How to Develop Self-Awareness - Meditation
The way you've had meditation described to you is wrong. Whoever started saying the goal of meditation is to clear your mind is completely full of it. That's just not how it works at all. Let's talk about it. So we've covered Infomation Diet, Gratitude and minimizing complaining, and taking care of your physical health. This episode is on meditation. I'm really into a bunch of different types of meditation. There are literally hundreds. BUT in regards to basic mental fortitude and sense of wellbeing, there's one relatively simple type of meditation we're going to focus on. That is mindfulness meditation. Cut Out Complaining. It Will Change Your Life.
We're going to get you to stop being so negative... not for anyone else's sake but for your own. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take this to heart. Seriously sink into this one.  If you're stuck in this rut of complaining all the time-- and we'll talk about reprogramming your brain in more detail later on-- then you're pushing people away. You probably never chose this state, but circumstances in a life built up these default pathways in your brain to look for the problem in everything and everyone. It's a miserable life to live. I'm sorry if this is you. Not only is it miserable for you, but everyone you're around. It's kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you find yourself saying, everyone leaves and nobody likes to be around you... maybe it's because you push them away with your incessant negativity.  I'm not saying it's your fault that you got to this point. But from this point on, it's your fault if you continue to live in a state of constant negativity. Let's get started digging into this a little deeper.
