In this episode, HBCU Grad (@hbcugrad) founder Todd Finley (@toddnfinley) and The House of Eve author Sadeqa Johnson had a conversation ranging from her childhood to her children attending HBCUs. The conversation started with Sadeqa talking about how she discovered and developed her love of reading and writing. She then touched on her first few jobs as a publicist and working with luminaries including JK Rowling and TD Jakes. She then talked about how she instilled a love of reading and writing into her children. From there Sadeqa talked to us about the common traits that greats have. Sadeqa also shed light on her writing process. She was even nice enough to give us tactics and strategies that aspiring authors and speakers can use to attain their goals. In conclusion, Sadeqa gave us the advanced background and Cliff's Notes on her 5th novel, The House Of Eve.
Sadeqa's 42 minute conversation was a memorable one that is sure to inspire and inform.

In this interview, Dr Kimberly Wise White, Vice President of Regulatory and Scientific Affairs at the American Chemistry Council starts off talking about her upbringing and her love for science. Then she talks about how one can tell that they will be good in science. She goes on to talk about her experience earning three degrees from an HBCU. From there she talks about her hiring philosophy. After that, Dr White talked about humility and how doing the work is more important than accolades. Then she talks about her career path and how she's navigated in corporate America. She concluded by talking about how businesses can benefit from scientists, why mentees and mentors are important and how they plan to award scholarships to 1000 students by 2025.

On this podcast episode, the founder of HBCU Week, Ashley Christopher, sat down with Todd for her first ever HBCU Grad interview, and detailed being a double HBCU Grad, Proud Howard Grad, Lawyer and founder of HBCU Week. Ashley spoke on surviving a stroke and outlining what it showed her about herself. She spoke very highly of her HBCU journey with highlights of pledging The Alpha chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority while also detailing her process of initially being rejected from Howard University and how she earned admittance. Ashley went on to talk about how she started HBCU Week in 2017 with 500 students and now its two weeks long with one week being held at Disney with multiple HBCU Bands doing a parade at Magic Kingdom. He touched on titles and how he doesn't get caught up in them. His instagram name is the Hip Hop Prez. He spoke on how he got the name and how it has affected his career. He spoke on how you become a president and how he was the 4th president at Philander Smith College. He spoke in depth about the challenges of universities and how Harvard and Emory have some of the same issues as Howard University does. Dr Kimbrough had interesting insights on mentors. He also spoke on the value of fraternities and some of the challenges they face. He also shared insights on how university presidents can have success.

On today's episode, Todd Finley sat down with Terrance Lee who is the author of the book Quiet Voice Fearless Leader. 10 Principles for Introverts To Awaken The Leader Inside.
Terrance and Todd have a wide ranging conversation. They touch on how content is important when building a brand. They talk about how they met over 22 years ago. Terrance talks about the five cities he lived in growing up. He also spoke on his love for singing and how one of his teachers crushed his confidence making him not volunteer for leadership positions throughout high school and college.

She was one of two girls who played in the 2014 Little League World Series and was the first girl to earn a win and to pitch a shutout in Little League World Series history. She was the 18th girl overall to play, the sixth to get a hit, and the first African-American girl to play in the Little League World Series.
