Welcome to the Research Recharge podcast! UAH librarians Heather-Lee Byrne and Michael Manasco interview UAH faculty member Dr. Joseph Ng.
Dr. Joseph Ng is a Professor of Biological Sciences in the College of Science at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Dr. Ng received his PhD in Biochemistry from the University of California - Riverside in 1992. He has written numerous articles about biotechnology and structural biology and is the coordinator for the Biotechnology Science and Engineering Program at UAH.

Dr. Gary Zank received his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Natal in South Africa in 1987. Dr. Zank is the Aerojet-Rocketdyne Chair in Space Science and the University of Alabama Board of Trustees Trustee Professor. He is the Director of the Center for Space Plasma and Aeronomic Research (CSPAR), and Chair of the Department of Space Science (SPA) at The University of Alabama in Huntsville. He has been recognized in his field through the receipt of numerous honors and awards throughout his career, including being elected as a Member of the US National Academy of Sciences in 2016.

Dr. Andrea Word-Allbritton is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the College of Education at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Dr. Word-Allbritton has a Doctorate of Education from the University of Alabama and two masters degrees, one in English literature and one in linguistics. Her research interests include Natural Language design, critical pedagogy, and teaching English as a second language.

We are delighted to kick off this series with Dr. Dylan Baun, Assistant Professor of Modern Middle East and Islamic World History at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Dr. Baun is the author of numerous articles on the history of youth and young people in the modern Middle East. His new book is titled Winning Lebanon: Youth Politics, Populism, and the Production of Sectarian Violence, 1920-1958, published by Cambridge University Press.”
