Dr. Strange in the Army of Darkness
Listen up Horror Fiends! The Horror Junkies are back for another blood curdling week of snacks and shenanigans. On this week's episode the boys get together to discuss two, that's right two Sam Raimi films. The first film up on the butcher block is the third installment in the Evil Dead franchise, Army of Darkness released in 1992. Originally, going to be titled Evil Dead III: Army of Darkness or even Medieval Darkness, Raimi delivers us a fully fleshed out Ash Williams and we are here for the 3 stooges humor and deadite action! The second film takes the Horror Junkies into the realm of Hairy, but Sweaty as we discuss his most recent work Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. This Marvel comics movies pushes the element on Marvel's typical family friendly entertainment and delivers a vivid rollercoaster of action and yes even GORE! Raimi gives us nerds the initial taste of the forbidden fruit that is Marvel Horror and it absolutely kills.

The Exorcist III & Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Listen up Horror Fiends! The Horror Junkies are back for another blood curdling week of snacks and shenanigans. On this week's episode the boys get together to discuss one of Dylan's favorite films The Exorcist III released in 1990, written and directed by the one and only William Peter Blatty. A film that in our opinion might be a better film than the original Exorcist, but you tell us what you think. We originally were going to talk about another film called Fallen that has similar elements as The Exorcist III, but we wanted to jump on the hype train and discuss the 2022 Texas Chainsaw Massacre directed by David Blue Garcia. What can we say about his film, but holy gore fest! Screw the haters, this movie is giving us exactly what we wanted from another TCM movie. Watch the movie and form your own opinion don't believe the headlines.

5CREAM
Listen up Horror Fiends! The Horror Junkies are back for another week of snacks and shenanigans after a small break due to Mike moving across the country, Patrick finally moving into his new house after so many years living in his car and then Mike got the Covid. Now that everything is back to normal, the show will be consistent and new episodes will be released every Friday wherever you find podcasts.
On this week's episode the team gets together to discuss Scream 3 released in 2000, Scream 4 released in 2011, and finally the newest installment Scream 5 or in Patricks world 5CREAM. Of course Scream 3 & 4 were directed by the Master of Horror himself, Wes Craven, with 5CREAM being directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. As with most of the Scream movies 1, 2, & 4 were written by Kevin Williamson, with 3 & 5 having different writers. So what did we think? Well your just going to have to listen and find out!

Ringu & Ju-On: The Grudge
Listen up Horror Fiends! The Horror Junkies are back for another week of snacks and shenanigans and this month Patrick pick all Japanese and Korean Horror movies for us to watch. In the final week of this weird journey we watch and discuss Hideo Nakata's 1998 release titled Ringu. Not much to say about this slow burn of a film and we might even have to say that the 2002 remake is a better film. The second film of the show is Takashi Shimizu's 2002 third installment into the Ju-On series titled Ju-On: The Grudge. A fun movie that paces with a turn of a screw with most of the events happening in the final 30 mins of the film.

Hausu & Gonjiam
Listen up Horror Fiends! The Horror Junkies are back for another week of snacks and shenanigans and this month Patrick pick all Japanese and Korean Horror movies for us to watch. In week three of this weird journey we first watch and discuss Beom-sik Jeong's 2018 release titled Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum, just think of it as a less great Grave Adventures. The next film is one that had an unexpected success when it was release backed in 1977 in Japan, but didn't get a following in the States until 2009 and that is Nobuhiko Ôbayashi's Hausu or House. We literally just had a great time watching this film and can see why it has such a cult following.
If you love Metal, then do we have a show for you, recently Dylan launched his other podcast called Metal on the Brain. This show is just 2 guys with heavy metal on the brain (both figuratively one literally) who talk new bands, music and tours coming near you! Hypnotic Devils
Listen up Horror Fiends! The Horror Junkies are back for another week of snacks and shenanigans and this month Patrick pick all Japanese and Korean Horror movies for us to watch. Week two is riddled with devils and confusion, we start with Kiyoshi Kurosawa's 1997 release Cure, a slow-burn cop drama that is often referred to as the precursor to the 90's J-Horror movement. Following that discussion we talked about a South Korean movie titled The Wailing by Na Hong-jin released in 2006. Sitting at 2hr 36 mins run time, The Wailing gives its viewers a hell of ride with ghost, possession, shaman's, and the literal devil.

The Return of the Horror Junkies
Urban Legends and Candy
This week on the Horror Junkies Podcast we continue our two-month long look into some of the best and worst 90's Slasher movies made. So if you have any suggestions, please make sure to hit us up.
Patrick picked the movies this week and secretly threw in a nice little theme with his picks. The first movie up for discussion is one that is sure to be a favourite for anyone in the horror genre. Candyman was released in 1992 and directed by Bernard Rose, and single handly made us all fear bees. The next movie we discuss is one of those titles that got lost in the vast amount of teen slashers that involved college students getting their insides ripped out. Of course, we're talking about the 1998 release by Jamie Blanks; Urban Legends.

And we're back with your normally scheduled program! This week on the Horror Junkies Podcast we start a two-month long look into some of the best and worst 90's Slasher movies made. So if you have any suggestions, please make sure to hit us up.
To start this off we decided to talk about one of Mike's favourite franchises SCREAM! Scream was released in 1996 and was directed by the horror legend Wes Craven and was such a success, that the second movie we discuss, Scream 2 was released literally the following year. Love it or hate it, the Scream movies paved the way for future Horror movies and laid out the unspoken rules of Horror.

Exclusive Interview: Austin Vesely
We got the chance to set up an interview with the director of Slice, Austin Vesely. The man who brought us this year's funniest Horror movie, starring Chance the Rapper, Chris Parnell, Zazie Beetz, and Paul Scheer to name few members of the stacked cast.
Slice takes place in a spooky small town, where a slew of pizza delivery boys is slain on the job. It's up to two daring survivors to set out and catch the culprits behind the cryptic crime spree.
The movie is available on VOD and should most definitely be watched with a large pizza and frosty beverage.

Trench 11 Interview with Leo Scherman
Because we love you all so much! Here is a bonus episode of the Horror Junkies interviewing Leo Scherman about his movie Trench 11.
Trench 11 is a film that is based around the final days of WWI. An allied army unit is led by a shell-shocked soldier to investigate a mysterious abandoned German facility located deep underground. What they find is fate worse than death.
We really enjoyed this film and you can tell that the director really pulls inspiration from John Carpenter's The Thing. This movie is available on VOD, so make sure to pick it up and get ready to find it hard to breathe.
