This month, the Arkansas Superintendent of the Year and Superintendent of Bryant Public Schools, Dr. Karen Walters, gives us information about the upcoming school year and projects. In episode 4 of the Hornet Hour Podcast, Dr. Alex Berry talks with Dr. Tyler Nelson during School Board Appreciation month about the ins and outs of being a school board member and the work they do to keep a school district running. Dr. Berry also talks with the school districts Chief Legal Counsel Jeremy Lasiter about how the district recruits and retains teachers as well as the upcoming job fair.

Bryant Public Schools has many departments and two of those departments that help the school district function are the Technology and Food Service Departments. Join us as Dr. Alex Berry has a chat with Jeremey Cunningham (Director of Technology) and Justin Fee (Assistant Director of Technology) about how their department supports a school district with over 1,000 employees and over 9,600 students. We also talk with Lisa Stogsdill (Director of Food Service), who continues to change the game in the school food service industry with her amazing team that serves over 5,400 meals per day.
