Dr. Stephen Pimpare

Dr. Pimpare is the founder and director of the UNH Public Service & Nonprofit Leadership program and a Faculty Fellow at the Carsey School of Public Policy. Dr. Pimpare previously served as a senior-level administrator of non-profit organizations addressing issues of poverty, hunger, and homelessness throughout New York City. One of the programs he helped to create, One City Café, New York’s first non-profit restaurant, was hailed by the New York Times as “the reinvention of the soup kitchen” and subsequently received the Victory Against Hunger Award from the U.S. Congressional Hunger Center.

Anya & Shania: The Canadian Courage Project

Join us to hear from Shania and Anya from the Canadian Courage Project, a GTA-based non-profit supporting the homeless youth population and their animal companions. The Canadian Courage Project (“CCP”) was launched by Shania and Anya in May of 2020 after seeing a gap in the current system both supporting homeless youth with animal companions and youth empowerment at the secondary level. The CCP's goal is to empower young people to strive for social impact, push boundaries in the workplace, support homeless youth, and offer services for one's animal companions.
