According to the official visitor arrivals data published by Hong Kong Tourism Board in November 2020, a drastic drop of 99.8% visitors (approximately only 6,000 visitors in total) are recorded compared to a year ago. DNA是生命的藍圖。它使我們所有人彼此之間有所不同！簡單來說，DNA 在指令細胞製造蛋白質。人類的行為、外表、情緒變化、智力和疾病均受基因序列控制。了解DNA編碼系統有助於研究人員開發更多藥物，例如抗癌藥物和疫苗，從而挽救更多生命。

DNA is a blueprint for life. It makes us all different from one another! In simple terms, DNA contains the instructions for making proteins within the cell. Human behavior, appearance, emotional change, intelligence, and disease occurrence are controlled by DNA sequence. Understanding the DNA coding system helps researchers to develop pharmaceutical products such as cancer drugs and vaccines which could save more human lives.

Hong Kong’s distinctively vertical and volumetric cityscape is often portrayed as a futuristic, dystopian jianghu in foreign sci-fi films and video games. This talk will investigate how Hong Kong’s signature high-density architecture and urban designs fuel the imagination of the future in the West. With Hong Kong’s cityscape as the backdrop, the future is often imagined to be a (post-)apocalyptic jianghu, the “river and lake” where people at the margins of society struggle to survive.
