Manuel Nox of Living Dead Stars

Manuel Nox of Living Dead Stars

We had a great time speaking to the lead singer and creator of the band Living Dead Stars! We chatted with Nox about so many great topics including how his music is a direct reflection of his life, how his music has had an impact on his fans and a really touching story behind the band name! He also told us why he chose the logo and we of course way over-interpreted what it meant but like he says it's like his music and up for interpretation so we were ok! Some other things we got into was his operatic background and being classically trained, his love of cinematic scores, how him and Spencer made everything work while being 7 thousand miles apart and a few different stories of his bad luck over the years. Plus working with Max Green of Falling in Reverse, doing live streams before it was cool and so much more!! Thank you for listening and we hope you enjoy this interview with Manuel!

Zach Wager of Dead Animal Assembaly Plant

Zach Wager of Dead Animal Assembaly Plant

On this episode we spoke to Zach Wager of the band Dead Animal Assembly Plant or DAAP for short. Now we have to add a disclaimer before this description and you'll hear it in the intro as well but I (Jim) forgot to hit the record button on our recorder and approximately 15-20 minutes of the beginning were unfortunately not recorded. Now Zach did tell us how to achieve world peace, the meaning of life as well as how to cure cancer but sadly there is no proof and Jenna and myself cannot remember exactly what was said! Joking aside the rest of the conversation was amazing and we loved talking with Zach about their stage characters and how they get to be themselves while not being themselves and how those characters have evolved over the years. We also talked about where they shot the video for "A Violent Breed" , the early responses to the new album "Bring Out Your Dead" and the reasoning for the delay of the release. Which of course is obvious, F'ing Covid. He also tells us about dealing with internet trolls, drunks and how important it is to be respectful to the fans. We also get into DAAP graphic novel, Marilyn Manson, Twitching with Andrew W.K., live streaming shows and new material for DAAP and other projects!! As always we thank each and every one of you for listening please give us a follow, rate and review our show and check out our Facebook page to stay up to date! Thanks again and enjoy this episode with Zach!!

Henry Sanchez of Sangre and Brujeria

Henry Sanchez of Sangre and Brujeria

It was an absolute delight and an honor to get to know the extremely talented Henry Sanchez of the bands Sangre and Brujeria! We talked about speaking espanol, our limited spanish vocab and how his wife and kids are limited as well but we assume it is way better than we are at it! We also discussed his upbringing, growing up in the L.A. area during the height of the gang era, his heritage, early influences musically and how he came to be a metal fan! What was impressive to us was his work ethic which started at such a young age. He also discussed the struggles and hardships of being a musician with a family and how blessed he is to have a wonderful and amazing woman who has stood by him throughout the years! Plus how important and what a giant supporter his grandfather was in his musical journey to the point that even in his last days telling Henry how proud he was and to keep going just made our hearts melt! He also told us about how Brujeria came to him and asked him to be in the band, how he's been so lucky to tour the world with those guys. We talked about songs, album art and videos for the new album Mas Fuerte que la Muerte!! We loved talking to Henry and as always thank you so much for listening and we hope everyone enjoys this talk with Henry as much as we did! Enjoy!

Jonathan Norris of Kingdom Collapse

We had a really fun time talking to the vocalist Jonathan Norris of the Texas band Kingdom Collapse! We had a great time talking with Amir and we got a first hand account of how Ryan Shuck is doing in rehab. We also discussed the importance of realizing when you have a problem and getting help. Another thing we talked about was the extent that covid 19 has had on not only Julien-k but on Amir and Ryan since both own restaurants. The inability of being able to play hasn't slowed Amir down and Julien-k is hard at work on new record Trauma Echoes. Plus we got into the creation of Dead by Sunrise with Chester Bennington and Jonathan Davis calling them to be direct support on his solo tour. David Ellefson of Megadeth, Metal Alliegance, Altitudes and Attitude

David Ellefson of Megadeth, Metal Alliegance, Altitudes and Attitude

We got the chance to interview David back in April of last year when he came The Machine Shop in Flint, MI on his tour with Frank Bello of Anthrax playing and promoting their little side project called "Altitudes and Attitude". So this is not a new interview it is still fairly recent and will always be one of our favorites! Now we had said in the preinterview intro that we talked about Dave Mustaine cancer but we were wrong. We actually talked about Ozzy poor health situation, Mustaine was diagnosed about 2 months later. In retrospect I believe this was actually part of the reasoning for the tour being planned with Ozzy and Megadeth but with Ozzy health an actual concern at the time this is only specualtion on my part but totally plausible. Ok fact check out of the way we hope everyone enjoys this interview with the baddest bassist in the world Mr. David Ellefson!!

Jamey Porter McElroy of Rise Among Rivals

Jamey Porter McElroy of Rise Among Rivals

This interview originally aired on 6-11-18 on the internet radio station Cave Radio. Ok a little disclaimer first; here at House of Noise we support bands AND band members! In this case at the time of this interview Rise Among Rivals was newly formed as a result of two other bands disbanding. At the time Jamey was the bassist but he now is currently in the band Dead Eyes. So here in the discription there will be links for both bands because Jamey was the interviewee and we have mad respect for him as well as RAR! We are both unsure of the circumstances nor do we want to speculate so we will just leave it here as, this is all we know! With that being said we do know that Rise Among rivals is still an active band blowing up the scene, working on new material and touring! The same is true for Jameys current band Dead Eyes! Rise Among Rivals is a Maryland based modern/hard rock band with a great sound and huge stage presence!! Check the links for even more content including videos merch and tour dates! Thanks for listening and enjoy this episode!
