April 21, 2024 - People Who Shouldn't Be in Church // James 2:1-13
Most Christians would loudly say that church is for everyone, but the Bible is very clear that certain behaviors don't belong in church. The one that James is concerned about in chapter 2? Partiality. What does it mean to treat some people better than others and why is it such a big deal? -- Sermon by Pastor Nate Click -- New to Heritage? Want to get more involved? February 25, 2024 - The Word in the World // Acts 17
In Acts 17, three cities receive and respond to the Gospel in vastly different ways. Thessalonica is mostly hostile, Berea is mostly receptive, and Athens is mostly curious. These responses are very similar to how the Word of God is received today. So how does Paul preach to a mix of people and their varied responses to the Gospel of Jesus. -- Sermon by Pastor Nate Click -- New to Heritage? Want to get more involved?
