Remembering NYC Activist Ryan Theorsen Carson

Remembering NYC Activist Ryan Theorsen Carson

I know this is three weeks behind, but please bear with me.

This podcast episode is in dedication and remembrance of our late beloved New York City environmental and social justice activist, Ryan Theorsen Carsen. In the early morning hours of Monday, October 2nd, Ryan's life was snuffed from him by a dirty no-good lowlife whom he did not know at all. His girlfriend, Claudia Morales, was unharmed but got spat on. They were both coming home from a wedding in Long Island.
Ryan was a native of East Bridgewater, which is 30 miles south of Boston. He moved to Brooklyn, NY in 2010 to pursue his activism career. From reading his work, and poetry, to watching all of the activism work he was doing from climate change to trying to end the opioid pandemic, I was touched. He truly wanted to make the world a better place for everyone in NYC and the world.
To all the right-wingers and vile media trolls that used Ryan's activism and work, to try to justify his untimely demise, Y'ALL ARE DISGUSTING! He was not anti-police, pro-BLM, or whatever it is that you try to pin on him and his girlfriend. Ryan lost his life for nothing and instead of being sympathetic, you choose the obvious route to make up lies. Don't worry. Another round of defamation lawsuits are coming your way.
Anyway, I (as pretty much as everyone else) saw the whole senseless act unfold before our very eyes. It brought me to tears (and yes, I was crying. So you can call me soft, soyboy, etc. I don't care). Ryan was a good guy who was pure of joy with hope for a brighter future. It's awful what has happened to him. As for the lowlife that did this to Ryan, I would never forgive him. Hope that he rots behind bars and never sees the light of day ever again. He took from Ryan that no one else had the right to take, LIFE!
To the friends and family of Ryan and all that knew in NYC and in Boston, I just want to say that I am so sorry that this happened. He didn't deserve that at all and I don't care what negative comments people have to say. If you're not gonna offer condolences, then keep the negativity to yourself.
Please, I STRONGLY urge you guys to listen to the video podcast (if you want ofc. I am not forcing you to. I only did this episode of the kindness of my heart). We lost a great contributor to the world that has gone too soon. Sad, gutwrenching, and heart-aching all once.
Rest easily, Ryan Theorsen Carsen. We will make sure that your work continues and that you live forever in the hearts and memories of those who love you.

Two Area Congressmen Calls To Strip The MTA Of Funding If Congestion Pricing Goes Into Fruition; New Grand Central Madison LIRR Terminal Opens Tomorrow

Two Area Congressmen Calls To Strip The MTA Of Funding If Congestion Pricing Goes Into Fruition; New Grand Central Madison LIRR Terminal Opens Tomorrow

Two Area Congressmen Calls To Strip The MTA Of Funding If Congestion Pricing Goes Into Fruition. Mike Lawyer (R-NY) and Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ) vows to create a legislation on the house floor in Congress, striping the MTA of funding that they were already granted through the American Rescue Plan and the Infrastructure Jobs and Investment Act. This proposed legislation is named the Anti-Congestion Act. It would take away money that the MTA would receive down the line for future projects and instead give it to drivers via a federal tax credit who pays congestion pricing. That will do more harm than good; meaning that this act would make the MTA cut service, raise fares for both straphangers and drivers on the bridges and tunnels. This sham, sad excuse of a bill will barely pass the House, but will not pass the Senate and will be vetoed if that bill reaches the President's desk.

Also, the wait is finally over. Grand Central Madison will be open for the public tomorrow, with the first train arriving into Grand Central Madison at 11:07 am, followed by the first departure at 11:15 am. Shuttle service will operate between Jamaica and the new terminal within the first couple of weeks, followed by service by all branches.

Groundwork For MetroNorth's Access to Penn Station; Subway Service Adjustments Coming Later This Year; Fare Hikes For 2023

Happy New Year! In the first episode of the HubTalk Chronicles Podcast in the year of 2023, we are discussing the official groundwork immediately underway for four MetroNorth stations that would serve the deserted southeast Bronx such as Hunts Point, Parkchester-Van Nest, Morris Park, and Co-Op City. North Brooklyn riders will see an increase in G, J, and M line service. The A Express and C Local will have an early start in the AM rush hours. However, the 1, 6, 7, E, F, L, and Q lines will see a slight decrease during Monday and Friday. This is all catering to meet pre-pandemic levels in terms of ridership. Lastly, a fare hike is planned for the year of 2023, which should be held off until the full retirement of MetroCards. Enjoy!

Remembering 911 & Its Aftermath (2 Decades Later)

Remembering 911 & Its Aftermath (2 Decades Later)

A little over two decades ago today, the worst terrorist attack unfolded on United States soil. The purpose of this podcast episode is to remember and honor those who perished on that horrible day back on 9/11/2001 at the World Trade Center, American Airlines Flight 11, United Airlines Flight 175, American Airlines Flight 77 & the Pentagon, and United Airlines Flight 93 at Shanksville, Pennsylvania as the six victims of the 02/26/1993 WTC bombing incident. May the sacrifice of the first responders (343 firefighters and 60 police officers [37 PANY&NJ and 23 NYPD members) and some civilians be never forgotten. We also remember those who cleaned up Ground Zero in the weeks and months after 9/11 including those who succumbed to 9/11 related illnesses. Thank You and Enjoy. 9/11 Never Forget.

