holds the key to life. Nina’s experiences certainly have shaped her to be that - going from being a loner introvert to outgoing extrovert when needed. Amongst her continuous learning she has a Bachelors in Computing; Masters in Creative Writing and a Masters level Postgraduate in Psychology, complemented by training in co-active coaching, stress management and other helping modalities.
She is now a writer (currently writing a sitcom pilot), trainer, events creator/producer, and stress management professional. Amongst other charities, she volunteered with Samaritans as a listener, trustee and trainer for prison listeners. Nina grew up in Kenya to itinerant parents who’d travelled with work, including to Germany, Libya, UK and Kenya, with a child born at each location! She herself has travelled to almost 70 countries. After their home in Kenya was attacked during an attempted military coup, she arrived with her mother and teenage siblings to the UK, facing the normal racism migrants experience, while her father stayed behind to continue earning and supporting them.
Other challenges included recognising and coming out of toxic environments, and the illness and death of close family members including her parents, a big blow each time. Working at Reuters, she rose quickly to Global Head of Projects for a subsidiary, and was mentored by senior leadership and some of the Board.
Her debut novel, Lifewalla, was inspired by survivors of the worst industrial disaster, the Bhopal Gas Disaster. During the Nepal Earthquake she was a digital volunteer with Standby Taskforce, where her solution-focused resourcefulness led to unusual teaming-up and the rescues of many people. During the live event we will aim to have a short experience of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), a tool Nina has used for more than 18 years. This last Episode of Series 2 is specially extended.

Straight into primary school at the age of 7 after arriving from Kenya in the 70s to a new country & culture. One of the few Asian or dark skinned students to make the school football team. Aged 11 he had to choose his own secondary school. Travelling with our father by bus late in the evening to visit the open day they took the bus going the opposite way. He enjoys philosophy, learned Kung Fu and Tai Chi and even taught it. Even with retakes he did not get the grade needed in English Language O Level (GCSE) in order to get a place at University to do Pharmacy. However using his initiative he talked, debated and influenced his way onto the Pharmacy course. As a pharmacist running his own community pharmacy in Watford, one time while on holiday the shop was flooded. His staff looked after the situation, this is because he looked after his staff. As my older brother he has taught me leadership, compassion, respect and service. He was a Director of Alternatives, hosting Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra and many others. For the last three decades, Nick has felt a call to offer leadership, to make his unique corner of the world better.
What he has come to see clearly from his own lived experience over that period, though, is that whenever he is inspired with a new project or action, something unpleasant usually kicks off inside him.
He doesn't feel capable, he feels inadequate, scared, he doubts himself, judges and criticises himself and even shame himself by saying “Who do I think I am to…”
