Sex talk: candid, honest and vulnerable conversation from Queer Ethiopians Perspective.
In this episode, our host Bahiru is having a discussion with Cuchi (one of the co-founders of House of Guramayle). Open discussion about sex and how we navigate and understand sex as Queer Ethiopian - ask questions such as how, where, and when we learn about sex.
Space and medium that teach us about sex. Are they safe, informative, and so on?
It is a candid, honest, and vulnerable conversation about sex with the hope to showcase that we must openly talk and develop a culture that is open to discussing sex.

Queerness, sex work, and Ethiopiaዊነት / Season 2 Episode 01
Bahi, aka Beki, sat down with Danny and conversed about navigating Ethiopia as a queer male sex worker. Through sets of questions, the discussion takes us through the life of Danny, from his upbringing to his aspiration as a young Ethiopian with dreams who finish high school and join higher education to became a civil engineer. How the homophobia he experienced from his family, society and government lead him to sex work to secure his financial sovereignty.
The conversation also attempts to give political analysis starting from dangerous sexual coercion, indoctrination of patriarchy within the queer community, Conversion therapy, and the importance of self-organizing as queer political resistance.
Bahiru is the host of ALEN/አለን Podcast, which is part and parcel of the ALEN/አለን Show created and produced by House of Guramayle. He is also co-founder and co-director & advocacy lead at House of Guramayle.
Demystifying
Haddis (Pseudonym) , a young man in his early 20's residing in the US sat down with me Virtually to talk about the alarming Anti gay movement in Ethiopia. We discussed Homophobia and the increasing hostility, the fear mongering they are creating. To top it off the Ethiopian government issued an Anti gay group a CSO licence. One-thing shared across African countries in 2020 was religious leaders blaming Gay people for the Pandemic. #Ethiopia #Conversionthearphy #gay #Alen
