Rob is a stage comedy hypnotist who uses similar techniques from his work to develop and train his very own mindset. Founder of Success Unlocked, Rob has recently turned a new leaf to begin helping people, not through hypnotherapy, but instead through mindset management and confidence building, both things that have helped him on his own self development journey.

S1, Ep10: The Turning 30 Coach- “Put your middle finger up at society"

S1, Ep10: The Turning 30 Coach- “Put your middle finger up at society"

A very special episode where I have the privilege of talking to the Turning 30 Coach. Emma Wilson studied psychology and law with the aim of becoming a lawyer, but it wasn’t long before she realised that it couldn’t be further from what she really wanted out of life.
Emma began working as a career coach which is where the penny dropped. Many people in their twenties had approached Emma with a similar feeling of not being on the right path, and with their big 30th birthday approaching these feelings were becoming more and more prevalent.
Emma has since built a community of people and works hard to support them in their growth and transition from their twenties to their thirties.

If you have ever wondered what life coaching is all about and how you can benefit from it, then this is the episode for you!

Have you ever wondered what the law of attraction is all about and if it actually works?

This story is proof that mindset is everything. It doesn’t matter what age you start, if you’re passionate about something you should go for it and use the law of attraction to help you.

Gemma spent her twenties jobless, and as a single parent to her daughter Lexi.
Lexi was diagnosed with a rare disease by the age of two and shortly after, Gemma’s father was diagnosed with cancer. Her twenties were a battle to say the least, until coming across a book that changed her mindset forever. Gemma now runs her very own successful wedding and events business.

S1,Ep7: "Don't be a duck"

S1,Ep7: "Don't be a duck"

We could all do with a laugh, especially at this time, during covid-19. Tune in for a light hearted listen with myself and stand-up comedian, Elliott Powell. We discuss the many graduate open days and jobs that we’ve all found ourselves doing after leaving uni and how after being institutionalised until your early twenties, can leave you feeling a bit overwhelmed when you're then left to fend for yourself.

Elliott talks us through his ‘wanky traveller dude’ days and his comical stories of his first ever stand up gigs.

Listen out for the metaphorical duck story, to find out why being a duck can hold you back in life.

I may have left a few ‘raw’ bits in this one. Enjoy.

S1, Ep6 "Losing a leg isn't the end of the world"

Join me as I interview Veteran and amputee Paul Findlay, on exactly the 11th anniversary of his accident, completely by coincidence.

In this episode of How to Survive your Twenties, Paul talks about his motivation behind joining the military at such a young age, and how his life changed drastically after being involved in an IED explosion, that led to having his leg amputated. Not only did he lose his leg that day, but his entire career which he was so passionate about.
This story is proof that anything can happen, and that life can change so quickly, it’s how we adapt to it that counts.

Paul is a veteran support worker for the UK charity Blesma. He also volunteers for the NHS and team rubicon.

S1, Ep5 "If you're having a tough time, put on a cheesy song and rock out"

The most open and honest interview I’ve done yet. In this episode, Jake discusses his addictions to drugs and alcohol and how he has battled with his mental health from a young age. I dig deep to find the ins and outs to what led him down that path.

I find myself lost for words as we go on to discuss Jake’s late girlfriend, TV presenter and YouTuber Emily Hartridge. Emily used her social media to speak about her mental health publicly, and encouraged Jake to do the same.

In this interview, we get down to the nitty gritty; addictions, grief and mental health, oh and there may be a slight mention of poo in there too- just to lighten the mood a bit!

If we are all in a rush to find our purpose, then what's the bloody point in this journey we're on!? In our twenties, we tend to feel lost and in a rush to make something of ourselves, but shouldn't it be the opposite of that? Shouldn't our twenties be the time to explore and try out new jobs!?

On this episode of How to Survive Your Twenties, Sam joins me to talk about her career. Sam worked as a Paralegal following what she thought was her passion in criminal law, to slowly find out that her passion laid elsewhere. Sam shares with us how she found herself almost by accident landing her dream role as an Occupational Therapist, but it wasn't always so straight forward. Initially she faced difficulties whilst studying for her degree, until she found the root cause of her struggles - dyslexia and "fell in love with learning for the first time."

Just goes to show that with a little bit of perseverance and self belief you can find yourself anywhere!
