Brahmagupta was one of the greatest mathematicians in Indian history and his contributions to mathematics and science have made major differences to various mathematical problems by establishing the basic rules which now allow us to find their solutions. His teachings of the property “zero” influenced work in modern thermodynamics. Brahmagupta, in some ways, was a man born out of time in the way he looked at early math and astronomy.

 India’s freedom struggle had seen many freedom fighters over the years, but the name of Rani Lakshmibai stands out among them. Lakshmibai, the Rani of the princely state of Jhansi, was a brave and fearless woman who fought courageously against the British and eventually lost her life in battle on June 18th 1858 in Gwalior.

Episode 01 - Ashoka The Great

Samrat Ashoka was the third ruler of the illustrious Maurya dynasty and one of the most powerful kings of the Indian subcontinent in ancient times. His rule between 273 BC and 232 B.C. was one of the most prosperous periods in the history of India. Ashoka reigned over a kingdom that stretched from the Hindu Kush mountains in Afghanistan in the west to the modern state of Bangladesh in the east. While initially he was infamous for his cruelty and barbarism on the war-field, later he converted to Buddhism and thereafter established a reign of virtue.
