Episode 5: "Lost" w/ MC REN (NWA) & THA CHILL (Compton's Most Wanted)

On behalf of Crazy Hood Productions "HOODtalks Podcast". In this episode of HOODtalks Jae Havana talks with Hip Hop Recording Artists MC Ren from NWA and Tha Chill from Compton's Most Wanted) When you think of the West Coast, realize that it’s more than chronic and palm trees. We have a rich history of  cultures that have united in The Golden State and have flourished on  this California soil. The culture of West Coast Hip-Hop has been one of them. Standing tall amongst Hip-Hops elite and globally influential N.W.A. and Compton’s Most Wanted became icons. Tha Chill from CMW and MC Ren from NWA became legendary for their artistic creativity but it was their authenticity that influenced their passion for music. Today MC Ren and Tha Chill collaborated on their most recent release titled “Lost” we spoke about it, in this Crazy Hood Exclusive Interview. We hope you enjoy this new episode of HOODtalks | The Sh*ts Worth Hearing.

Here’s my conversation with MC Ren and Tha Chill

Episode 4: "Jason Soto Was Here" w/ COOKBOOK

Episode 4: "Jason Soto Was Here" w/ COOKBOOK

Episode 4 -  On behalf of Crazy Hood Productions "HOODtalks Podcast". In this episode of HOODtalks Jae Havana talks with Hip Hop Recording Artist CookBook. Cook started his career as a member of the Christian Rap group L.A. Symphony and working with producers like Prince Paul and Will I Am, to name a few.

As the group evolved, CookBook and other members of the group developed as solo artists. Throughout his career, CookBook has released multiple solo and collaborative projects. His latest solo album, also being his last, titled Jason Soto Was Here.

CookBook has had success reinventing himself, originally creating the Podcast “Really Tho?!?” CookBook has found new success creating and hosting the hit podcast "Felipe’s Garage".  For this interview we had the chance to speak with CookBook prior to the release of this album.

To fully understand the title of the album we have to learn where Cooks journey started, in the garage of his father Felipe, how he rose to fame as part of L.A. Symphony, stayed true to himself as a solo artist by creating music he loved, reinventing himself as a Podcaster and has created a legacy for his family, friends and fans to be proud of.

We hope you enjoy this new episode of HOODtalks | The Sh*ts Worth Hearing.

Episode 3: "The Execution of X-Raided" w/ X-RAIDED (aka ANERAÉ VeSHAUGHN)

Episode 3: "The Execution of X-Raided" w/ X-RAIDED (aka ANERAÉ VeSHAUGHN)

Episode 3 -  On behalf of Crazy Hood Productions "HOODtalks Podcast". In this episode of HOODtalks Jae Havana talks with Hip Hop Recording Artist Aneraé VeShaughn also known as X-RAIDED. A former 24th Street Garden Blocc Crip, X-Raided was arrested in 1992 along with four other men in connection with a home invasion that turned deadly. The arrest came on eve of the release of his first solo album Psycho Active. X-Raided was ultimately sentenced to 31 years to life, of which he served 26 years before being released on parole.  Some would say this was bigger than hip-hop and you might be right. But it was hip-hop among other things that kept Aneraé sane.  Although he spent over two decades in prison that did not stop him from releasing over 25 projects, 13 of which being solo records.  I had the opportunity to talk with Aneraé just a couple months after his release from prison and on the eve of the release of his 14th solo album “The Execution of X-Raided”. Here’s my conversation with Aneraé VeShaughn also known as X-Raided.
