Kubrick called this film the most terrifying he had ever seen, yet there’s some debate as to whether it’s a horror - or just horrifying.

Anya’s modelling is intensely scary and sexy all at once - she’s dedicated to capturing the perfect spooky shot, even if it means heading into abandoned buildings and (unknowingly) possibly active crime scenes. Her style preferences were also reflected in her FFO of blood, occult and nighttime.

Alison threw me a real challenge by choosing trickiest FFO I’ve ever had: knitting, the ocean, cats. I’m sorry to say that I did not find anything that matched all three, so I definitely need to do my homework.

I’m so honoured and excited to be part of Hear Us Scream Vol. 2, and working more with Cat in the future.

Cat’s FFO of badass, bloody, action threw the doors WIDE open so an amazing selection of action-horrors, and we eventually settled on Robert Rodriguez’s 2007 grindhouse masterpiece, PLANET TERROR.

On today’s episode I’m joined by Ariel Hansen, filmmaker, actor and co-founder of Bad Cookie Pictures.

Ariel is one of the many guests who has left me floored with her creativity - from her directing and acting talents to her clothes and costume-making skills. Her short film Nepenthes is a gooey, gory delight and just one of her many fantastic works. With her FFO of supernatural, occult and experiment, I decided to take a risk and choose a film neither of us had seen before. It doesn’t fully match the FFO but we had a wonderful time talking about it and I’d certainly list this as one of my favourite modern moody horrors.
