I want to Thank the Trainer & IFBB Bodybuilder Greg Doucette for his content on genetic and mental toughness. There is a small population of individuals who have mental toughness beyond pain and is not fair to expect it from some who do not have it. But, we are not passing out trophies for last place.
My son and I went on a 2.50 mile run and bike ride in the pouring rain. I want thank my son for being the warrior he is about the discipline to training. My young man allowed me to make a deposit into my mental bank.
The coronavirus is exposing the strengths and weaknesses of this world. Sadly, it has taking a virus that does not discriminate to make the playing field even. Prepare yourself mentally...only the mentally strong will survive.

I contemplated leaving the Fitness profession and not renewing my certification. But, I have had some great conversations and I heard a short clip of a Mike Rashid interview. It is time to elevate the mental mindset of the profession.

Take 100 pieces of paper and write on them the pros and cons of someone’s behavior. Then take those 100 notes and throw at the person like confetti. If what is on the paper is true, do not be mad at the messenger.
There seems to be this ongoing perception that men are threatened by successful women. I am sorry to inform you, but that is not true. A lot of immature “boys”. will be intimidated, but not a Man. Holler at the Heroes if you require clarification.
Intelligence is useless without compassion, consideration and common sense. I figured it out early in my life, but I still see some who think they are so smart. But, they are con artists who can not hide.
Too often words are used against African Americans, particularly men to negate our humanity. The Alpha males in the community are not toxic, they are frustrated with not having a place to achieve Greatness.
Some want to blame social media for the lack of good training form and gym etiquette. In a time when a picture or video can make anyone a 1 second star. The question becomes is traditional training dead?
You should re-assess and evaluate everything you do. From your health, to your personal and professional relationships. Look at where you are right now and if you are unsatisfied begin to research and execute changes.
It is not what you think. I heard a great interview of Gary Vee and he said something that resonated with me. To succeed you can not be concerned with what people say and think of you. You...You have to be self aware and not give damn what people think.
I said a long time ago I was either going to be part of the problem or be a solution. I chose solution not knowing how. A big Thanks goes out to Anchor for this platform and opportunity to define my purpose. You ask what is my purpose? It is to destroy the stereotypes of men of color & replace it with a new narrative.
The Black Panther Movie is not just a movie about a comic book character. All media is programming with a narrative. It either tells a lie or tell the truth. Sometimes you have to replant a seed, removed the weeds to give birth to a new paradigm.
