30 Years of Caring with Georgia Fojtasek - TMI?
Georgia Fojtasek, RN, President and Chief Executive Officer of Henry Ford Allegiance Health (HFAH) joined HFAH in 1989, serving as senior vice president and chief operating officer until 1994, when she became president and CEO.
Ms. Fojtasek received her diploma in nursing from the Hotel Dieu School of Nursing, El Paso, TX. She holds a BA with honors in Sociology and MA in education from the University of Texas, El Paso. She earned an EdD in higher education from Texas Tech University.
Ms. Fojtasek serves on the Michigan Hospital Association (MHA) Foundation Board. She is a past chair of the MHA Board and the VHA Central Region Board and served as a delegate to the American Hospital Association Region 5 Policy Board.
A past chair of the Jackson Community Foundation, Ms. Fojtasek is now serves on its Board Development Committee. She also serves on the Board and Leadership Advisory Council of the Enterprise Group for regional economic development, for which she is past chair. Her professional passion centers on the role that health systems play in community vitality through health improvement especially for vulnerable populations.
5K Challenge - TMI?
The 5K Challenge is a 10-week program to get you moving toward better health and fitness. The program is designed to prepare you to walk or run a 5K at the Henry Ford Allegiance Race to Health on Saturday, September 21.
To keep participants motivated, there will be sessions on fitness and healthy eating, weekly health tips, and special speakers. Best-selling author Joe Piscatella, who designs and facilitates community wellness programs, will provide guidance during the program.
Join the 5K Challenge Facebook Group to facilitate sharing information and forming walking and running groups. Participants can use this supportive space to encourage each other along their health and fitness journeys and hold each other accountable.
