Heroes Of The Galaxy

Welcome back to another Cantina episode of 'Heroes of the Galaxy'! This is where we typically have some drinks and talk all things 'Star Wars' that have happened recently. However, in this episode, Kelsey and Alani decided to do a deep-dive in 'WandaVision,' aka one of the best fandom moments of the year (if not the best). 

In this episode, which (as you can tell) is only Part 1 of our conversation, Alani and Kelsey discuss The Emmys ('WandaVision' was nominated 23 times), their initial thoughts going into the season, Disney+'s weekly release schedule, and more. They also talk about some fan theories that didn't happen and Agatha aka the wonderful Kathryn Hahn. 

We, [un]fortunately, talked way too long, resulting in a Part 2 coming your way soon, in which the 'Heroes of the Galaxy' ladies touch on the dreaded topic of grief, trauma, and why Elizabeth Olsen did something extraordinary with this role.

In our newest installment of our beloved 'Clone Wars' recap, Heroes of the Galaxy is changing things up. Instead of Alani taking the listener (and her co-host) on a journey through an arc of the first season, we've moved onto Season 2, and Alani and Kelsey discuss the full season all at once. Kelsey has seen it already, so this makes for a fun discussion of our favorite themes, metaphors, moments, and more! Still working on a fun name though ;)

In this episode's 'The Clone Wars' Season 2 rundown, Alani and Kelsey talk about Ahsoka and Anakin's similarities, Barris Offee's introduction, and the long-awaited arrival of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Satine (yes, yes that is a 'Moulin Rouge' pun in the title, thank you for noticing). There's also some more discussion on why we're fine with fanservice (and when it's not so great) and the Zilobeast's modern-day parallel to imperialism. It's a kid's show, after all!

It's still quite similar and we're basically the same, but Alani's joined by the lovely Kelsey Barnes as the new, permanent co-host. In this episode, we get back into the galaxy far, far away [;)] by introducing Kelsey and hosting a Heroes Cantina, our monthly segment where we catch up on Star Wars news, updates, and generally chat pop culture.

In the Cantina portion of this episode, Kelsey and Alani discuss Felicity Jones's love of her character Jyn Erso and a possible return? Also, we gush about the highly anticipated Obi-Wan Kenobi series, which has us very emotional. And lastly, we chat about the finale of The Mandalorian, why we loved Luke Skywalker's cameo, and what we hope to see on Mandalore come Season 3.
