You Know Me and Everyone We Know (w/ Pippa Molony)
This week we are joined by Pippa Molony, an actor, filmmaker and theatre-maker based in Dublin.
Pippa studies at the National Film School, IADT and is a past member of the National Youth Theatre Ensemble, Dublin Youth Theatre and Youth Theatre Ireland’s ‘ARTiculate’ and Young Critics programmes. She is currently a member of the Irish ‘Be SpectActive’ programme with Dublin Theatre Festival and her writing has been performed as part of Dublin Youth Theatre Member's One Act Play Festival (2018, 2020).
Pippa has performed in notable productions such as 'Ask Too Much Of Me' by Dylan Coburn Gray (Abbey Theatre, 2019) and ‘All I Believed Happened There Was Vision’ by Frank Sweeney (AEMI, St Patrick’s Festival 2020). Her most recent film, ‘Clara’s Room’ won the Inaugural First Frame Award (2020) at the Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival, and has since screened at a large number of national and international film festivals, for which she wrote and directed. Pippa is interested in making work that challenges audiences and addresses questions of identity, morality and transgression.

This week we are joined by Bella Roberts to discuss the topic of Relating Online. Bella is an aspiring editor and filmmaker who is currently in her final year at film school. She's had training at the BFI Future Film Academy, London Film Academy and through making her own short films and documentaries. She loves documentary and narrative filmmaking but ultimately what is most important to her regardless of genre is the story.

The 40-Year-Old Version: Coming of Age (w/ Helen Selka)
Helen is a documentary filmmaker whose work has been screened at film festivals in Ireland and the UK. She sees documentary as an exploration of what it means to be human. She uses digital video to create intimate portraits of people and everyday life, and her work is informed by her acting training at RADA.
As well as making films, she sits on the board of the Women Over 50 in Film Festival, and mentors other documentary filmmakers.

Girlhood: Becoming (w/ Lia Campbell)
This week we welcome filmmaker, Lia Campbell, onto the podcast to discuss the theme of Becoming.
Based in Belfast and Dublin, Lia is an Irish-German filmmaker working in fiction and documentary. A graduate from the IADT National Film School, Dún Laoghaire, her previous work has reflected on national identity, isolation, gender roles and how we define belonging. Her fictional debut ‘To All My Darlings’ won the Audience Award for best short film at the Virgin media Dublin International Film Festival 2021 and was shortlisted for a GSA BAFTA award 2021. Lia was the Northern Irish participant for the Scottish Documentary Institute's ‘Bridging the Gap’ scheme and her short film ‘Run With Her’, produced by Walk On Air Films and funded by N.I Screen and Screen Scotland, will premiere at this year’s Edinburgh Film Festival 2021. Her previous short documentary ‘Polaroid Boys’ was part of the official selection for Docs Ireland 2020. Lia currently works as the production assistant for Dumb world Ltd - an artistic-led creative production company.

Now and Then: Passing the Torch (W/Phoebe Moore)
On episode 2 of our podcast, we'll be joined by former Programme Manager of HERIFF, Phoebe Moore:
Phoebe is an actor and Youth Arts facilitator from Tipperary, based in Dublin. She holds a B.A. in Theatre and Sociology from Trinity College, Dublin which informed her interest in using art for social change. For the past four years she has worked in an interdisciplinary capacity within theatre, film and creative writing. She toured as an actor with the Theatre in Education company Educo Italia in 2018 and is employed by the Centre of Talented Youth Ireland (CTYI), in partnership with Dublin City University, with whom she designs and delivers creative courses for 8-18 year old's. She was a featured artist in the 2021 Cruinniú na nÓg Programme and the founder of SONDER, a website and hosting space which serves as a platform for young people’s reviews, opinions and creative work. Phoebe hopes to engage further with climate action through art and film.
