HOPE CAST

Naaman was a great man with his master, and because of him, the Lord gave them victory. But interestingly, he was a leper. He suffered from leprosy and needed healing. In verse 11, he was angry with the message sent from the prophet Elisha to him. And he disobeyed because he had a preconceived notion of obeying the prophet. The attitude of "I thought" has kept many miracles away from men. We are not to direct God on the process He should take us on healing, prosperity and all sort of breakthroughs. Many people have lost good men because they didn’t see them in the way they perceived them to have come. Many have lost a contract or business opportunity because they didn’t see the men that came up to them in a Porsche or Lamborghini rather than in an Uber or taxi. When you have a preconceived way of obeying, you are on the verge of missing your visitation.

Abiding in Christ is a total surrender to His ways. It is a two-way thing; if you abide in me, I will abide in you. No branch can bear fruit of itself, except it remains in the vine. You can never experience overflow unless you are connected and planted at the source. You cannot have life in abundance unless you are connected to the source of life, the giver of breath. Abiding in Him means to obey his command. That’s all God demands of us. Men apart from Christ have no life or fruitfulness. To be in union with Christ is to obey Him. There is no other way of abiding in Him. Abide in Christ and in Christ, and you will be fruitful.

With regards to those sins, we need the Holy Spirit to reveal them to us before we can repent and be more intimate with God.

One important area to look at in order to help you keep yourself pure, is to regularly clear sin out of your life and to ask God to constantly search your heart and show you the areas that you need to deal with sin in order to truly enjoy life in the Lord. Confess your sins honestly and frequently, repent from them, and embrace God's forgiveness and grace to keep growing in faith. Expect that the more you submit every part of your life to God the more of His wisdom He will reveal to you and the more you will see the Lord’s glory in your life.

He did so immediately, without delay or procrastination. The longer we delay, the more reluctant we are to comply with God’s requirements for our movement with the Father. Delay is dangerous to our spiritual lives and can lead to the hardening of our heart at God’s directives. Delay can also be disobedience to our Father in heaven. Procrastination can evidence a lack of heart for God’s call and a lack of concern for God’s glory and God’s people. In Psalm 119:60, I hastened and did not delay to keep Thy commandments. He did so with confidence showing faith in the Lord and courage to tackle the task that lay before him. Such an immediate response shows faith in the Word and confidence in the Lord. Again, he did so with a clear understanding of what they faced. This brings out the element of his courage even more. By his own experience he understood what they faced, for forty years earlier, he was one of twelve spies who had been sent to search out the land. He could have remembered with pessimism the negative report of the ten and anticipated the same kind of response from the new generation. But Joshua’s eyes were fixed on the Lord.

As such, as our bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit, we have to know what we welcome into our temple, it must be kept full for the Lord and it must feed daily on the Lord’s food which is the word of God. Whenever a believer begins to turn away from the Word through indifference or apathy for whatever reason, he is turning away from the Lord into defeat. Joshua’s commission comes only after the death of Moses (vrs. 1-2). The commissioning of Joshua was for the continuation of God’s purposes to move Israel into the land of grace and of goodness. The Lord is saying, get out of the desert and move on into Canaan. God’s will for us believers is never in the wilderness. It is in Canaan, the place of deliverance and of hope. People of God arise, take up your armor, use your supernatural resources, stop trusting in yourself, trust in the Lord and move out.

Learn to keep rejoicing, to keep on celebrating, because the attitude of gratitude will eventually bring you to your deliverance of peace, joy and love. The time has come for us all in the Body of Christ to learn this lesson of having a mindset of gratitude in all things. Just make it a habit to say thank you unto the Lord each time you face a problem. Simply look up to God and say thank you. Your victory will only be when you learn to give full gratitude to the Father in heaven, and you can smile because through Christ, we are always victorious. Pray and thank the Lord Jesus through whom you can face any adversity.

We tend to forget to give thanks for each and every grace in our lives, so the leader and follower of Jesus Christ must strive to be watchful and thankful in all matters of live. He therefore calls us to consciously give thanks to God for His abundant provision and marvelous promises we have. Even in times of sorrow or trials, there is always a reason to be grateful and thankful to the Lord.

When God tells us how to resolve our problems, have faith and just believe what he tells you to do, we must act per the Lord’s specification, or we will never experience His victory for our lives. Pray and ask the Lord to show you His way.