Remembering The MTA 2010 Service Cuts.....12 Years Later

Remembering The MTA 2010 Service Cuts.....12 Years Later

I know....I know. I was originally supposed to post this up back in late June but some things came so this was delayed. In this episode, we discuss the service cuts from 2010 that occurred due to a multi-million dollar deficit. More than a dozen bus routes were discontinued, shortened, and/or rerouted/extended to provide cover for another route that was eliminated. The (V) and (W) trains were discontinued (the (W) returned as of November 7th, 2016). The (G) was cut from Queens Boulevard. The (M) was rerouted via the Chrystie Street tunnel, bypassing Lower East Side-2nd Av, operating along 6th Ave, 53rd St, and Queens Blvd via LOCAL. Service south of Essex St was discontinued. Honestly, I believe that the bus redesigns that the MTA is doing for each borough will restore coverage for routes and/or segments that was slashed in 2010. Nassau was also affected by the service cuts for their bus system. The Staten Island Railway (SIR) no longer served the Stadium stop. Thomas Prendergast was NYCT President, Jay Walder was the MTA Chairman/CEO, and David Paterson was governor during that time.  Please listen to the full episode and enjoy.

Exposing and Confronting Kenneth Rembert and Andy Quito (Andy from NYC)

WARNING! THIS IS AN EXPLICIT EPISODE (LOTS OF CURSING!) SO, IF YOU ARE NOT A FAN OF FOUL LANGUAGE, DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS EPISODE! Hey guys. This is a very rare episode. This is COMPLETELY out of my element, but this has to be done. I have never done an episode like this. So, in this episode, I dig deep and go in on the two idiotic, hypocritical morons, Kenneth Rembert and Andy Quito (Andy from NYC). Kenneth Rembert is 42 y/o ignorant, disrespectful, idiot-moron who spreads wildly inaccurate information about the NYC Transit System, stalks and harasses people whenever someone debunks his lies. Andy Quito (Andy from NYC) is a liar and fraud. He whines, moans, and complains about his neighborhood being filled with criminal, but yet he participates in criminal activities such as cyberbullying, harassment, intimidation, stalking, doxing, and misogyny. He's mad that he lives in a mildly crime infested area and he takes it out on people. Both Kenneth Rembert and Andy Quito are ignorant, idiotic fools who needs to be off the internet for good.

Remembering The Union Square Wreck-30 Years Later

Remembering The Union Square Wreck-30 Years Later

Today is the 30th anniversary of the tragic 1991 Union Square Derailment Wreck that has left 5 people deceased and 161 people injured. The motorman in question was intoxicated while on duty operating a southbound (4) train. He overshot two stations in the Bronx and caused one of the worst accidents in NYCTA history. The disgraced, drunk operator was found not guilty of murder but was found guilty of five counts of second degree manslaughter and was sentenced to 5-15 years in prison and then sentenced for 1-7 years for assault of 26 of the injured passengers. He was released in April 2002, and was on parole until 2007. The operator got a dose of karma when he became the victim of a hit-and-run accident by a drunk driver in 2015. Plus, a tribute to the late singer Aaliyah. Please listen and enjoy.

Discussing This Weekend's G/O & Most/Least Congested Subway Lines/Stations, Motorman Released From Job, Increase Of MetroNorth Service, Change Of West End (D) Service, Relaunch Of Bus Redesign Network

  • This past weekend’s General Order for the headways (gap in service) for the (F) & (G) trains have been horrendous to say the least despite of the #TakeTheGToTheSea rally.

Also, there is an uptick increase of crime underground, making the subways unsafe in the process. How do you feel about NYC's return to normalcy? Please listen and enjoy.

Andy Byford vs Andrew Cuomo: What REALLY Happened-Coming From The Hub's Point Of View

Andy Byford vs Andrew Cuomo: What REALLY Happened-Coming From The Hub's Point Of View

New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo is under hot water as of recent; ranging from the nursing home scandal to being accused of unwanted advances by six women to threatening State Assemblyman Ron Kim from Flushing. But the one thing that eludes from the mind of fellow New Yorkers is the way he treated ex-NYCT President and current TfL (Transport for London) commissioner, Andy Byford. In this episode, I explain the undermined, egotistical, dictatorship, jealousy, micromanagement behavior that Cuomo displayed, that made Byford’s job “intolerable” and pushed him to resignation.  I went off on Cuomo for his actions and defend Byford’s deeds and accomplishments during his time with NYCT. Please listen and enjoy this very special episode.

The R211A's base order will be running on the 8th Avenue/Fulton Street line due to 8th Ave CBTC and be discussing the timeline delivery schedule for the R211As, R211Ss, and R211Ts. MTA MetroNorth Yard Worker & LIRR Assistant Conductor Arrested For Their Roles In The Horrific January 6th Capitol Hill Insurrections

MTA MetroNorth Yard Worker & LIRR Assistant Conductor Arrested For Their Roles In The Horrific January 6th Capitol Hill Insurrections

MetroNorth Yard Worker William Pepe (33 from Beacon, NY) and far right-winged conspiracy theorist Steven Rosati (28 from Lindenhurst, NY) have recently been arrested for their roles in the deadly January 6th Capitol Hill insurrections. Their actions they both took that day was awful and disgusting. It compromises the values of the MTA, their sub-agencies, and the state of New York. In my eyes, both of them needs to be fired effective immediately. They took activity in domestic terrorism where five people, including a Metro DC police officer have passed away as a result of the idiotic Trumpanzees wild and vile behavior. NOTE: This is a 30-minute long episode. I highly recommend you play the episode up to 3.5x speed. We are not done with this Capitol Hill coverage.....more to come.
