Unconventional Parenting
Episode 11 is entitled #UnconventionalParenting, this episode sparked from a comment Chelsea Hicks made on #LoveAfterLoss, she states that as a Step Parent you have to love your step children just a little bit more than you love your biological children, and I felt that... I felt that because I had a Step Mother my whole life, and while she may have felt she was giving me love my whole life, I didn’t feel it until I was 17. I love her dearly and unconditional now, but it wasn’t always like that. I can only imagine the pressure some may feel as a step parent, the need to over compensate, or the disconnect you might feel since this is not your bio child. Everyone has there story, there own unique situations and that’s what’s told via Episode 11 on #kickinitwitkee! I hope you all can enjoy, learn from it and respect our truths.
