They serve breast cancer patients from the start of diagnosis and beyond through survivorship to support, and empower them to prioritize their mental health as a critical part of overall wellness during their recovery journey.
Her personal story with breast cancer is one that made her go from a high achieving pharmacist/educator to being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017 at 33 with a 3 yr old. She followed her treatment from starting chemo to surgery but the whole time after hearing her diagnosis she had become depressed, anxious, and hopeless. While unpacking the mental aftermath of the diagnosis with a licensed therapist, she discovered that the missing link to her recovery was mental wellness. The transformation came when she discovered the role of a certified peer mental health specialist that used a wellness recovery framework. She realized how much it helped her so she became certified herself.
Now she helps young high achievers, diagnosed with breast cancer, to identify their goals, hopes, and dreams are still achievable with the help of a mindset breast cancer coach.
