The Healthy Mind, Healthy Life (Zehne Saalim Zindagi Saalim) Podcast has been designed to tackle mental health and wellbeing issues in a way that makes sense for people from Afghanistan as they settle into life in Australia. The podcast seeks to bring to light mental health and wellbeing challenges people face at various stages in their lives, and to highlight the many supports available in the community.

Episode four is about the importance of caring for each other in our communities. It encourages listeners to connect, empathise with and help their neighbours and the people who surround them. Podcast guests Parwin and Atiq discuss with host Malahat the stigma attached to conversations about mental health in Afghan society and the shame that is often felt by community members experiencing mental health challenges.

Episode five is about the benefits in having a holistic outlook to support your mental health. The episode invites us to hear the intersecting perspectives of Jawid, a religious scholar and Dr Hina Faroqi, a psychologist who share the roles that both faith and formal psychological support can play in maintaining positive health and wellbeing.

قسمت سوم همه در مورد ذهن آگاهی و مراقبه یا میدیتیشن است، چند نکاتی برای تمرین مراقبه یا میدیتیشن، هدایت شده که هر کسی می تواند انجام دهد. ذهن آگاهی حالتی ذهنی است که در آن بر زمان حال تمرکز می کنید، بدون قضاوت ، حواس پرتی یا پریشانی افکار. در این قسمت، ملاحت و مهمانش حمیرا ،  یک مثال ساده از یک مراقبه  یا مدیتیشن هدایت شده را ارائه می دهند تا شنونده را تشویق کنند که مستقیماً به سمت تجربه مراقبه  یا میدیتیشن بپردازد واز منفعت ، ومزایای آن بهره بردارند.


Episode three is all about mindfulness and meditation, with tips for practicing guided meditation that anybody can do. Mindfulness is a mental state where you focus on the present, without judgment or distraction. In this episode, Malahat and her guest Humaira provide a simple example of a guided meditation to encourage the listener to jump straight into experiencing meditation and its benefits.
