(S6: E4) Talking Life Honestly: Managing Distractions
"you can't be mad at someone else for not managing your own distractions well" Now THAT is a one liner!
Here is the long-awaited (for me LOL) episode four; Managing Distractions that I got to record with my good friend, Jeremy C! If you listened to episode 3 then the beginning conversation of this episode makes all the sense, if you're jumping in at episode 6 (welcome), just keep listening, they aren't related :P. This was such an easy conversation to have and I am so blessed to be able to share these conversations with you all. As always, I hope you are able to pick up some gems along this conversation and if nothing else, you enjoyed this honest conversation :)
Xoxo,Helen

(S6: E2) Talking Life Honestly
EXPLICIT LANGUAGE 😂 Listen when it's a conversation with my sister, I tend to let the expletives fly a little more loosely 👀😂. This was a fun episode to edit because as you listen it was an interesting time time to record! On this episode I get the pleasure of talking with my sister, Priscilla (make sure you tell her congratulations!) We touch on a range of different life experiences from layoffs to thriving in life. I hope you really enjoy this episode and also walk away with a gem or two.
Thank you for listening!
Xoxo

(S5: E12) Talking Life Honestly: Consistency
Season 5 is a wrap 🥺. I really can't express the feeling of happiness I feel being able to wrap up this season knowing it's the fifth one; not my first, or second, but FIFTH. I really am out here--a real-ass podcaster and love it! I realized that my consistency has really paved the way for me and has allowed me to be successful in so many different ways that I wasn't aware of.
I want to THANK YOU for listening, sharing, providing feedback, whatever your role was in supporting me and this podcast, THANK YOU.
Until Next Season

(S5: E11) Seasons
(S5: E10) Black Men & Women
Let me start off by saying LOVE is LOVE; I support all LOVE. I also want to encourage black love, black support, black reciprocity, and that's the point of this specific episode. Now, it's the way this episode is so good from beginning to end AND it's my longest one to date. In this episode I had the pleasure of speaking with Parris about the relationship between black men and black women. This conversation was a genuine back and forth of honesty and I don't think I could have chosen a better guest to have this conversation. As always, I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did and if nothing else, you were able to take a way some good gems.
(S5: E9): Multifaceted
Anotha one! I will always be humbled by my guest wanting genuinely to be on the podcast. ️ In this episode I get the pleasure of talking to Deion who is a very talented brotha with his hands in different pots which is what we talk about: being multifaceted. One thing I really love is being able to talk about the same topic yet not, ya know? Deion takes us on his journey through his different businesses and some challenges and successes that he has gone through being in different spaces. We keep it honest and always, I'm grateful to have guests who come ready to share, authentically and also educate me on things they enjoy. I really hope you guys were able to grab some gems and if nothing else, enjoy the good vibes! Make sure you check out Deion's linktr.ee.

(S5: E7) Talking Life Honestly: What Is Love?
Another amazing episode in the books! I promise I try to keep them under an hour but sometimes the convo be too good! On this episode I get the pleasure of talking with Taffiney--soon to be licensed as a Marriage & Family therapist! If there is one thing you need to know about me: imma always follow the good vibes especially when it can be with a strong woman. We get to talk about what we think love is from a multitude of lenses and let me say, I really enjoyed recording this episode! Self love will always be the best love and the strongest foundation for any of us ❤️. As always I hope you were able to pick up a gem or two and if nothing else, enjoyed the episode!

(S5:E5) Talking Life Honestly: Beauty
Another episode recorded and this one is a solo one! I don't know why recording solo makes me more nervous than recording with a guest haha. In this episode I talk about Beauty and being a woman. Recently I've thought a lot on this topic and thought it would be a good topic to do solo to just get my unfiltered thoughts out. I bounce around a little from beauty, to sex, to holding ourselves to a higher standard in general. Fun fact: I normally don't edit too much when recording a solo episode; so you will hear my train of thought authentically in this episode :D. I hope you were able to grab some gems in this episode and if nothing else, enjoyed it!Thank you for your continued support :D

(S5: E3) Talking Life Honestly: Self-Awareness
And we got another one in the books! In this episode, I get the pleasure of talking with Berrin, who was on Season TWO (can we say time flies?!). I may or may not have changed the topic just a smidgen on Berrin 🤣 and we still made a good episode with gems galore to choose from. We speak on self-awareness and core needs in a relationship in the most honest way: through genuine conversation. The range of this episode touches on communication all the way to understanding your partner's sexual needs. I hope you were able to pick up gems from this episode and if nothing else, enjoyed this episode!
Honestlyhelen Shenanigans: July is here!
(S5: E2) Talking Life Honestly: Boundaries
Another dope episode in the books! In this episode I get to touch on some boundaries with my good girl Tania, host of Notoriousmomzthepodcast (make sure you give her a follow on all platforms!) We talk: kids, parents, and partners and how our boundaries (or lack thereof) has impacted us. I hope you picked up some good gems in this episode, but if nothing else I hope you enjoyed this episode!

(S4:E11) Talking Life Honestly: Suicide in the Black Community
Whew, another one in the books! As you can tell from the title, it's one of those episodes that you may have to plan to listen to cause it gets a little deep, quick 😂. I get to welcome back Dr. Kimya to the Podcast for this episode who is such pleasure to talk to in addition to being so knowledgable about Black people as a whole. We touch on a lot of things as it relates to Black people and health, especially with how we look at Suicide. Mental Health is a subject that I feel strongly about and will always find a way to talk about it on this Podcast and so I hope you enjoyed this episode as much as I enjoyed recording it and able to pick up some gems that were dropped.
If you or anyone you know needs to talk to someone about suicide or suicidal thoughts, please know you can dial 988 on a phone and get connected to a Professional.
You are a badass, always!
Love ya❤️
