Ep. 65 - The Jonestown Massacre [Cult] - Part 4

What comes to mind when you think of a cult? Is it “Don’t drink the Kool-Aid?” Did you know this seemingly innocuous saying resulted from a massacre that was the second largest loss of life of American citizens in history? I am talking, of course, about the Jonestown Massacre that took place in Guyana, South America in November 1978. What happens when a man who originally set out to change the world for the better lets the power go to his head and drugs and sex corrupt his vision and morals?

Join Arielle and Amanda in part 4 of a 4 part series as they try to decipher how Jim Jones went from small-town preacher to a self-proclaimed Prophet that led almost 1,000 of his followers to their deaths in Jonestown, Guyana.

Ep. 37 - Steven Brian Pennell [Serial Killer]

In the late 1980s, New Castle County, Delaware’s residents came face-to-face with evil when someone began murdering women in their small county. Authorities quickly realized they were dealing with a serial killer. Local officers were aware they were ill-equipped to handle a massive hunt for a serial killer, so they created a task force and called in the FBI as backup. This task force worked tirelessly until the murderer was brought to justice. They utilized many tactics including a “decoy” operation, surveillance of a suspect, suspect profiling, and much more. Join Arielle and Amanda as they discuss the circumstances surrounding the heinous crimes of a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Ep. 35 - Ralph Bell [Mysterious]

In 2018, 24-year-old Ralph Latrez Bell had so much going for him and so much to look forward to: a loving family, two little girls, a son on the way, as well as plans of furthering his education and eventually starting a business. Unfortunately, all of Ralph’s aspirations would come to a grinding halt when he disappeared from his Stillwater, Minnesota, apartment in late December 2018. Just one hour later, Ralph’s vehicle was found abandoned in a cul de sac in a neighboring town. Following his disappearance, Ralph’s family and friends spent an agonizing three months tirelessly searching for him but their efforts were unsuccessful until March 2019 when Ralph’s body was located just a mile from where his car was found. The medical examiner quickly ruled Ralph’s death a suicide; however, there are many indications that this wasn’t the case. In the almost 18 months since the discovery of Ralph’s body, Ralph’s family has fought for justice but have met many road blocks including: inconsistent witness stories, questionable police work, prematurely destroyed evidence, and an overall disregard for Ralph’s life.

Join Arielle and Amanda as they discuss the details of the mysterious disappearance and death of Ralph Bell as well as Ralph’s family’s continuing fight for justice.

After recuperating, Linda found herself in the hospital yet again, just six months later. One year after her first hospital stay, Linda, a once healthy woman, unexpectedly died.
