Jake Simpson has quite the story! This international soccer phenom came to the United States to play collegiate soccer (futbol), had a chance at the pros stateside, but ended up coaching immediately after his senior season. It is quite fascinating to hear a guy that ended up coaching his teammates. Seriously, this one is a must so dive in!

It is so exciting to hear how different everyone's story is. In this episode, we got to interview my boss! He was such a good sport, and an even better interview. Looking back, there's no wonder he became a superintendent.

Jordan Evans came through and shined light on the experiences that made him who he is today. He talked about his competitive nature, and how hating to lose on game nights, led to him hating to lose on the field. He even recounted his lowest moments on the way to being drafted in the NFL. You do not want to miss this interview. This young man stands for all the right things, so it is easy to recognize why he is so successful.

Coach Carlin Hartman (currently coaching at Oklahoma University) is set to enter Tulane University's basketball hall of fame. Hartman ended up 10th in scoring (1,180 points), 3rd in field goal percentage (52.8 percent), and 7th in career steals (146). At the turn of the last decade, Coach Hartman was named to Tulane's 1990s All-Decade Team as the university celebrated its 100-yrs of basketball. Here on HBSML, Hartman talks about his playing days as a high school player, and the decision to play at Tulane as opposed to the other offers he was getting. Once he chose Tulane, he quickly realized he made the best decision for his career. Hartman made some great strides into his professional stint before suffering a knee injury that would sideline him for good. Carlin is as resilient and respectable as they come, so he quickly rose through the coaching ranks. Poised to make his head coaching debut someday, he currently sits at Lon Kruger's right hand. There are several AAU basketball programs in the state of Oklahoma, and Oklahoma Power is among the premiere teams around. The organization is ran like a well oiled machine, and has a great track record when it comes to sending athletes to college. In the 5 years it has been around, the program has seen 25+ athletes to go on to play at multiple college levels.

I was on top of the world, then it all came crashing down. Most guys in my situation would've folded, and gone crazy. I went through the sexual assault allegations and made it through my darkest hours. Though I did not make the final roster, I played for the Denver Broncos, and I have a lot of experience to pass down to the next generation of talent.