However, our reason for worshipping should not be because we are in a good mood and feel like it, we should give all out because we have been called to worship in thanksgiving (Vs 1 and 2). Moreso, we should not refrain from worship because we are not in a good mood. We should worship because God is worthy to be given all forms of worship. No matter what we are going through, God merits our worship. Sometimes, before you begin to worship, your problems can seem very big. However, as you worship God and think about His glory, power, splendor and love, you realize that God is greater and mightier than your problems.

Let’s know this today that our salvation is not based on our efforts but on the grace the good Lord has given to us freely. Grace is the expression of God’s divine love and kindness to the undeserving like you and I. God sent His Son Jesus to die in our place so we will have life in Him. All we need to do is to believe and take Jesus Christ as our Lord, and we will be enjoying the Lord’s grace for our lives. Remember, Jesus Loves you than you think of yourself so take that full step and come to Jesus Christ today, Amen

His promise of protection does not keep us from hearing and seeing trouble around us and his promise of protection keeps us even in times of troubles and turbulence. God’s presence goes with us along the paths of danger and uncertainty. To live a happy life in this turbulent world, you must be constantly aware of God’s presence and boldly claim God’s protection over yourself and that of your family. You must also bypass your fears and commit all your ways to the Lord. When fear knocks at your door, let faith answer through the words of the Lord you have in you for the day. In the name of Jesus, pray and claim God’s promises of safety and protection for yourself and your family.

So, in the name of Jesus, pray and lay hold of every promise and privilege the Lord has made available to you as a citizen of His kingdom. Claim it for your children, wife, husband, church and nation. May the Lord’s promise of your life come true for you today, Amen

God is like that to us, opening doors for our good so we will affect others around. God is always opening doors for us everyday in our daily walk with him. Everyday of our lives, we wake up to a new opportunity to positively affect others who come our way. As followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, we are all under a commission to affect lives with the grace we have. We have been given the assignment by the Almighty God to get the Gospel to every person on the face of the earth. It is not a matter of choice; we are under obligation lets do it to glorify Our Father, Amen

The apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthians and told them about the door the Lord has opened for him to spread the Lord’s Word. God is like that to us, opening doors for our good so we will affect others around. God is always opening doors for us everyday in our daily walk with him. Everyday of our lives, we wake up to a new opportunity to positively affect others who come our way. As followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, we are all under a commission to affect lives with the grace we have. We have been given the assignment by the Almighty God to get the Gospel to every person on the face of the earth. It is not a matter of choice; we are under obligation lets do it to glorify Our Father, Amen

We read that Joshua told the Israelites to throw away the gods and serve God faithfully, same applies today. Papa Joshua is making the same statement to us today. Is there a god that you need to lay down, a god that will prevent you from living out your God-given potential and destiny? As for today, try all you can to throw away that god that is not doing neither you nor your family any good, and come to Jesus Christ, the faithful man of all time. Do you place God above everything? Are you willing to lay everything that is important and valuable to you down at the foot of the cross to serve Him? If your answer is “yes”, then exchange your ways for Him NOW AND YOU WILL BE SAVED. The Lord is faithful whenever we say YES to his call, and as we serve Him with all our hearts, He will bless us beyond our wildest imagination, Amen.

The enemy’s plan is to persuade you to think of, say or do something that will move you out of God's will and plan for your life. The enemy studies your natural weaknesses and preys on your past mistakes. Nonetheless, you are safe so long as you rely on the Holy Spirit's strength. Trying to handle it yourself, you will lose everything. Just learn to call unto Jesus Christ morning, afternoon and evening and stand in the authority of Christ and in the power of His Holy Word.

David talks about sitting on your bed when you are angry. In that position of meditation, you have the opportunity to search your heart and get it right with God no matter what the problem will be. David knew how hurtful our words and actions can be when we let them control us. He also knew that when those moments of anger and frustration strike, the best option is to take time out and come unto the Lord (Ps 4:3, 5). If all of us choose this way of David, we will be able to deflect a lot of the hurtful and angry thoughts that cloud our thinking in times of pain. May the good Lord give us the Heart full of thanksgiving, so we will always offer the right sacrifices at the right time of our daily walk with Christ, Amen
