One Hitters #2 featuring Alex Nolan @ Living Things and Hannah Hayes @ Confident Cannabis

Living Things is Oregon’s original aquaculture cannabis farm, using living fertilizer from fish and beneficial bugs to grow their cannabis. That means no liquid fertilizers or pesticides touch their plants. This family-owned farm has been in the industry for over 13 years.

Confident Cannabis Sales Manager, Hannah Hayes, had the opportunity to chat with Alex Noland, founder of Living Things on the latest episode of “High on Our Own Supply” by Confident Cannabis, to share the story of how his unique cannabis business came to be and what the benefits of aquaculture are.

This is our Covid-19 Special on how cannabis producers are handling shifts in the supply chain to address the crisis. Unlike other episodes, we interviewed three different producers in California: from a boutique chocolate company in SoCal, to the biggest edibles brand in California, to the largest producer of all products in Santa Rosa.

We dig deep into how the supply chain is responding to the Coronavirus crisis. We discuss all the trends we learned in our Retailers special, as well as how cannabis companies are reacting and responding to the Black Lives Matter movement happening across the country.

Topics:

  • What is life for your company like during Covid?
  • What have been the most interesting trends you’ve seen in the last 3-4 weeks?
  • How is the supply chain acting differently or responding to our new paradigm?
  • What have been your biggest challenges during this crisis?
  • What do you think life will be like post-Covid for cannabis companies?

Our Guests:

Sara Adams, CEO, Mindset Organics

Jake Heimark, CEO / Co-founder, Plus Products

James Rowan, Director Major Brands, Cannacraft

This is our Covid-19 Special on how cannabis retail businesses are handling shifts in the supply chain to address the crisis. Unlike other episodes, we interviewed three different retail companies in California: from a dispensary in Santa Rosa doing curbside pickup, to a members-only delivery service headquartered in the Bay Area, to a boutique retail and delivery chain in Los Angeles.

We dig deep into how the supply chain is responding to the Coronavirus crisis. We don’t focus on all the things everyone already knows, like that sales are up or that edibles are all the rage. We discussed what is happening in between those things, including covering a product category trend that I did not see coming.
